I don't know how I had originally gotten onto your videos. but when I saw that you were covering Smash Bros. I knew I had to look for a Game & Watch video.
GW is my absolute favourite character, and I was very glad he was returning to Smash Bros. I hope he does again for the new Smash bros. if/when they decide to make it for the Switch.
Most times I see people just make fun of him, but really he has such a rich history, and I think you cover it all very well. i appreciate it, and definitely plan to check out more of your vids due to this.

Actually Duck Hunt is TECHNICALLY the oldest fighter, it was a toy Nintendo made before they did games, the toy used projected technology to have the player shoot ducks on the walls of your own home...the NES/Famicon version is based off that toy. I guess you could argue that the dog, who let's face it, is pretty much the main fighter of Duck Hunt, didn't appear until the game version. but still

Don't wanna be nitpicky, but you forgot a few things about the Flat Zones:
1. The bottom guy from Oil Panic appears on Flat Zone 1, dropping oil on the Stage.
2. The alarm thing is also part of Flat Zone 2, as a character with a bell appears to tell you that the Stage is going to change forms.
3. The Scuba Diver from Octopus appears on the Fire part of Flat Zone 2... for some reason.
If you pause and zoom out on the Flat Zone Two stage, you can see hte g&w console itself

have you ever heard of a thing called "game mode?" it's a setting on most newer tvs. i use it for melee and i only have a 1 frame input delay (i timed it)
most newer tvs can't use older consoles like the GameCube.

One very small detail I don't believe you mentioned is that mr. G&W's swimming and splashing before drowning animations are almost identical to the animations of the people swimming away from the sharks in Parachute.

The little Jr. Game and Watches jumping off the building were not idiots, Alex; quite the opposite, in fact. The game is called "Fire", and it's at least somewhat clear from that alone that the hotel building they're all jumping off of is on fire. If a building is on fire and has no emergency exit available nearby, people are sometimes told to jump and let the fireman catch you, which is what Fire was all about. Just had to point that out.

It's kinda strange how in Smash Mr. Game & Watch just turns into the games his moveset references but maintains his normal form, but in Ultimate becomes the games, basically transforms into them, which is a nice attention to detail, it gives him more personality!
I can't wait for you to make a Know Your Moves on everyone and re-hash the ones you already done to look at the new details, the new and improved movesets! (especially Ganondorf)

Oh wow! You just got my nostalgia hitting me there. I remember as a kid in the 90s having a TV in my own bedroom that had a VCR attached to it. No extra expense to buy one. So convenient. But realistically, modern flat screen TVs are so much better than the old tube ones, even if there isn't like a Blu Ray player attached and you have to spend extra for one.

Dude, I have that TV in my room. I fucking love it, we used to put it in between the front two seats of our van so that we could watch movies on long roads trips. Having three brothers also meant a lot of Mario Kart 64 and Smash Bros. on those rides once we got another plug adapter for the van.

Mr. Game & Watch is a cool dude. I remember seeing him in Game & Watch Gallery 3's classic games before playing Melee.
While Mr. Game & Watch has never been my main in any game, he is one of my favorites between Melee and Smash 4. I love how the latter game made his movements more akin to his choppy style.
