It's John's guitar, same as always, he set up the tremelo Jeff Beck style before UL tour, I noticed it about a year ago.
if whammy bar is very thight you can hit to reproduce this 'vibrating' sound. And very probably he is using a strato with two pivots bridge, that is standard for some american models, instead of 6 points vintage style. Its not exclusive for jeff beck style. His guitar has particularly the string lock that is not common for standard stratos

i mean, flea - the greatest bass player of all time, chad - huge figure in drumming, anthony - well you hear him and you know it’s him so every band member is essential to make that rhcp sound, it’s not just about guitar.
