Nah, this isn't a cheese, I use rock sling on him and night comet and everything else and I do 1000 damage per rock sling at 60 intelligence and the guy is tanky as hell, 45k health! And this isn't a cheese, this is a legit way of beating him as a mage Glintstone nails just happens to have twice the damage of rock sling and night comet so it becomes easier

Main hand: Moonveil + 10 (you won't need this)
Off hand: Lusat's Glintstone Staff+10
Head: Divine Beast Head
Chest: Azur's Glintstone Robe
Arms: High priest gloves
Legs: Lionel's Greaves
Talismans: Marika's Soreseal, Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman, Erdtree's favour +2, Godfrey's Icon.
Flask of Wondrous Physick: Cerulean Hidden Tear, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear.
