Breaking News: NBA player Dillon Brooks signs with Shanghai Sharks for the upcoming season In a surprise move, it has been reported that NBA player Dillon Brooks has signed with the Shanghai Sharks for the upcoming season. Brooks, who has been playing for the Memphis Grizzlies since 2017, will now be taking his talents to the Chinese Basketball Association. The news of Brooks' signing with the Sharks has sent shockwaves throughout the basketball world. The 25-year-old shooting guard has been a key player for the Grizzlies, averaging 17.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game last season. The Shanghai Sharks, who are owned by former NBA star Yao Ming, have been looking to bolster their roster in recent years. Brooks' signing is seen as a major coup for the team, and fans are already excited to see him in action on the court. Brooks is no stranger to international basketball, having played for the Canadian national team in the past. He will now have the opportunity to showcase his skills on a new stage, and help the Sharks compete for a CBA championship. Details of the contract have not been disclosed, but sources say that Brooks is set to earn a significant salary for his time in China. The move is also expected to raise his profile in Asia, where he is already a popular figure among basketball fans. Stay tuned for more updates on Dillon Brooks' move to the Shanghai Sharks and the upcoming CBA season.
Hes a good defensive player with bad offensive decision making that is hindering him a lot. Grizzlies will need a strong anchor to replace him for sure. Bold move
Sometimes the best thing for you is a piece of humble pie. Slight changes here and there and they will be better than ever next season as long as they remain focused and mature
Dillon Brooks really went from being the Brooks that Memphis almost traded but didn't want to in 2018 (the whole Dillon-MarShon Brooks trade confusion) to the player they don't want on their team
I just dont get it why they want follow Draymond's or Pat Bev's way of playing basketball instead following DWade's humbleness or Kobe's mentality. Bruh they always play like they already the greatest and thinks nobody can clap them.
Great player have always found a way keep head down grind and keept the focus on winning a championship and lead their team by example not only in playoff but whole year like Steph LeBron Tim duncan like never heard a scandal or controversy about them when teams leader is like ja what can expect team mates to behave Giannis is also one of them who lead by example doesn't matter they got eliminated because you know they will come back stronger next time
Tbh I disagree with cutting him outta the Memphis grizzlies and plus this was entertaining. This shows the nba is becoming soft people enjoy the drama if we are being honest so cutting him is not okay.
Hey how about the grizzlies are circus along with aftermath of morant stuff and grizzlies front office doesn’t want brooks immaturely beefing with like every team and talking excessive trash. It’s a business. He was bad for business. Simple
Easy to say Brooks is being used as a scapegoat and for very good reason. It's one thing to be confident and back it up, it's one thing to be that dude that goes out there and creates chaos and back it up, it's quite another to be those things, not back it up, not show up and then continue down the same path of destruction that impacts the team and the franchise in a very negative fashion. There's a line between confidence and idiocy and Dillon Brooks is clearly a habitual line stepper.
😂 Dillion Brooks is Rick James~ esk “Rick is a habitual like crosser” - Charlie Murphy RIP💐 Chaos for no personal or group benefit = Low Self-esteem 🤘🏾 Best of luck to Brooks hope he can learn from this experience.
The difference between Brooks and guys like Draymond or Pat Bev is they don’t duck the smoke, they’re in every post game interview and on social media still playing into the persona
A lot people think it's his mouth that caused his exit and it's only part of the problem. What really caused this was hitting LeBron in the groin which could've caused him to sit out the rest of game or miss the game after. Imagine tackling Tom Brady for no reason... this is how serious that was!
Wtf where you watching? It has EVERYTHING to with Bricks Mouth ....dude couldnt back up A SINGLE THING HE SAID...brought unwanted gate Towards the rest of the team including him.....GOOD RIDDANCE
Doesn't matter. Guys have always done that, but it doesn't matter if they make their value beyond that one play. Zsa zsa closeout on kawaii, Robert horry shoulder checking Nash, raja bell clotheslining and tackling Kobe. Only raja didn't help his case, all the others changed their series after those punk moves.
It’s disturbing how no one thinks he is being cancelled by NBA as a whole because of disrespecting 23. I dont like DB but it seemed too unfair to just cancel him because of trash talking. He is a pretty good defender, which can benefit a lot of nba teams, but sadly for him He will not be back in nba. No one will sign him.
Ja Morant will never win in this league. I promise you that. His decision making and situational awareness as a PG is lower than that of his back up. Not only that, I assure you, that at his size, with his playstyle, he will never be able to stay healthy through the physical playoffs. The way he was attacking the rim with reckless abandon even with a hurt hand just proves that. Simply moronic playstyle... No awareness, no levels to his game, just attack the rim, destroy your body. He will never win... on top of that, he's a deluded individual and i've never seen a diluded individual carry a team to an NBA championship. Takes winners, no non-sense guys. Kobe. Dirk. Steph. Duncan. Kawhi. Durant. LeBron. Giannis. All guys who take accountability and just worked, guys whos won championships since the 2010s.

