Meanwhile Bane is handing out military-grade armaments like candy to the whole of Gotham, hoping to do another Knightfall.
It’s called The Long Halloween for a reason…
*Meanwhile in Gotham City*
Thug: "Hey Marty, did you enjoy the purge"
Marty: THERE WAS A PURGE!
Batman: "You all got your-...Where did Jason go?"
Nightwing: "Said he had something to sort out."
Batman: *"Oh no.🤦♂️"*
I knew Jason would enjoy that job.
@nicolestimothy9921 the question is
Would he have enough ammo?
@@ericcartman9070 Its Jason, he knows how to improvise the situation.
He’s just going for a walk… A very enthusiastic walk.
Batman: *Breaks into the NFF's meeting hall while the Bat-Family seal any possible exit and the Justice League deal with their guards* Ladies... gentlemen... you have eaten well. You have eaten this country's wealth, its security, its sense of safety. As of now... your feast is at an end. As of now... none of you are safe from us.
NFF: *"It's not us you have to worry about, not on purge night."*
@@w1ndgeneral226 Batman: *_smiling_* Amanda Waller already took care of that, actually. *_Along with Red Hood and The Suicide Squad._*
@thegameknight8916 Surprisingly, I can definitely see Amanda and Batman working together to stop this. She's all about doing what's best for the country even if she has to dirty her hands with blood. But this is definitely not something she would be on board with.
Actually unless it is Election Year (as in the same point as the Election Year movie) going after the NFF would be one of the few criminal acts
Batman beyond: Yeah and we got it all recorded live and now you dregs get to wish your dead.
The old guys: ahhhhhhh!!!!!
Honestly The Purge would be such an interesting concept for a one-off batman comic. Especially if it focused on citizens ganging up to try and take over Arkham and kill Batman's rouge gallery for revenge.
I also think as goofy as it is, a Batman x Saw would also be cool to see. Imagine Jigsaw taking over the asylum to make the rogues play a massive game.
That'd be interesting, maybe a old storyline in his early years where the corrupt GCPD and Mayor rally a mob against Arkham Asylum.
The most real speech he's ever given, and necessary.
Batman has given a great speech for this entire video.
When does he not?
Joker: “As fun as it is to see people be like me, even I know better than to stick around when morality is taking a night off.”
Nah, the Joker would totally had a plan to make the purge last forever
@@user-unos111 I question if that is true because Joker runs on the disruption of law & order, to create chaos. But what about when there is nothing but chaos and lawlessness? What happens when everyone is just like him?
Or worse? What happens when all those he has taken loved ones from are suddenly free to take vengeance on him?
@
Who says he will be alone or that he will be exposed to direct harm?
I imagine his fans (He canonically has lots in universe) will take over the streets in a wave of anarchy and Joker himself will don a disguise as just another looter. And, in a twist, he will NOT be dressed as a clown.
@@user-unos111 You do realize that there are a lot of people who would love to kill the Joker, right? He's killed a lot of people.
@@user-unos111 The Joker has been proven to show narcissistic tendencies. No way he is going to let anyone steal his thunder of burning Gotham City to the ground through chaos and lawlessness. If anyone is going to do it, it's going to be him and him alone.
The Joker and Scarecrow would absolutely LOVE the Purge. I can imagine a situation where he’s locked in Arkham and more bummed about the fact he can’t joined to mess with Batman
I think it will be a mixed bag for the joker he loves it and fears it, loves it cause it fits his style to a capital T and madness all having one bad day, but also his usual victims now can fight back legally without fear of it, meaning he will be hunted, maybe it'll unlock a new kink, the one day were joker is the one in the run.
@@demian_csomic_winters9484 The same will be true for the Scarecrow. Sure, he would love to see people running in fear because of the Purge, but even with his fear toxin there will be those who will want to see him put down like the monster he is. He may be obsessed with fear, but even he can feel it himself. The idea of so many of his victims wanting to exact revenge on him for making them go through their greatest fears to the point where they literally get scared to death would probably be frightening to him.
I honestly don't think Joker would necessarily like the purge. He likes chaos, but it's almost always on his terms. Chaos where he's a target and there's no joke? I dont think he'd be too thrilled. I could even see him fighting purgers
@korbit8307 he's the joke of purge
I think the Joker would probably see the purge as confirmation that he was right and Batman was wrong. Given the chance, with no consequences and "those good people.....theyll eat each other.
I mean, during the Batman Arkham series wasn't one particular game where they actually separated the criminals into an entire city section, If you really think about it, everything that went on over in that section was basically the purge.
Arkham city is what you are thinking. The game is loosely based on the comic no man's land.
Now I could be wrong since it has been a long time since I've read the comics. But in the comic no man's land Gotham is completely abandoned by the US and Congress had order a total quarantine of the city due to crime being so high and the city's inability to properly deal with its villains. Namely Joker. No one was allowed in or out and should any indication of a breach no matter how small every Nuclear weapon was to be used to vaporize the city into oblivion. At first all of Batman's villains loved it but grew bored since there was no consequence for their actions other than the Bat Family and the few remaining officers of the GCPD.
The idea was to have Gotham's villains to stir enough chaos to justify the city's destruction. But it backfired as the villains started to get bored of chaos and started to carve up the city as warlords. I can't remember but Strange who was involved with the plan decided to launch a scud missile into the city that was loaded with modified fear toxin to motivate the citizens to cause the chaos needed to launch the nuke. Ivy died during the events as she used her plants to absorb the toxin while protecting a group of orphans.
So instead of targets or specific persons or entities, contingency plans for situations puts an interesting spin on things. Batman has tackled alien invasions, hostile takeovers, and uprisings of various kinds. But this pulls a very interesting spin on what he needs to prepare. Situations like Racoon City, judgement day, etc., force everyone to look at the bigger pictures
There was a terminator cross over animation. Batman and Connor didn't get along but Batman was able solo Skynet with a barly functional bat mobile
I don’t think it’s really a contingency plan at this point.
There is aditional problem with the Purge: It is completely legal.
@@zomfragger Wait Really? HOW?!
DC needs to do a crossover where The Purge comes to Gotham.. That could be an epic comic..
Agreed.
Arkham series
That would be awesome. 👍
What about a Multiversal Purge?
That’s real chaos there!
I agree
I know this much, the Justice League Dark would TRAUMATIZE any purgers with whatever the did to stop them.
Constantine would give them a look at what eternal damnation awaits.
Fate would show their karma if they act as monsters.
Blood would break them with horrific stories of his own actions.
Zatanna would put them in nightmares.
Swamp Thing would bind them for attempting to harm the Green.
Deadman would posess them like musical chairs abd destory any trust.
I could even imagine Constantine dropping grrat one liners too.
Not to mention Flash.
One minute, you're robbing a joint, the next, you're in a jail cell.
@@memes_the_dna_of_the_soul5487 The Flash Family is honestly the best equipped to handle an event like The Purge, so Central City and/or Keystone city will probably be safe.

