- In the past my solo overnighters have been relatively close to home in familiar territory, for this trip I ventured a little further for a 3 day loop to the north into remote unknown terrain. Great Northern, if that's all you had left in the bottom of the Esky, and only if you were really adventurous. It's a Cooper's pale Ale or an Asahi super dry, there's no substitute. Absolutely cracking campsite very prehistoric looking and remote . Editing and footage absolutely bang on Josh, keen for episode 2 . Cheers 🍻

Yeah mate, it's not like XXXX Gold is top shelf shit but for a similar priced beer I rate it a lot better than northern. We've all got different taste I'm just genuinely surprised how popular the crap is, but then again so is VB so go figure 😁 Cheers man 🍻

Great Northern does the job, outback jack is my go to, the misses likes low carb so Hahn is another regular, xxxx is usually the bottom of my list, Mid strength is good cause you can have one for lunch and still function, later on add a little green ginger wine and you got a nice top shelf drink.... great movie Josh, thanks for your regular content, I don't like TV either so I do look forward to your video....

Inspiring mate, I might give it go around the Glasshouse for a trial before venturing to far from home , any good spots you could recommend ?
At Glasshouse? That area's not my specialty mate but your best bet is Google satellite maps, look for somewhere fairly remote with no dwellings nearby and get off any well used tracks 🤙

In Victoria, Great Northern is a beer often gifted when someone does you a favour and then re-gifted to someone else because nobody wants to drink it. I think 80% of Victorians have had that one slab pass through their hands. It's probably out of date by now or some desperate man drank it. In saying that, Victoria Bitter is a terrible beer that is enormously popular. Coopers are good beers, same with Mountain Goat. But hey it's all about arseholes and opinions eh?! Great video Josh, keep an eye and ear out for the hairy man!

This Canuck has yet to sample a not so great Northern, but our local BC “Lucky” is undoubtedly the equivalent moose piss. No idea why anyone swears by it in this era of craft brew mega selections. Mr. Peart wrote some outstanding songs & books. Ghost rider being one of his darker ones, understandably. If you enjoy it, check some his others. Explore a few Rush tracks too for that speaker mate, hall of fame Canuck rockers, well worth a listen.
I guess a lot of it comes down to cost vs quantity consumed, my beloved Gold isn't the best beer ever but it's relatively cheap. I drink the good stuff like craft beers on occasion but 90% of those here only come in glass bottles which of course makes them unsuitable for bike camping. I did listen to some Rush mate they're certainly skilled musos, couple of tracks like Tom Sawyer I dug but on the whole not really my cup of tea. Don't be mad 😅😬 Cheers

I so wish we could wild camp in England, be ace to go on an adventure like this... although with England being so small, we'd probs only be 5min from a supermarket or pub, even in the sticks! 😀

From what I've seen I wouldn't say killer, maybe another decent competitor though. Honda's suspension possibly not as good, and it has all the rider mode crap apparently but a bit more power which would be nice. I dunno I can see the Honda fans going for it if it's priced well. Have they even released pricing yet?

Do the webs often have poisonous spiders in them? I've heard there's all kinds of critters that can kill you in Australia, sharks, snakes , spiders, etc. Just curious if it's true?
These webs are Golden Orb Weavers, they'll bite to defend themselves but usually they just wanna get away from ya. They're not poisonous apparently but the bite's still unpleasant. The webs are more the nuisance. There are definitely other spiders around that will fuck you up but ya prolly more likely to get bit by a snake. But I've never been bit by either 🤷♂ Can't be all that bad.
