I just discovered this channel and am hooked. I was married to a "Jack" Mormon (he drank beer, didn't pay his tithing, didn't go to meetings, didn't go on a mission, and married me). We moved to Utah because he had family there and it was cheaper for us. He and his (younger) brother were intelligent people. When his brother, a full-fledged Mormon, went on a mission, the whole family decided to do their endowments. My husband paid all of his back tithing so he could get his temple recommendation. After the ceremony, the two brothers came back in a state of shock. I could tell they didn't want to break the rules, but they discussed quite a bit of it in front of me. They received a lot of pressure in the following months. My brother-in-law went on his mission, and my husband shut down to me. Years later, he told me that his bishop had told him that I was Satan's helper and couldn't be trusted. It was not good for our marriage (surprise, surprise!) While living and working in Utah, I met several Mormons who didn't believe in the church but felt culturally bound to it and felt that it provided a good foundation for families and just went along with it. Nothing in these videos is new to me, but it's nice to confirm that it's exactly how I imagined it. Most mainstream religions I know have similar rituals (Catholic priests' and nuns' garments, Buddhist monks' and nuns' garments, Muslim prayer bowing, etc.) The difference I see is that the Mormon Church is so secretive about what goes on, like they invented it. You can enter a Catholic Church, visit a Muslim mosque, or go to a Buddhist monastery and participate in most of their activities as a non-member. The ones you can't participate in are still done in plain view. I still don't get how people can be so ardent about "spreading the Word" door-to-door but secretive about what it actually believes.

I agree they are from ancient days long before the mason rituals. God must have wanted Joseph Smith to go to the Masons to learn some of the ritual, and use in the Temple which is also very different to the Masonic Lodge so I believe and know from my own experience I would not attend a Masonic lodge meeting. Near the beginning: "Adam desires further light and knowledge". All the light and knowledge you need is in the Bible. You don't gain extra knowledge and light through man-made rituals.
Yes you are right about that and that’s correct and also The LDS/Mormon Temples are unbiblical and also God and Jesus doesn’t live in Temples and here’s why I say that because LDS/Mormons actually believe that The Original Temples going back to the time of Moses and up to the time of Christ on the last temple fell in 7 ad under Titus when he destroyed the place that they practiced the same thing as what The Mormons practice. Because If actually you did a little bit of research and you studied some history if you look at some archaeology you would understand that there was no Baptisms for the Dead at any Temple in Israel at any time under The Old Mosaic Laws. It was actually a place where there were sacrifices you can bring a pidgin or a dove or a duck or whatever, it was authorised under those laws to make atonement for your sin. Because there was no Baptism for the Dead and they did not seal people for eternity and no garments and no endowment ceremonies for you swore allegiance to The Mormon Church under the penalty of death if you didn’t follow through. That was all by Joseph Smith and his friends. See that comes to show you that God and Jesus does not live in Temples because In the New Testament, it's often mentioned that Jesus lives in the hearts of believers. It's a spiritual concept, signifying a close relationship with Jesus. In fact, in Ephesians 3:17, it says, "Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith." So, in a way, each believer's heart is seen as a temple for Jesus. In Acts 17:24 “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;” This right here is a powerful verse about the omnipresence of God. So see there was no need for any Christians to attend a physical temple because Christ fulfilled it all. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the need for a physical temple in Christianity. It's a fundamental part of faith that emphasizes a personal relationship with God rather than a specific location.
The veil represented separation between God and man. The torn veil when Christ died represented there would never be another man made separation of God and man..
In 1931 the temple participant swore, "we will not reveal any of the secrets of this, the first token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign or penalty. Should we do so; we agree that our throats be cut from ear to ear and our tongues torn out by their roots."
The first token, name, sign and penalty of the Aaronic priesthood, or the second, or the tokens of the Melchizedek were not the secrets. The secrets are divinely revealed to those who have these tokens and remain faithful to the covenants. I wish it were as simple as they gave me a secret, now I'll go out and hurt them by publicly divulging and mocking them. There appears to be more to this than we have the capacity to believe in here.
@@idiesel2 The Aaronic priesthood belongs exclusively to those who are from the tribe of Levi. Not even Jews from other tribes had the Aaronic priesthood. Jesus Christ and his disciples did not have the Aaronic priesthood. The people in the Book of Mormon were from the tribe of Manasseh so they did not have the Aaronic priesthood. Lehi (the Nephite/Lamanite patriarch) was of the tribe of Manasseh (Alma 10:3), thus his lineage was restricted from the Aaronic/Levitical priesthood. White represents purity. The green apron is a symbol of the fig leaves Adam and Eve put on in the Garden of Eden when they realized that they are naked. Fun fact: Mormons believe the Garden of Eden was in Jackson county, Missouri.
What beer do Mormons drink? The Hawaiian beer, 'Pale Ale'. Why should you always take more than one Mormon fishing? If you bring just one they'll drink all your beer.
This is for anyone and any Mormon who wants to know this about what Mormons believe about The Virgin Mary within what The Book of Mormon says about The Virgin Mary and about what Mormon Doctrine says about The Virgin Mary well here it is. In The Book of Mormon just like The Bible it says that Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit to make Jesus just like what The Bible says about Mary being pregnant by the Holy Spirit. But however Mormon Doctrine says otherwise The Virgin Mary within Mormonism wasn’t a virgin at all and in fact The God of Mormonism named Elohim came down to earth from the star base Kolob this time to have sex with The Virgin Mary to make The Mormon Version of Jesus. Elohim then later on takes The Virgin Mary to be his wife and she then later on got married to Joseph and he was her second husband. This right here is really a blatant contradiction within Mormonism itself and within Mormonism and within Christianity right there.
Correct…sort of. They used to say (of the hand grips), “We desire all to receive it. All arise.” and everyone in the room would do the hand grips. Now it’s only the witness couple that do it and the people in the prayer circle. Then, at the end, everyone must do them at the veil. So, everyone still does the hand grips at the veil but they no longer have everyone stand and do them during the actual session. It’s just the witness couple and they show the grips on the screen so everyone can see what they look like.
@@NewNameNoah it's my understanding that they no longer have witness couples. Is that right? If so, there's a HUGE concern with that. A covenant is lawfully defined as a contract. So in-law without witnesses there's no contract-thus no covenant, and therefore no endowment? Interesting!