"New York City has also been split into sections by rotating Avengers, clearing the streets and -- too often -- buildings of Purgers while doing what they can for bystanders and the injured. Captain America is targeting the afore-mentioned kill squads, and is being accompanied by the Punisher, which is mildly surprising. Martian Manhunter has been handling communications via telepathy between our respective teams, and reports that the Captain is already assembling a task force that will head straight to Washington, D.C. once the situation is tenable. If the Purge here can be brought down to a point that I can trust Nightwing and the others to maintain equilibrium, I want in."
But how would Batman stop the Founding Fathers? Yes, they're villains, but they operate within the confines of the law, one that they help push. They can't be touched, like the Court of Owls.

Rick Sanchez might have a few ideas: ruclips.net/video/5FK_DIO2h5w/видео.html
As long as there's no killing, Batsy has no qualms.
Batman doesn’t need to do anything other than look the other way as Jason decides to take care of business.
The purge is just Monday in Gotham
Well done, Joker. You've turned Jason into someone who's going to enjoy the Purge to the fullest. And he'll start with you.
Over in the background, Injustice Superman floats in the air as the purge goes on. A person spots him and begs for his help. And he says, of course.
And then he steps aside, allowing a Regime goon to gun down the civilian and blaming it on the Purge, then goes on to dismantle the NFF and establish his Regime.
It’s the perfect excuse to establish a legitimate dictatorship, especially considering the Regime was never officially canonized as a government but was merely a brutal peacekeeping force (maybe I’m wrong)
@@marcushojunyong here's a better idea the civilian gets saved by Superman and Superman still takes down the new founding fathers government legitimately since it would be completely legitimate what he's going to do to take them down

This was not something I thought I needed filled on my bingo card for this channel; but I am glad it’s been filled regardless.
Now I have three ways to get a bingo: Either my suggestion about The Lamb from Cult of the Lamb is taken into a video (reacts or contingency), a contingency plan video for Bowser is made, or Batman Reacts to Starforce Mega Man.
(Please respect these suggestions.)
Somehow I’m surprised you don’t know Bowser’s already done…