And lost to the Warriors and to LeBron and in both series he played well. He's not hopeless lol he's just a super young athletic dude which is why I compared him to early giannis. So I believe when he figures out something other than athleticism he'll be a great player similar to the way giannis changed his career.

Brooks was formidable at Oregon. Morant is unstoppable. They lost Clark & Adams toward the end of the season and the Lakers made the Westbrook trade and haven't looked back. They were hitting stride while Memphis was getting hobbled. Bane is very good and Jackson is also. If they keep their squad, now they've got something to prove and they very well might.

Lol that joke is so played out
That he doesn't wanna go left clip followed by LeKing driving left and getting the and one will live rent free in my head forever
Hes a good defensive player with bad offensive decision making that is hindering him a lot. Grizzlies will need a strong anchor to replace him for sure. Bold move
Lol they were better last season when he didn't play most of the season
Huh? He has never been good defensively
Caruso?
Sometimes the best thing for you is a piece of humble pie. Slight changes here and there and they will be better than ever next season as long as they remain focused and mature
I wonder who’s gonna be that first reporter next season to ask Ja if the Grizzlies are fine in the west😂
Dillon Brooks really went from being the Brooks that Memphis almost traded but didn't want to in 2018 (the whole Dillon-MarShon Brooks trade confusion) to the player they don't want on their team
Funny how things transform.
He actually said “2” twice lol
Bro said I poke bears. Bro poked the Memphis Griz bear 😭
This aged terribly lol
I just dont get it why they want follow Draymond's or Pat Bev's way of playing basketball instead following DWade's humbleness or Kobe's mentality. Bruh they always play like they already the greatest and thinks nobody can clap them.
I think Dillon Brooks is taking a payment under the table to take all of the focus off of Ja Morant, this is actually genius.
But ja did good onna few games
As usual great video Mike !! 👏🙏🫶
Great player have always found a way keep head down grind and keept the focus on winning a championship and lead their team by example not only in playoff but whole year like Steph LeBron Tim duncan like never heard a scandal or controversy about them when teams leader is like ja what can expect team mates to behave
Giannis is also one of them who lead by example doesn't matter they got eliminated because you know they will come back stronger next time
THAT LAKER FAN SNAPPED
”WE'RE FINE IN THE WEST P#$$/!!
WE'RE FINE IN THE WEST!!” 😂😂😂
Tbh I disagree with cutting him outta the Memphis grizzlies and plus this was entertaining. This shows the nba is becoming soft people enjoy the drama if we are being honest so cutting him is not okay.
Hey how about the grizzlies are circus along with aftermath of morant stuff and grizzlies front office doesn’t want brooks immaturely beefing with like every team and talking excessive trash. It’s a business. He was bad for business. Simple
Ja: "I said it, I'll deal with it."
ngl, I can respect that.
😂 Dillion Brooks is Rick James~ esk
“Rick is a habitual like crosser” - Charlie Murphy RIP💐
Chaos for no personal or group benefit = Low Self-esteem 🤘🏾
Best of luck to Brooks hope he can learn from this experience.
Bro you need a serious stabilizer for your webcam whenever you talk in the mic the camera shakes like crazy xD Great content though keep it up :D
The difference between Brooks and guys like Draymond or Pat Bev is they don’t duck the smoke, they’re in every post game interview and on social media still playing into the persona
The fall and fall of Dillon Brooks. Dude learnt a valuable mistake in just keepin his trap shut
It's a reality check for Memphis...
And Mike, you forgot to point out how good an actor Sabonis is! This series also was a reality check for SAC...
Sabonis sucked that series
0:52 photo of Dillon has always made me chuckle.
He's 23 we said the same about giannis and it took a couple horrible playoff losses before he got one. Ja is super talented dude when he slows the game down he can definitely be one of the best
@@justinbrown2199 Who is we? Giannis is a titan and can dominate a game from end to end, DPotY and 2x MVP, just had a season only wilt can say he had 30+, 10+, 5+, 55%+ from the field, while somehow only shooting 3% lower from three than Ja..... Ja doesn't impact winning, and has a proven track record of not being able to make be healthy when it matters. Appears he is a front runner.
@@justinbrown2199 & GIannis doesn't run from smoke. Ever. He went to the presser like a man post game. Took accountability, and responsibility like a champion and leader, and restored any faith anyone had lost in him after that collapse in the final 17 minutes against Miami... No doubt Giannis will be shooting 100,000 free throws this summer working on his game. Ja Morant will probably be in the club, yeah?
@@justinbrown2199 Never watched a Giannis series against Toronto, Miami, Boston and again this time against Miami hurt and thought yeah this guy is never going to win.... Considering 3 of the 4 so far have went on to play in the finals.
@@optimalpowersimracing6625 giannis was injured this year and 2020. Ja definitely impacts winning though to a much lesser extent. He has continuously improved. And lost to the Warriors and to LeBron and in both series he played well. He's not hopeless lol he's just a super young athletic dude which is why I compared him to early giannis. So I believe when he figures out something other than athleticism he'll be a great player similar to the way giannis changed his career.
