    As a teenager, most of my friends did a lot of petty theft for beer and weed money. They were basically working a night shift going around stealing tools and loose change. I used to always say that they could hold down a full time job for the effort that they put into stealing.

      Drugs will be around as long as people want them. People who want them will do whatever to get them. Nothing has changed with people who abuse drugs, and sadly I don't think it will.
      The only people who change are the ones who choose only for themselves to stay away from, not use drugs, and not do anything to contribute to the problem.

      With barbiturates, I think his heavy hands may be warranted when nothing else is available. Those things'll kill you coming off of them. Better to just be a drunk, because that'll at least allow a grace period to back out.

    Damn, that tablet press scene at the beginning, so many violations. The FDA would have had a field day there. A C-clamp holding the vibrator screen to the tablet chute, the front panel of the press was removed exposing the inside of the machine, tablets discharging into a non-bagged fiber drum, tablet press operator without hairnet, goggles or gloves, and without a respirator, no dust collection equipped at the product hoppers or vibrator. Yes, I work in the Pharma industry.

    The taking of seconal and amphetamines for sleep and being stimulated was known as the Judy Garland syndrome as that is what the studio doctors gave her and other actors/actresses to keep them alert during long hours of filming on the sets. This went on from the 30s to late 70s that I am aware of. One famous doctor who was the doctor to the stars, was known in Hollywood as being one who often prescribed Bi-phetamine 20, aka black beauties, and barbiturates/valium so they can come down and sleep.

    • @shellwalsh3317
      @shellwalsh3317 2 года назад +1

      Biphetamine (black beauties) was the name back in the 60's/70's for today's Adderall. The name was changed due to the level of abuse/ notorious rep Biphetamine had. They came as white/black caps at 12.5mg and the shiny solid black caps at 20mg. I wish I still had all my old PDR's dating back to 78'. PDR's contain color plates of the meds to ID them with. Back then some better meds were made...until junkies ruined it for all the legitimate users. Many of todays Rx drugs have less benefits & more side effects. Back in the 40's to 70's the Barbiturates were often combined with amphetamines to "even out" being too sedated or wired.. ( research the long d/c'd meds "Dexamyl" & "Ethobral"-triple barbiturate sedative to name only 2 of the dozens of combo meds). Besides our dear Marilyn, Judy Garland & Elvis were barbiturate addicts. I've often said Seconal when used SAFELY / not every night & not to get looped is the best sleeping med on the market & has been for 87yrs.. I'm an early retired pharmacist due to MS who has terrible insomnia & Lunesta /Ambien simply don't work nearly as well.. (for me Xanax, Ativan & Valium are a sick joke for insomnia & don't make me even slightly drowsy) .With 90% of Dr's not willing to write even #10-14 Seconal a month & at $32+ a capsule their extremely hard to get here in the states...it's a shame junkies & people who fatally OD'd had to ruin it for those of us that are chronically ill.🤬

      you can blame addicts for drugs being banned over and over and over but surely if doctors and government agencies informed their population well enough the amount of accidental ODs would decrease significantly and i think it would stop many addicts from getting addicted in the first place
      how many times is there a news story about some mother who didn’t know oxys were addictive or valium or any drug
      if people were told how dangerous the drugs were in the first place how likely they are to die if they took to many all these things could reduce damages caused by drugs but instead doctors over prescribe the newest coolest drug claiming it’s safe and then people get addicted it gets banned and the cycle repeats

      Tolerance builds much faster with barbiturates than alcohol. Like alcohol, withdrawal can kill you. You just get to that place much quicker. Overdose potential is also much higher. You can make all the comparisons you like between alcohol and marijuana, but these^ drugs beat alcohol in just about every category.

      No way man! To have an opinion on the actual style of film movies to digital video of contemporary days would mean your of some intelligence and your not obsessed with other more remeidial things. Such as the topic herein this quality 50's or 60's era when porn was shot on film and all people had to have big hair pies on their genetalia. I'm more interested in these people getting tore up. Smoking "narcotic marijuana and then popping opiate medication" why? No other reason than for shits and giggles and to dull the terrible pain both mental and physical I feel daily. All the good ones are gone though. Always wanted to pop a few quaaluddes man. No more real oxy contin with the "OC" on one side and my favorite number "80" on the other. Crush that up and up the nose for some great feelings of nothing wrong even though it's so wrong. Oh so wrong but the more you take the less I care. Or "you" care as if I use these substances is like so not cool only losers smoke the narcotic marijuana psychoactive indian weed. It comes from mexico and irs all stems and seeds. Gross. Why? Its poop. It literally is caca. Why dont you just smoke a whole 5 pound bale of it? Bever get high. Pop a few 'luddes and be on the moon. Snort 2 80 mg OC's puke then try and receive felatio. That's a challenge! Ok I've dumped us down a few points on the IQ chart. Puts me at "slightly retarded and might have a cockeyed eyeball and both a penis and vagina. Definitely have had more than 5 surgeries on his rectum from forcing large objects into it and having to have the doctor extract it because it's to big. Owwie! My poor aching rectum! Not again! Surgery again! Just kill me doc! Let me stiff that huge bent pole in my anus first tho....
