The problem is that I am 64 years old, full time working in Canada, not enough time to comprehend every thing. The thrust for scientific and spiritual knowledge is choking me, while not much life is left. What should I do? Please advise.
If in any case you want to eat one or two rooti or bread, but someone (even if that someone is your ownself) forcefully want you to eat 10 rottis or bread, what will happen? You might choke on it, you might vomit it or it might cause any kind of health complication. So you would better want just one rotti or two rottis. Same is the case with mind. Take what is useful. Take is productive and meaningful. Indeed, you should have an advancement or development in your Aqal عقل, but take is useful and needed. Otherwise, things can nit and will not be in favour.

And please don’t downplay the importance of religious teachings since they’re the most powerful teachings on the planet. Why? Consider this! “Truth forever on the scaffold. Wrong forever on the throne.” This dunya is a place of tribulations. If truth was on the throne or in other words if it were plainly evident then where would be the tribulations? Tribulations are in these difficulties. This is why religious teachings empower people with understanding.
