    Yes, I've said a few videos ago. I would love an depth video explaining how Hasbro goes about their articulation. Especially the ball joints and pegs.

    I would greatly appreciate your efforts on an articulation video. Thanks for this review, as an old school Marvel comic fan I agree with you this variant is definitely too human in form. ML could have benefitted from using their Doc Ock buck to achieve the character's dumpy form. With an action figure collection dedicated to the "old school", I can say that Egghead fits well with the Leader and High Evolutionary.

    I'd love to see you tackle engineering decisions from companies and why they make the decisions that they do. Not just Hasbro's flat joints, but also Hasbro's disc hinge necks, Figuarts' hinged ball beck joints, just the stuff you've (rightfully) complained about frequently, and the likely thought processes behind them.

    Jada, Figuarts, model kits or whatever lol

    I wanted this figure but not because it’s Egghead, but because it looks like a Conehead and given that Hasbro does the Ghostbusters Plasma series you have to wonder if the person who sculpted the head wasn’t drawing inspiration from Dan Aykroyd.

    I used to want every Marvel character in figure form but now I realized I don’t want all those figures if they’re going to be mediocre at best. I’ve only been buying the ones I think are actually worth my money.

      Same here. I only buy the ones they put some effort and value into. Even then only when they're reduced in price. I got the deluxe single pack Mojo for about £13. I often add paint details to them.

    Q of the Day: Oddly enough, I did want a Marvel Legend Egghead, and this is the version I wanted as it’s the one I’m familiar with from the Silver/Bronze Age. I haven’t picked him up yet, though. This whole wave screams “Ollie’s!” so I’ll wait for the $9.99 price tag.

    Someone needs to tell Hasbro good head sculpts are not enough for the price point on these figures. Please don’t stop there, continue on to the rest of the figure and add accessories. Thank you for the review.

  • @justicemagnum5242
    @justicemagnum5242 Год назад

    Y’know, come to think of it, I gotta wonder if the reason for Hasbro going for more realistic sculpts has something to do with the criticism they received years ago by more vocal Marvel Legends fans. What I mean by that is that I recall like 10-12 years ago certain Marvel legends fans/reviewers praised toy biz legends for having “realistic sculpts/details” and heavily criticized hasbro legends for being cartoony and stylized or at least when they tried to be (on top of also not being very good). Like I remember some marvel legends collectors being hard on that Ed McGuinness Hulk they did back in the day, dubbing it “too cartoony, therefore trash”. That’s probably not the only reason they try to go for a realistic style, but part of me wonders if it’s a factor.

    • @tonileo9849
      @tonileo9849 Год назад

      Maybe it was the lack of details as in paint/wash? Im not aware of that period but considering the fact thar when Hasbro took over there was a steady decrease in paint details.

    • @justicemagnum5242
      @justicemagnum5242 Год назад

      @@tonileo9849 they did critique the figures for poor paint/sculpt/articulation (which is hilarious since they don’t do that now with modern legends even though they have the same problems). However there was a certain section of the community that wrote off things like the hulk I mentioned specifically because it was cartoony and not realistic.

    • @tonileo9849
      @tonileo9849 Год назад +1

      @@justicemagnum5242 honestly, Ed Mcguiness' cartoony art seems tailor mafe for action figures, thats what i would like from Hasbro, to try and afapt different comic stules.

    Hasbro is making much better headsculpts, but are very lazy and cheap on most bodies. This figure is solid, though I prefer the less human looking Egghead. I'm willing to pay up to $20 for it but not full price. As far as your question, i would love for you to make an articulation video.
