honestly, the best retrogaming list i've ever seen. all of these games are better than pc versions. even in the middle of 90's, amiga was still a superior gaming machine than pc. all it needed was a built in harddisk.
I reckon I played about 2/3 of these. SuperFrog was my favourite platformer, no contest. Of the top of my head, I played Transarctica and Fire Force like a maniac, and of course, Sensible (World of) Soccer.
Dyna Blaster. We meet with 8! friends on one room and everyone we Play on one 1! computer: we put second keyboard - two persons on one and two on second, then two on joystick and two on mouses. Ther was a lot of fun and Play! Can you imagine that??
Well done! You scored 53/100. I deducted 1 point for cheating on Rock 'n' Roll. The ones you got wrong are: Alien Breed should have been Alien Breed: Special Edition. Dune should have been Dune II. Alien Breed 3 should have been Alien Breed: Tower Assault (4th game in the series). Utopia should have been K240. Stardust should have been Super Stardust.
Watching the video I remembered a few of the missing ones: 0:05 Defender of the Crown 0:10 Faery Tale Adventure 0:19 Boulderdash 0:25 Dungeon Master 1:54 Xenon II Megablast 2:40 The Killing Game Show 3:46 Grand Prix Circuit (recommendation) 4:29 P.P.Hammer 5:37 Jaguar XJ-220 6:42 Desert Strike 6:48 Dune 2 (RTS Genre Grandfather) 6:59 Hired Guns (supports 4 simultaneous players) 7:33 The Settlers/Die Siedler 8:18 Banshee 8:32 Benefactor 9:01 Subwar 2050 9:47 Gloom Deluxe
Nice list, I cant believe I played most of it. Sad Megalomania and Switchblade didnt make the cut. :p I'm actually looking for 2 games that I remember playing at the time but dont recall the names. 1. Post apocalyptic setting, sort of like Fallout, and the goal of the game was that you had an overworld with settlements that you could capture like in the game Syndicate, with your own group of mercenaries that you had to equip. 2. A dungeon crawler but in a sci fi setting where you were in some sort of mech. Sadly can't go into deeper detail, I was very young still at the time and cant remember the games too well.
Ah Simon the Sorcerer, has been and always will be my most Favourite game of all time. The music and story has not been beating in over 30 years! They dont make them like they used too,i'd rather play these games than CoD : AW anyday!
I just realized something. The SNES ( super nintendo) Got also so famous cuz of alot of amiga games. I reconize so many from the snes. But seems amiga made them first:P
Amiga was the name of the computer, sold by Commodore. "Amiga" didn't make the games- these were the Amiga versions/ports of some great games developed by a number of talented software developers. Many consider the Amiga version of most of these games superior to their ports on other formats, though, so they could probably be considered the definitive versions of the games at that time. I had an Atari ST, but I remember a truckload of these quite fondly. I played some of their PC ports too (such as Beneath a Steel Sky), and have revisited a handful of the original Amiga/ST games with emulators over the years. It's amazing how some of them barely age - even with low resolutions and limited colour palettes, they stand head and shoulders above the vast majority of 'freemium' crapware people throw continuous streams of money at nowadays. It's not the same any more. *sigh* :(
Wel I agree on the old times where better. This week I got for instance shadow warrior 2013.. My god, im so disapointed haha. THe real shadow warrior on dos is way more entertaining and is way more exciting.
Martijn van Zanen : What gets me more than anything is the sheer amount of pixel crack that people waste their money on daily - they continuously pay to play rubbish that you once got twenty (superior) versions of in a shareware collection for the price of a floppy. Games aren't games any more - they're playable adverts for mugs.
WhiteHawkUK Ye I agree. ALl games are to easy, dumb, lack fantasy, has a stupid auto save each 2 min ... U can't lose really. Also the games are to realistic like carry 2 weapons max... jeez:S
I remember that. He didn't jump (¡ɹoop ǝɥʇ ɟo ʞɔɐq ǝɥʇ ɯoɹɟ ƃuıƃuɐɥ s,ǝɥ). I was pleasantly surprised to recognise many of those games. I had an Atari ST, but I don't play favourites. I'm bathing in the warm glow of nostalgia. :)
Does anyone remember a game where you control a Saturn-like bouncing object with which you have to place a certain number of doughnut-like objects on special tiles to proceed to the next level? Can't find it anywhere! For what I recall it was named something like "the abyss" but I could be wrong 😅
