I lived for a few years in Riga - it is a really nice city! Sadly many Latvians are not very open to foreigners and quite cold.

We spent two weeks in Riga in 2013 to attend the Special Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. We had a wonderful time making new friends and exploring Riga and the surrounding area. Then in 2019 we had the opportunity to return to Europe and spent another week in Riga and time on the beach near Jurmala. We love Lativa, its people, whether ethnic Russian or Lativian, and our brothers and sisters Jehovah's Witnesses. When you watch this video you may notice at 6.08 there is a square blue sign for JW.ORG, the website of Jehovah's Witnesses internationally. That sign is located in Riga at a Kingdom Hall which we attended when we visited there. We would visit Latvia again anytime and truly hope we can again soon.
