Where did you end up sourcing the receiver with the trunnion already welded in? I haven't looked in a while, but in my searches in the past I've generally only seen them as bare shells.
@@Hondatech26 McKay makes the receiver and bolt setup, since you have to convert to closed bolt to be legal. They’re pretty much the only company still making the functional parts for an UZI in 2024. Not a super expensive build, just a hard one to source parts for. Took me the better part of a year to catch everything in stock. Stick around, building a UMP45 next!
@@sorryociffer also, mind you, they go out of stock a lot and when they do, it takes them a LONG time to restock. I’m talking like the majority of the year type wait. I waited on my Semi auto conversion bolt for months.
@@sorryociffer if I’m not mistaken the newer receivers go for $500ish as well as the bolts. I’ve had my stuff for a while, they were both a few hundred dollars cheaper when I purchased. Same with part kits. Part kits used to go for $200-300 but now seem to be twice that.
