I was thinking about rocket stoves and biomass briquettes and wondering why no-one ever seemed to make more than a few at a time. So I've just spent an hour or so figuring out how to multiply the press and get the briquettes to come out without having to turn everything, and came up with.....
Your design. Almost exactly. Right down to the removable base and tray to catch them. The only difference is the shape of the briquettes and extra drainage holes.
Good to know I'm on the right track! Your videos are genuinely inspiring.

@@Mladen365 It really makes me pause for thought. All I have to do is push a button on my thermostat and I either get warmer or cooler. Sometimes it is so easy to take things for granted. I would love to have a stove where I could burn that type of product to heat my home.

Why not make them the same height but longer and make fewer of them with the same press? It seems to me loading a stove would go much faster then. Thanks for the good ideas and sharing.

When I saw 25 briquettes in one minute I didn't expect 8 minutes, however this is brilliant! I do wonder why the moulds weren't perforated on the sides for drainage. I imagine this would make it unnecessary to flip the entire machine over to drain but then again I can see how perforating the entire mould might just compromise it's structure, even though I find that somewhat unlikely...

  • @akshaybiopharm

You could automate it better, it seems too labor intensive to be of any commercial value. What is in your slurry? a more efficient way of using waste wood in such a composite matrix is to to turn into charcoal first and mix it to your slurry. An assembly line type of set up on rollers with an electric powered press in the 50 ton range would give you faster drying time as well. How do you prepare your slurry, do you use a cement mixer?

Why don't you build a catch basin to reclaim your water to eliminate mess and water consumption. You could build a pan out of light flashing or use a condensation pan for air conditioning units installed in attics. I truly like your design and commend your work. Just an idea that I haven't seen anyone else doing. Even a cupped piece of tin angled to one side would act as a funnel to direct water into a bucket.