21 playoffs against Utah Jazz, Dillon Brooks was hooping he average 24ppg and played good defense. Ja Morant was cooking as well G, arrogance got to'em mentally G. As well not being humble, lesson learned from this situation. Not gonna judge them at all. We all was young and arrogant before.
Ja is so insecure waving bye to the Lakers fans like a child. Dude needs to keep his head down, engaging with haters is the last thing that dude needs right now.
how is that insecure? that seems like the opposite. acting like that needs confidence because he knows it's going to get clipped.
@@KrackerUncle confident players don’t need to engage with trolls because internally they recognize their own self-worth. Would you say Kevin Durant is confident too?
THATS LOWKEY MESSED UP..... BRON BASICALLY DID THE SAMETHING SAYING I DONT WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. HE EVEN SAT THERE AND TALKED ISH TO BROOKS BEFOER A GAME AND IT LOOKED LIKE BULLING TO ME.
I think they should, still resign him, but for maximum $5m per year and reduced role. The Roddy guy is a better player than him, better shooter, better defense, scrappy and tough. Looks like him too😂 But fr, he's a culture guy, if he can just back up his antics why not?🤷
That thumbnail is fire asf LMFAO
"Imma end this man's whole career." -- Dillon Brooks to the mirror
Stepping on Sabonis's chest was awesome. NBA meets the WWE.
Man. They did not have to do him like that 😂 I honestly feel kinda bad for him now. It was fun rooting against him but damn. Under any circumstances is cold.
This the earliest I’ve been this is lit I love ur vids Mike!!
Video starts 8:08
You're the true american hero we need
Thanks...kind of funny making such a long video just to report Dillon is out.
The grizzlies are a self proclaimed Dynasty who hasn’t even made it passed the 2nd round yet
I'm really confused as to how people thought the goldenstate where being the ones "counted out" people trying so hard to make them the underdogs
Dude really took it upon himself to reflect all negative PR from a certain teammate (who's even more immature) off towards him. And it cost him his job. Such a great teammate. That certain player better act straight now, he got no more shiel...oh wait, there's still Tyus Jones.
atleast Tyus plays somewhat well
"under any circumstances..." that's brutal ... 🤣🤣🤣
ILL BE 40 THIS YEAR.. I QUIT WATCHING NBA AFTER GROWING UP LIVING AND BREATHING THE GAME.. PLAYING AND WATCHING THRU THE 90'S EARLY 2000'S I HAD QUIT WATCHING OR EVEN KEEPING UP WITH NBA UNTIL I WAS WATVHING THE SPORTS END OF THE NEWS AND LIVING IN TN THEY WERE SHOWING THAT MEMPHIS WAS DOING GOOD SO I STARTED WATCHING AND JA HAS OFFICIALLY BROUGHT NE BACK AS A FAN. I LOVE HIS ATTACK THE RIM GAME THAT HE MIXES WITH BEAUTIFUL HANDLES AND A GREAT FLOOR AWARENESS. MORE EXPLOSIVE THAT MJ IN HIS PRIME.
“I am fine in the West”
Famous last words
Ended the video with a little rhyme, you go Mike !!!
Lebron sent him to the shangai sharks 😂😂😭😭🤣💀
He poked the bear alright, the wrong grizzly bear 😂😂😂😂
As a Memphis fan I am Glad they aren’t bringing him back. He will be lucky to play in the NBA .
Imagine he gets blackballed in free agency 😅
This man might be the first mass shooter of the NBA. He might attack Grizz locker room. Careful now.
This world is twisted in 2023 ... The END OF JA MORANT instantly switched up to The END OF DB!
Exactly
When you can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. This has been the most satisfying and hilarious moment in recent sports history hahaha
I knew this video was going to come out after Dillion brooks was quiet the whole game 6
15:33 He ain't the leader, Steven Adams is.
hey flight i love your videos
Dillon Bricks the only player in the world that everyone hates. Even his own family hates him, thats how low his life is right now
Not the Shanghai Sharks thumbnail😂😂
Lol I thought your jersey said Mike Cheeks for a second 😹
"I poke bears" will never not make me laugh🤣
I definitely don't want Dillon out of the league, maybe he can go to the Spurs or the Suns and become a better player
Lol how doesn’t he care about ball? He had a bad series and talked himself out of his own head but I hate that the grizzlies made this a public spectacle when this man gave his heart and soul to Memphis regardless of how he shot. Them choosing LeBron and the nba politics shows that the grizzlies aren’t a family organization tbh like ex miami Milwaukee
‘Mikerophone’ You rock bro!
We need that Mike Check 1 2 merch!
@theflightmike man he didn't skip 2. It was the first number he said. He was like "not 2, not3 not4 not5 not6 not7" love ur content either way
Stephen A , “I’ve known Dillion Brooks for a long time…coming out of the University of Oregon we’ve had dinner Plethora of times…”
LMFAO the sharks backdrop 🤣