Might as well,
And not to pry, but who shall it be instead?
I’d like to see Batman react to Star Force Mega Man. Seeing a withdrawn kid rise up and become an incredible hero fighting galactic level threats and learning the value of friendship sounds like a great way to boost the Dark Knight’s morale.
I love these types of videos. They are so informative. Thank you for them.
Lobo and The Phantasm looked about Gotham as The Purge ensued, and fir once, The Main Man was legitimately horrified.
Even if he did enjoy it somewhat, even he couldn't help but see just how vile The New Founding Fathers were, and something about this madness... It actually _sickened_ him to the core.
The Phantasm also felt repulsed, seeing just how mad Gotham was becoming under The Purge.
How many vile crimes aside from murder were going on? How many hate crimes, assaults... And other *_heinous_* crimes?
But she could *_see_* the horror in The Last Czarnian, the expression and his eyes looking both horrified _and_ *_disgusted_* as he began to contemplate something.
"Yeah, frag this." Lobo said with a scornful tone...
*_And brought out the ONE thing that can bring another Lobo from the interdimensional prison the other Lobo's were in._*
"This freaking Purge thing has *_GOT_* to end." He muttered to himself. "And I knowbone Main Man with the ethics and _balls_ to do the job."
I don’t think Lobo would really care enough about politics to have much of an opinion on the Purge itself. It’s not out of the question that he might be horrified by something someone does _during_ the Purge, but if he had that sort of reaction to something, I think he’d act on it himself regardless of whether or not there were police who could take care of it himself.
@spongeintheshoe This is an interpretation that has more standards than the others.
Lobo likes anarchy and chaos when it’s on his own terms and there’s an opposing force of “law and order” in his why. With the purge, there’s nothing stopping him which I imagine is what makes him disinterested with the purge.
If something like the Purge happened IRL you bet a lot of people would oppose it. I would be one of them. Great video.
A lot of people would but would it be enough people?
I don't know about that. Some people these days prefer results over morals. I hate to admit it, but some of us might be open to TNFF's goals.
It would never happen because most people would use it at a chance to download illegal software, pirate media and generally steal from corporations. Burning down a neighbourhood can be overlooked but stealing a company's profits? No way
It probably woudln't even last oner or two times before the government ends up on the recieving end of it by some well-armed 'first-time purgers'.
It would get rolled back immediately after that.
The mere concept of the purge would always backfire due to its highly self-destructive nature. Yeah, many would oppose it, and others not. But those that don't either would no longer be around or come.
honestly, a elseworlds crossover series between the Purge and DC and Marvel would be epic.
If that ever happens (specifically DC x The Purge), I want only one thing: a single shot panel of the Joker elsewhere or at home, drinking a piña colada and wearing his Hawai’i best, muttering “F-ing amateurs” while a pile of government-sanctioned Purge hitmen are at his feet

Another thing they didn't mention, is that Hospitals are close down, doctor's and paramedics arent available or won't help, meaning if someone's hurt or wounded, tough luck buddy.
Joker and many villain's will be on the run, cause the mob will try to hunt them down and killed them.
Funny to see Joker and villain's in Arkham prision doors begging them to let them in for protection.
Unfortunately...Batman will remember the Joker words...
"When the Chip's are down...this so called civilized peoples... they'll eat each others"
With heavy pain in his heart, Batman will think the Joker might have been right.
As much as I'm sure he'd really just REVEL in it, I love the idea that Joker might have to actually RUN AND HIDE during The Purge just because of the sheer amount of people that would be after him.

I ain't shocked that Joker would be on the run during purge night, a plethora of people sitting and stewing over the loss of their friends and loved ones and they have a free for all day on the Joker with no consequences. They'll rip him apart, even Joker in his supposed insanity knows when a kettle will blow.
While ironically, it means Joker gets what he wants, for society to turn feral and prove true justice wrong, it also means that his last act won't be by facing the Batman in a grand finale.

Purges on Infinite Worlds.
Theoretically, he COULD hire Deathstroke. Deathstroke isn't a villain in the conventional sense as he is morally ambiguous, so Batman could hire Deathstroke just for a night.
No doubt this is probably one of Batman’s worst nightmares. He runs himself ragged handling Gotham City. Something like this could easily overwhelm him even with proper backup.

@@w1ndgeneral226 I'm more talking about the deaths of innocents during the actual event. It's hard to believe that those two would have their hands full dealing with the lawlessness. @@TheSkullkid16
Ok, but they'd be doing that across the US at least 20 or 40 times just to make sure not a single person is killed. They can't save everyone.
The idea of the purge was so obviously ludicrous that I just couldn't suspend enough disbelief to be able to enjoy these movies.
You'd be surprised how many people justify blind violence and dumb politics these days. Who knows, maybe it's based off a theory that at some point in the future, common sense and morals aren't valued by human beings anymore, making them more accepting of rash, harsh, and even cruel ideas.
The first one was Good
The purge in the DC universe would basically be similar to the Batman Arkham Knight game (Gotham being a lawless evacuated area with thugs and villains parading the streets where Batman stopped all of it in a single night) but on a much larger scale since it effects like, all American nations I believe? So Metropolis, Central City and all those places would explode in violence and paranoia that would affect both heroes and villains in unique way like Joker being on the run for example.
This is an interesting idea.

