You didn’t hot stage matt. You’re supposed to fire the RD-0105 upper stage before the main RD-108 core cuts out for ullage reasons (that is, air bubbles in the tank. if the fuel is allowed to float around, then you get air in the engine feedlines and bad things happen. This is why the lattice structure exists: so that the engine exhaust has somewhere to go when the upper stage engine is fired early. You can also get ullage with RCS or solid ullage motors, but the Soviets went “screw it” and just fired the upper stage early.

Why? Why? Why do I get up so late??? Now I have to see the video two hours later!!!
If you are asking, I'm from Italy and here we have three months of holiday from 12th June to 12th September, so I don't have to go ti school and I can enjoy Matt's videos 😁😁😁

You didn’t stage correctly because the upper engines would fire before the lower stage separates that way the space craft is always moving faster

Can you do a video on starship? I would love to recreate it in game but alot of videos I see are complicated and don't show in detail like you!!!
