Oh ! how beautiful Sarabande it is ! so so so juicy, broken chord is veryveryvery melodious, and breathing phrase is so natural. I was moved so much. She played just as talking about good old remembrance.
I love the Saraband. It’s one of those deepest and introspective statements of Bach that this violinist can just visit and bring it out to light and leave every one in the room mystified and on a suspended reality mode
I like how the laugh disappears on the violinists face on the right as soon as she starts playing, one tone from Hilary and it fades out of admiration.
Hahn plays on 2 Villaumes. One is a del Gesu copy and the other a Strad copy. Although not as pricey and prestigious as the ones they were modeled after, I would hardly characterize the sound as thin and wiry. I’m certain Hahn could have had her pick of the litter from any foundation for any $ multi million violin. My guess is she picked a second Villaume because she and likely 99.99% of all the classical viewer (listenership) adores the sound she and her instruments bring.
I love youuu Hilary HAHN.
Amazing how she could finish a string crossing on double stops with very little bow speed, and the tone is still concrete and resonant.
A stunning comment.
that’s why there will be good violonists and legends
정말 훌륭한 연주입니다. 이렇게 이 곡의 아름다움을 잘 표현한 연주가 또 있을까 생각될 정도입니다.
She is quite incredible! Flawless.
This is gigantic playing - vast, grand, fluid, magnificently articulated, flawless - truly unique. Never heard before such thing.
Ocean of emotion !!
What a Genius was Bach! And Mrs.Hahn is giving the right importance to the piece! Very well played!
Hearing this is like going through an entire slumber, dreaming, and waking up well rested and refreshed
Then waking up dead !

This is so BEAUTIFUL Wondeful performance.
진심 소리가 너무 좋네요
고전적이면서도 차분한듯하면서도
잔잔한 호숫가에서 미세한 물결이 치는듯한
절제된 아름다운 소리!
This definitely deserves more likes, views & attention, its very well done.
It's stunning.
Debatable. It has way too much vibrato.
Here is a newer, much more historically informed performance of this: ruclips.net/video/k6lmRD4FgKQ/видео.html
The Angels are weeping.
ALLES DAS IST DIE GOTTES STIMME, DIE UNS HILARY HAHN VERMITTELT! UNENDLICHER DANK, HILARY HAHN!
Sehr gut Gespielt wie immer Bravo!

One would never imagine this is a dance!!!!! But who cares…….
Seems like such a shame that such a polished and technically assured performance is marred by a thin wiry tone......

It's difficult to judge the tone because of the poor audio quality, I'm pretty sure this must have sounded way better than this...
