I love watching your older videos! This was a ridiculously clean van, probably one of the nicest vehicles I’ve seen that you’ve had over the years even if it was just a minivan.
those Areostars was built in St. Louis MO at the Hazelwood plant 1984-1997. Its shut down and torn down now. both of my parents worked there and meet there, my dad 1964-1995 31 years, and my mom 1976-1993 17 years (she was on med leave). both are passed away now. great looking royal blue 1996 XLT EXT there Nathan! :)
Yeah, this was a more boxier design from the Toyota Previa, Chevy Lumina MPV, the Pontiac Transport and Olds Silhouette, but I always liked the Aerostar better than the Town And Country and Caravan because of how rare they are today.
@@Noah-M-P why did all the brands change the name of their vans so much LOL. Ford Aerostar, Windstar, Chevy Venture, Uplander, Chryster Town County, Chrysler Pacifica, Toyots Previa, Sienna lol

My mom had one of these. Replaced in 1999 with a 2000 sienna XLE with the power sliding door and rear A/C controls. The coolest thing my kindergarten self remembers at the time
Had a 93 4 liter extended put 1 transmission at around 235,000 the trans shop didn't believe it was the original, but I did the pan, filter and flush myself often with 3-3500 on oil changes anyhow when I junked it, it had 475,000 aprox and still ran - although not that good. I spent more on tires than anything else, and only left me on the roadside once when trans went. I got lucky with that sucker. oh yeah 2 starters, both at local wallmart and 1 alternator making noise.
I loved my aerostar. Just got rid of it a couple days ago. Extremely reliable. Drove it across the country twice and all the way up and down HW 95. I miss that thing.
My family had one of these from sometime in the '90s to 2003, when we got a new Windstar SEL in the same maroon our Aerostar was in. Seeing the interior of this one really takes me back. This one was in INCREDIBLY good shape, almost looks like it just rolled out of the dealer in 1996 (the low mileage is probably a big reason for that). But I guess with 10 years having gone by since this video, who knows what shape it's in now... Fun (maybe) fact: One of my earliest memories of life is barfing in the back seat of our Aerostar, probably in 1997 or so

Awesome looking Aerostar. I remember when they debuted back in the mid 80s. At the time I thought it was quite attractive, way better than the Chevy Astro. 30+yrs on, they still look quite attractive. I find them more attractive than what's on the market today.
That could also explain it's extreme cleanliness. My Buick Century has an absolutely immaculate interior but the body has some scuffs and marks and there is a little bit of rust underneath it, but other than that, it's quite similar to this Aerostar. My Century is from 2000, so it's much newer.
I had the Eddie Bauer edition. It had a 10-band equalizer for the stereo amongst some incredible other features. Inflatable front seats etc. Decent vans.
I've always disliked how this vans looked even when they were new.....but now after watching this video I gotta say I love how this van looks, especially the extended length aurostar like this one, but more then anything the big seller for me is the AWD! Nice little van,, It's great that all the underside has been cleaned so when everything starts leaking, you will be able to see where it's leaking from, I bet it gets decent gas mileage too
My parents had one of these when I was young. My only memory of it was being carried to it when I fell and busted open my leg, quick to the ER! Haha my dad always talked about how he missed the 4x4 van