Some of these games will be on my top 100. I do have two Amigas one A500+ and a A1200. If I just want to play a game I use my Raspberry Pi 4. It is the fast and ueses usb keybord and mouse I have a USB adapter for my Amiga joystick.spberry Pi Raspberry Pispberry Pi
I'm looking for a game that started with an intro where you were a pilot flying in the midle of a battle in the air with a plane like a boeing 17 when suddenly u got shot by other planes and you and your plane crashes into a some sort of jungle or island where a semnaked woman is tied to a pole and then a t-rex appears. The style of the game are similar to flashback or another world, maybe you know the name of the game I'm looking for, thanks.
Im feeling free and leave a commi here :D i like your list but im searching 2 amiga games :/ perhaps you know the name of them. 1. 2 Maps, outside was the view of your red car with weapons and inside was like a 2,5D and your guy moving around. with a hand gun and usuall green shini zombies in it. there your job was to find fuel, ammo, weapons. i think its the last stage, but there was a 3rd map with a car race to the death. game 2, has the look of the game Anarchy at 2:06. you had a mothership as base, landing on different planets. usually you have to clean out a planet, docking and move to the next. and, as far as i know, its long long ago ^^, you had to dock for refuel and repair. i rember it because every planet has an epic soundtrack ^^ can´t find these 2 :(
The game like Anarchy may have been "Soldier of light", also called "Xain'd Sleena" in arcades, although mostly you were sent down to each planet as a space suited soldier, not in a spaceship. There were segments between planets though where you are flying a spaceship.
Really nice list of games, you chose to show us. :) May I ask what is the game at 9:00 ? Some submarine? Never saw a game like that on Amiga and it really interests me... Is it playable on OCS ?
dcoates14 Thank you for your reply! :) I found it in Hall of Light and it is in deed AGA game, so it will not be playable on my A500 with ACA500 when I buy it... Oh well, it looked too good to be true :D Though I will use your list of games for inspiration when my ACA500 arrives.
I just can't understand what is the purpose of creating such video with many games inside where there is no info about game name !!! Maybe just add to video description time and game name to help users find answer on question what game was presented at e.g 1:45 ?
This makes no sense. Time is too short for one game at a time. If I look away for something, I've already missed a game. This makes the viewer constantly stare at the monitor, which is tiring.
Oh dear god, I remember all of these. It takes me back to a time when gaming was pure fun, not deadly serious.
played them 90 % and almost all with my friends, what a great childhood memories !
honestly, the best retrogaming list i've ever seen. all of these games are better than pc versions. even in the middle of 90's, amiga was still a superior gaming machine than pc. all it needed was a built in harddisk.
Finally a list with Deuteros in it ^^
I have now added the game titles and times to the description.
put it in the fuckin video you idiot
Thanks for this vid :D brought lots of good memories. I especially liked when every game had its own music and sounds.
Great list. I just realised i still remember the name of most of those games!
I reckon I played about 2/3 of these. SuperFrog was my favourite platformer, no contest.
Of the top of my head, I played Transarctica and Fire Force like a maniac, and of course, Sensible (World of) Soccer.
Lovely collection. So many good games.

I would not mind a hundred games in 100 minutes
Played about 20 from this list :)
So many great games!! Wish you'd put some text up though, i've forgotten the names of half the ones i played.
In May 2020, this video appeared in my suggestions, with “68k views”. 😂
Ah Simon the Sorcerer, has been and always will be my most Favourite game of all time. The music and story has not been beating in over 30 years! They dont make them like they used too,i'd rather play these games than CoD : AW anyday!

this is a very nice collection of games

Subwar 2050. In WinUAE I need at least an A1200 config to run the game so I would say no for OCS.

hoobix, it was rhetorical question.
NIce but video's are a bit to short:P PLs do at least 10 a 15 sec a game:)
Yes, that's a good idea. 15 secs per game would make it a 25 min video.
Heh, thanks for the feedback anyhows mate.
Its good that you're still active:)

well, you have forgotten to add game names at the bottom of every movie. Without names this movie is useless.
