I've been flying a lot from and to O'Hare, and been amazed how all these aircraft and people and equipment on the ground coordinate their actions and not collide!!
It actually happened at SBRJ (Santos Dommond Airport ) - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. A taxi driver runned behind a 737 and was pushed away to the waters of the Guanabara Bay.
In Manchester (UK) they're trialing a new system to reduce runway incursions using the marker beacon recievers in airliners. After going over a holding point an aural warning can be heard.
Oh man... when you hear Bill Kurtis narrating, I assumed some sort of horrible accidents (ie the Tenerife collision) was going to be explained in gory detail...
@charlieechovictor I'm jokingly going to say that you are the reason why it is now "Line-up and Wait." I do think that it is better, and less misunderstood.
yes i found this video after one year prevously i down loaded but due mistake ilost it iam pakistan international instructor to conduct safety classes to all ground staff working on ramp area this is very bebiful for my students.
FAA needs to go talk to Mythbusters since they are trying to make almost all RC hobbycraft against regulations and laws. Idiots, land of the free while TV personalities flaunt unsafe RC use setting a bad example. Tested Fun Flight: Waypoint Navigation with Phantom 2 Vision+ Quadcopter FAA needs to focus on real hazards not promo vids.
Yukpn 50 was by far the coolest one :)
In this video you can feel the weight of all past accidents, including of course the 1977 Tenerife disaster.
Great Safety Video, this is much more highly complex than ground transportation.
Has very much the original Black Box series sound and feel to it - great production great topic
