Say hi on instagram @ johannessteudel
On that diesel heater, if your running a long 3” hose and get a E-05 code (overheat code) think about switching that to a 4” hose.
Great video, beautiful country in western Canada, a lot different than eastern side, we don’t get this epic mountain views. Looks like a pretty nice build for overlanding
Fantastic video mate I'm in Brisbane Australia I have never touched or seen snow I'm in a tropical state of Queensland I've grown up boating and water skiing and fishing one day would love to come to your world looks very cold 😂😂 keep up the incredible content mate cheers
Sounds like a good time! We’d love to come to Aus
-4f is the coldest I've camped in
Awesome adventure hwy 40 and Ram falls looks stunning in winter I've been there is the spring on my motorcycle but never in winter, nice editing as well
One of our favourite places! Thanks for watching 😄
What a stunning landscape, 3 Toyotas and 1 Jeep, what a good combination !!! I love the vid.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Those handheld Cobras have some great features. I wonder how many watts of power they have to get out with? Today, is the first time watching any of your videos - so I subscribed.👍
Beautiful Landcruiser there bud
Great footage as always!
Man, you're living my dream. 👋
Utterly amazing place you have there.
The Troopy looks handsome too among the newer cars
Excellent content! Really enjoyed watching some overlanding in Alberta!
This kind of overlanding might become more relevant as we move forward. As we grapple with more and more forest fires during the summer months it might be more satisfying to camp during the off season where there are no bugs and less wildfire smoke. Your Toyota is quite the rig. I like it.
Interesting theory for sure. We’ve found the shoulder seasons of spring and fall to be the best camping times. Summer can get too hot and winter obviously too cold
@@allterraintrailsdefinitely agree. Shoulder season is the best.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL scenery and are those horses wild? they are so majestic, I'm in Canada, but not that side of our Country.
Great video Johannes, we had a little bit of snow unexpectedly over night once when camping, I woke everyone up to have a look ! a new experience for us
I love the one less sprinter sticker! super rare overland land cruiser setup for the win!
😄
Thanks for the video.
I always looking forward to see new trails in alberta. Specially hwy40.
Hopefully see you on the trail.
The dynamic duo strike again! Great footage as always! 👏😁
😄
Gorgeous waterfalls
Great one Johannes🤙! Love it. Videos are getting very good🤙
Thanks so much!
Nice episode
WOW! (Brrrr!) Nicely captured adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Winch should've been tested before the trip lol
Great video!
Thanks!!
I have camped in a tent at -32 a couple of times. The first time it had snowed over night. The snow was so deep we had to dig our way out of the tent. I could stand up in the middle of the tent. When we got dug out and looked back at the tent there was only a foot of the centre pull that could be seen of the tent..
Was this in Canada? That’s a lot of snow! We’ve never had to dig our way out thankfully!
Yes It was a few years ago. In the mountains of southern Alberta. We were on our winter course for the military. It was a five man teepee type tent.
I was always told to carry 20 liters for every 50 miles / 80 km after filling up. Especially in my 5.4 f150. So I normally carry 80 extra liters of fuel. Which is good for 350 to 390 kms in case I gotta turn around. First-time viewer, definitely will sub. I'm just getting ready to build up my f150
Good theory for amount of fuel to carry!
Nice Troupey
25:50. Where is that!!? Absolutely stunning!
Cold tented at -37 in Ontario. While in Nordegg did ya visit the Pie shop (Miners Cafe) yummy.
I wonder if you can get a larger fuel tank for your heater. Another 1/2 on top of what you have would be great.
Great adventure. I’m curious why you don’t name any of the places you go to along the forestry trunk road?
We have the same rules here and you will notice most guys respect these rules to avoid mass migration of holiday makes. Besides the beauty is in discovering. What else is Google maps for 😜
Very very cool footage, I would love to join that tour with my troopy 😃 Do yours have lockers front and rear?
Greetings from Germany, Bjørn
Open in the front and limited slip in the rear!
@@allterraintrails Aaah, cool, LSD works fine with the proper oil😁👍🏼
Mine has front and rear lockers, a former 2014 model international red cross service car. There is dust and mud from Africa and Ukraine to find in thw chassis stil.😅
Very cool! What kind of lockers are you using?@@greyknight05
@@allterraintrails The electromagmetic Toyota factory ones, they do work fine.😁 I would change them maybe if they should fail, but until now they do a good job.
I just reinstalled the original Aisin-Toyota winch (Industrial grade), not fast but good pulling power👍🏼
New sub. Great video. How are you powering your diesel heater? Off the main batteries of the vehicle? I have a diesel heater set up in my bus but power it from a separate battery bank charged by my alternator and solar. I now have a jeep and want to set up a diesel heater for my jeep. I just don’t have as much space as I do in the bus and therefore my power source will need to be smaller. I’d be interested in seeing how you power your heater for this rig. Thanks so much. 🤙
Hi! We’re using a dual battery system to power the heater 👍🏼 here’s a link to the video about the system
