I love how they reused this theme in Hacker's Memory when Arata supports you in the fight against Arcadimon-possessed Ryuuji. Especially when you remember from where they came from and how the past of these 2 characters had been 👍
Awesome music. No. That doesn't even begin to do this justice. This is the fucking quality music that you think of when you think if you like a character and why, what defines them. And this is Arata Sanada.
honestly my first thought was "ok...first off you wanted power....and to help out...so why the fuck did u not go for the enemy knights....like...wtf...your making it soo much more difficult..." of course i like the challenge he gives
I love how the violin slowly comes into the foreground, eventually drowning out the guitar. It's great storytelling in music if you consider the guitar represents Arata and the violin represents the MC.
Hoo...Hoo Boy. When this theme first started playing, I had to put my controller down and absorb the moment. This theme is probably one the coolest, most heart-sinking tunes in the whole of Digimon.
The Anticipated New World would like to have a word with you. But all jokes aside, this is an amazing theme, and it made me even more mad at Arata for eating Gallantmon
It absorbs based on a % of damage dealt. If you defend his charge attack, his healing gets fucked up a little and it gives you a good opportunity to recover, debilitate him and proceed to wreck him some more.
@@originalmaincharacter5714 You sure? I watched my bro switch to lv.1 Digimon to absorb the Power Impulse Tyrant Cluster and he still healed all his hp. This was on hard mode, Switch version.
It might be just me but my full party of 99lv digimon barely took 1k damage from his charge attacks, throw in King Etemon with Moneky Wrench and he wasnt dangerous at all.
This fight on Hard Mode was such a surprise for me. First time playing, first time with a Digimon game, and I went all in on Hard Mode. I had a few Game Over’s. The “Eve” Eater (where it has Yuuko) messed me up, and BanchoLeomon was pretty tough. But the difficulty jump when going to Arata was insane. I could immediately tell that I wasn’t going to be able to cheese it or do anything with my current team, and I spent the next 3-4 days beefing everyone up. Noise Guard really helped too. This theme suits Arata so well, and I’m glad my favorite character got such an awesome song. I love this game.
I think I'm getting really close to this fight (in cyber sleuth as I have the complete edition and haven't started hackers memory yet). I'm in the same position as you with being my first game and first playthrough. But I did my research so it hasn't been as difficult, eater eve definitely did some damage though. I've spent so much time grinding my digimon that I've maxed out the Friggin playtime clock on the save file, probably from leaving the game open on my switch overnight or something.
Get defence penning attacks, like cannonbeemon or (if you have her) rosemon BM work amazingly. Just remember to block when he winds up his AOE and youll be fine (I was on normal granted but still
May I point out: the fucking orchestral melody under the heavy guitar, sending the moment like you're facing something out of your reach, hoping to scratch its surface as, on the second half, the orchestra fades away, leaving a spot for the same melody to be played through electronic instruments, or otherwhise electronically distorted orchestrals, putting a foot down as you fight your way through, fucking Arata and his goddamn awesomeness.
For me, my eyes sharpened, Vegeta-style, and I let out a sigh of contained anger... *Followed by taking an imaginary battle stance!* Then, I said: " You want my power, do you? Okay, then. *I'LL MAKE YOU CHOKE ON IT!* " (Yeah, I watch so much Anime and DB that I show emotions native to those naturally! 😅😆)
I'll bet it did. Defensive strats are the difference between it taking forever and just not winning at all. They nerfed it a bit in the duology re-release (Enemies are only 1.5x as strong rather than a flatout 2x) but the Vita fight was goddamn rough as hell.
+Machiri Lilithmon is the answer to everything. :P Anything else may as well be a baby compared to her. She can even one-shot Vaccine types with Phantom Pain if you hit them with Bug first.
Anything and everything that pierces and has a double/triple multiplier is basically NEEDED for end-game hard mode unless you plan on cheesing with de/buffs(and even then some bosses like the GC Royal Knights shrug those off)
Oh hello Arata. Guess we're finally fighting this out, huh. Welp. You saw how I took out that big dragon. You know what comes next buddy. Attack Charge Field, Acceleration Charge, *ALL FOR ONE BIG HELPING OF FLASHY BOSS PUNCHHHHH BABY*
+Saif Al-Farai UlForceVeemon and a digimon with a Def-penetrating attack might work. WarGreymon is the easiest to get for that. I did this before thinking of going down that route. Fight is painful without some kind of Defense-ignoring attack.
+Zenihdrol WarGreymon may be the easiest option, but he's not the best. Against any troublesome Eater, Lilithmon is your best friend since Phantom Pain ignores DEF, deals *triple* dark damage, *and* has a 35% chance to inflict Poison. The most broken move in the entire game by far.
I defeated him this evening. It took every single Mega in my team to beat him. He just kept shrugging off a lot of their attacks. So I kept switching them out to gradually chip away at his health.

