Ohhhhh Lousje….your story about the raincoat made me cry. I wear my mother’s eternity ring that she wore every day to keep me close to her. And I have a pair of socks that I knitted while I sat in the nursing home visiting my dad. He helped me out by holding the yarn so I could wind it into a ball. He has been gone from us for almost ten years now…..(both of them passed in 2014) and so I turned these socks into slippers by adding a leather sole and as such don’t wash them. It brings me comfort knowing his hands touched the yarn used to knot the socks.
Lovely stories. Don’t part with the scarf. Bring in out and display-maybe a cushion/pillow cover??
Great idea! Thank you for sharing🧡