As if things in Gotham City couldn’t get any worse.
Batman needs magical users on his side on this night like Constantine and Etrigan, maybe if the citizens of Gotham knew that eternal Hell awaits them if they do bad things they'll reconsider their actions. Obviously there will still be people who would do those bad things no matter what even if it means going to Hell, but I'm sure the idea of going to Hell would stop a lot of people.
Served as a great warning and necessary one as well. Probably why he had to leave out all the heavy hitters besides Superman- the Flash family of speedsters and the last time I was actively reading Earth had SIX Green Lanterns.
Most people don't know this, or if they do, they probably forgotten, but the word Government can be divided into two parts: Govern, meaning to control, usurp, or to proclaim, and the suffix *ment* which means 'of the mind."

Without letting Joker win the war on the soul.
Rrrrrrinse.and repeat
Yeah, we already saw how well killing Joker worked out when Superman did it in Injustice.
As much as we'd like to think so, simply killing killers isn't an easy fix.
@MetroXLR-99 there's also an alternative injustice timeline where batman kills the joker to stop superman from going insane. And then he submits himself to prison and serves his time for killing joker. Superman walks through the prison visitation barrier and offered to let him free. And Bruce decided to stay in prison to serve his time. So no, it's been shown that people have killed him and I didn't have world changing consequences. I'm pretty sure Bruce got a shorter sentence because it was joker.
@Namelessstew The validity of that is questionable, as it was literally a dream sequence and not an actual alternate timeline.
It was what Superman thought would've happened, not what would've happened.
Point being that Batman is a hero BECAUSE he won't lower himself to murder like most people would, even if it's against someone like Joker who deserves it.
If Batman started killing his enemies, then he wouldn't be Batman anymore: he'd just be The Punisher in a Halloween Costume.
So, sorry. But I will die on the "Batman Doesn't Kill" hill, and nothing that Zach Snyder says will sway me.

The only thing is: As an event within the DC Universe proper, this would be just like what Maxwell Lord did with corrupting Brother Eye or Waller recently did with the power-theft. I think this and other similar subjects would be better served placing them in an AU that Batman has become aware of and, like The Purge in-universe, fears it spreading somehow, and makes plans for that. He even considers an excursion to the other world. The DCU and Gotham in particular have seen too many of these events for this to be quite the threat it is in a non-supers world. Don't get me wrong: These are all to a one enjoyable and well-thought out. But I personally think it might be best as just a contingency rather than a reaction.

Let's be honest, Batman would make an exception in the Bat Family's no-kill policy on the NFF. Plus, his Rogues Gallery isn't bad enough to allow something like this to happen. At least most of them would rather keep Gotham intact enough for them to rule it.
A DC x Purge crossover is never something I realized I needed so badly.
You would think the Joker would love PURGE NIGHT. And you'd think he'd want it to be EVERY NIGHT
With purge in Gotham, and every other part of the world where all heroes are trying to stop it, it’s like Arkham city all over again. Is Batman needs back up? Not just the bat family or any other justice league member there’s always the lantern corps, many green lanterns that could help back up not just the Batman or the bat family but every other hero around the world, dealing with the purge.
It’s kind of dark Holiday with power of the seven deadly enemies of man or calendar man. We find this the most best day of them all of the holidays that he’s ever celebrated. Batman’s next contingency plan should be about The alternate universe version of Ben 10 and his chaotictrix contingency plan code: corrupt.
Batman can also ask help from other heroes throughout the multi-verse that he has done contingency plans of.
Imagine if this happens in Los Angeles on Earth-666.
Lucifer would turn Lux into a safe haven for people as that's what Chloe, Dan, Ella and Linda would want. It also ensures children like Trixie remain unharmed.

I dont think their would be much of a purge in metropolis. I think alot of people would be too terrified seeing as all laws are suspended and killing is legal because if they can do it Superman could to( not that he would). I guess that it could be similar to the "No man's Land" arc, in that Gotham city was devastated for an earthquake, and the USA govermented decreed this city, No man's land, and Gotham was isolated from the nation, leading to massives waves of crimes.
Depends on Batman. Kingdom Come Batman has an army of robots capable of handling any situation. Dark Knight Returns Batman even faced a similar threat when that Soviet nuke detonated and it caused a widespread blackout. The only thing that kept Gotham from imploding was his vigilante army maintaining order.
Batman could survive the purge, and beat the killer's, since the killer's of/from the purge are normal people/citizens turned into armed criminals for a night, Who don't have any real combat skills, (let alone Batman level combat skills.)
Well survive, definitely, but stopping it is another story. The purge is an American law, meaning the US turns into Gotham, and Gotham itself gets even worse with everyone no longer bound by laws on the night.
Imagine a dc or a marvel purge crossover where the hero are forced to watch their villain purging,