+Darkstar263 Digimon who can pierce defense are your best friends against Eaters (including Eater!Arata), *especially* Lilithmon. Lilithmon is overpowered as hell with her Phantom Pain skill.
I had Alphamon Ouryuken, Rosemon Burst Mode, and Crimson Gallantmon go up against him on my most recent playthrough. Why strategize when you can triple pierce him to eternity and back?
I've beaten him on hard mode. I lost many times. It was a though battle and the only battle where I had to use Guard to minimize his special attack. My team: - Ravemon BM LV60 - MetalSeadramon LV90 - BlackWarGreymon LV90 - Gatomon LV99
It does nuke damage bc Tyrant Cluster is a penetrating attack. Which tends to do the most damage. On NG+, I had a Sakuyamon hold a Memetan Replica and it blocked the damage as I was curious myself to see why it did that much damage. Eater ADAM is by far one of the harder bosses in the game. Playing this game as the first time in hard is so surprising: lets go my digis are strong enough to go to the end :D arata: no, you are not strong enough arata goes 5 turns consecutively :U
None of my friends could beat him on hard, they reverted to normal mode for this fight. I didn't see what the problem was. I just had my PltNumemon nuke his SPD to hell and spammed Mastemon's 25% damage attack til he was at half health and switched to BlkWarGrey for his DEF ignore attack. As long as you defend his charged attacks, he's not that big of a deal.
Original Maincharacter He was still hard though, I had to beat him with my Lilthmon's Super charged Phantom Pain, My Hououmon Speed advantage, My Shine Greymon's Geo flame, My Minervamon strike roll, Beelzemon's special skill that rises attack power every turn. every now and then I had to use Sakuyamon and Kuzuhamon to take away his special stats. That fucker was really hard though. Never got the chance to fight him on normal.
Im gonna be completely honest, I really hate he's after you beat him he is instantly forgiven for everything he's done and then this is quickly forgotten. Almost as fast as people forget about Leopardmon after you beat him
The worst thing he did was absorb Gallantmon(far as we know anyway) and he's shown on the roof okay, but injured, so he didn't do anything irredeemable.
@@TwistahsWorld Two things, With Gallantmon defusing, ot makes you wander whether the other beings be absorbed were diffused, and the second, I wander how much control he actually had over himself despite his assurances he could control it. How did you beat him in four turns? It took me over 20 turns to take him down, and I was using a plat digimon before in every fight for the extra exp. Also, it is nice to see a new comment.
I sadly didn't have those two. I was using some random Digimon that I got over time due to their strengths and types since I never looked up who are the strongest.
Kingetemon made this fight a joke even on hard mode. Just used monkey wrench a couple times then one shotted him with an acceleration boosted corona destroyer from Beelzemon BM

To be honest Arata isn't all that tough on hard either if you know to debuff his speed and buff yours, so you can time when to guard vs his Tyrant Cluster(fuck). Then you just slowly whittle down his HP until he starts spamming Tranquility and it becomes a matter of outdamaging him so he kills himself with the 3rd level ATK buff.

apparently Gallantmon survived, just injured.
When Gallantmon first returned after that I thought he would soon become ChaosGallantmon and be another boss.
InsertNameHerePl0X He absorbed Takato!
I like how they reused this for Beelzemon in Hacker's Memory when he kills SkullMeramon.
It's the generic best character in the fucking game music, that's all

This fight in hard mode was hell