@charleswhite758 I'm sure you're right. My understanding though is that the second anointing was created (um, I mean divinely revealed) much later than the endowment. Considering the endowment ceremony borrows so heavily from masonic rituals I guess I'm just curious what a ceremony with more modern origins might look like. Also isn't the second anointing much more exclusive? Surely they would have to add some new wrinkles if that one is so top secret, even by LDS standards
@charleswhite758 You might think that but in reality the majority of those connected to the church are a financial drain and never go through any of the temple ceremonies. They'll baptize just about anyone but that can be done anywhere. In order to get into the temple you need a temple recommend and getting that requires that you go through a screening process with your bishop, and also that you be in good standing with the church (up to date with payments). I'm sure they do bring in some money from tithes, especially from wealthier members, but I suspect most of their revenue at this point is from businesses and investments. So assuming only about 10% ever go through the endowment ceremony you can imagine how exclusive the club is of those who've had the second anointing
How are you getting in? Are you faking your beliefs so well that the bishop is still giving you a temple recommend? Or are you somehow forging temple recommends? When they say "You are done globally", that sounds like they are catching on to you. I am curious how you are able to do all of this. Just don't get yourself into too much trouble.
@@Richard-sc7yq They always scanned my recommend when I went; I don't think they'd changed that procedure. I know if you forgot your recommend they'd call your bishop or stake president to make sure you're temple worthy. Useful on a few road trips. Would someone have to impersonate the bishop/stake president for you to get in? I'd think they'd look up the phone number on their own to be sure the person they're trying to call is vetted. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just wouldn't know how to pull it off myself.
I stand corrected. Apparently if you prove certain lineage you can get a perpetual temple recommend that never expires, never needs renewal and never requires an interview with the the bishop or stake president.

