As a kid I had a terrible stutter, I still sort of do. My speech therapist, who was an avid comics fan at the time, gave me a few issues of X-Men to read out loud at home to practice. At 7 I discovered that the X-Men were different, like me, and made me feel like I wasn't weird or funny sounding. Through those books I leaned to love myself and I have been reading them ever since. None of which couldn't have been accomplished without Stan. My heart has been very heavy since the news broke. The world has lost a great moral compass, a shinning beacon of goodness the likes of which we will not see again.
Had to make this, but I had very little time on my hands. So I got a huge cup of coffee and tried my best to create something overnight. Although it's not my best work, I put my heart into it. With this, I want to thank Stan Lee for everything he's done for us and may he Rest In Peace.

I revisit this from time to time. This man GAVE me my life. All of his creations, whether he knew it or not, gave me the best of times in my darkness. Made me, guided me and forged me into who I am. To quote Captain America, “Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky.” In this instance, Stan Lee’s creations are my Bucky. I had a broken home, and some abuse from my mother, during it all, I had this man’s imaginations to help me. Thank you. I could never thank him enough, nor give back to the world what he gave me.