He loves everyone and all you could ever need is with him and god and in the Bible. Jesus said you do not have to pray in public, you can if you choose to, but don’t be embarassed. But it is better to pray in private in the dark. And pray with all your might and heart. But I feel like this is of the devil, I mean just look at it, the three knocks? He borrows a recommend from members who want to expose the church. It's just a barcode. Easy to get it. He's the one inside with the camera. Hence the arrest footage at the end of the video.
Even after seeing this stuff again, and years later, I still can't get over how banal and pedestrian and extraordinarily soporific it all is. When I was a believer I belonged to an ancient Christian church with an extremely rich and beautiful liturgical tradition. Never could I have imagined that this church's most sacred rite could be replaced with a recording, so that most of what you must do to participate is sit back and watch a rather bad movie. Not that the live version is any better. It has the advantage of not being categorically absurd, but in the end it's still a bad play by actors who can't act and who, it seems, can't even remember their lines half the time. And then, what do you get from all this? A brief visit to a fancy living room that's apparently supposed to represent paradise. It's literally the most suburban vision of a heavenly reward possible.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 Living Bible 4 But the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some in the church will turn away from Christ and become eager followers of teachers with devil-inspired ideas. 2 These teachers will tell lies with straight faces and do it so often that their consciences won’t even bother them.
I've been listening to Fanny Stenhouse's ''Tell It All'': The Story of a Life's Experience in Mormonism. Back in the 19th century, she was describing this very ritual. She also had no love for Brigham Young or polygamy, to put it mildly. Fantastic book.
How truly sad, to believe that the salvation of your soul is dependent on the acts of others and performing rituals. God knows the hearts of all those who would follow Him, and His grace is sufficient. As such, all may enter His kingdom by turning from their sin and following Him, not by exchanging secret handshakes and passphrases like it's a Prohibition era speakeasy. May these people turn from their idolatry and towards God.
I know you're an activist and all, but It must have been harrowing being cuffed and taken to jail. Did they press charges? If so what charges? What was the outcome? I don't envy your experience. I'm sorry that happened to you. Before seeing your videos, I've often thought about using a spy camera on some glasses to record the endowment. I was excommunicated years ago for taking a stand. Looking back I wish I had just quietly and anonymously made recordings of the temple, to help those who are curious, or those who wish to catch an endowment session, but don't have the time, or for those who wish to study it. Now I'm working my way back, but there's a lot of distrust of me. Lol because I was so outspoken. Being outspoken might have its value, but I've learned that quiet expose is a better way to document things, then let people make up their own mind. Right? Thank you for your efforts, and for the struggles you've faced!

As a former member of the church, I fully support transparency and full disclosure but any information that is given to the public is like giving pearls to swine. It wasn’t until I had a better understanding of freemasonry and the symbolism not only involved in the ritual but a deeper understanding of scripture. From my personal observation, many criticize certain things based on their bias and prejudice rather than wanting truth and righteousness. Don’t get me wrong, many members of the church take part in a game of strategy (business related) rather than what is prudent and just. When I was going to church and the temple, nobody helped me understand the true nature of the symbols or helped me understand the relationship between the bible and natural philosophy.

God must have wanted Joseph Smith to go to the Masons to learn some of the ritual, and use in the Temple which is also very different to the Masonic Lodge so I believe and know from my own experience I would not attend a Masonic lodge meeting. I was Christian long before I joined this Church, which I believe is the true Church. It is very symbolic and has a spiritual way of learning.
Certain Masonic aspects go back to the Temple of Solomon and long before then.. Satan always creates a counterfeited to everything of God's including his priesthood. Just sayin.

Yes it did got destroyed and The Mormon Temples are so unbiblical on so many levels too.
Any group that has funny costumes, secret handshakes and rituals IS A CULT! My heart bleeds for all the kind people who are sucked in and held spiritually captive to the Mormon church.
Not as touchy-feely at the veil anymore I see...
I have actually been to the Visitor Center and seen the "hill" where the plates were found in Palmyra New York. I have never had to suppress a laugh harder in my life.
Near the beginning: "Adam desires further light and knowledge".
All the light and knowledge you need is in the Bible. You don't gain extra knowledge and light through man-made rituals.
This is so creepy! The veil was Torn when Jesus died for our sins!
In Acts 17:24
“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;”
This right here is a powerful verse about the omnipresence of God.
So see there was no need for any Christians to attend a physical temple because Christ fulfilled it all. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the need for a physical temple in Christianity. It's a fundamental part of faith that emphasizes a personal relationship with God rather than a specific location.

Not even real, genuine Jews today have the Aaronic priesthood. Christ rendered the Aaronic/Levitical priesthood obsolete, and the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 A.D. guaranteed it.

I just wish you would have stayed in the church a little longer so we could see what the second anointing looks like
@charleswhite758 I'm sure you're right.
A good impersonator, with a lying tongue, don't need a temple recommend!
@@Richard-sc7yq They always scanned my recommend when I went; I don't think they'd changed that procedure. I know if you forgot your recommend they'd call your bishop or stake president to make sure you're temple worthy. Useful on a few road trips. @@unprofessional-laser Yeah, the only way in these electronic days is to have a valid recommend, either falsified, stolen...or borrowed.
