I was struggling a bit with this shadow/highlight part of illustrating - couldn't give enough depth to the car - but seeing how you do it was a big help. The gradient technique is awesome, btw. Thank you very much for these tutorials!
Thank you for sharing your expertise in using this application. Well done. Your explanation of how you apply these techniques is clear and succinct. You seem to be a very good teacher.
GRZ Pedro when I started recording my screen while drawing I had no intensions of teaching this. I only was going to do speed art time lapse videos. If a part is missing, feel free to message me and I can try to help you further. Since you only claimed I "skipped a few parts", it's hard for me to know specifically what is missing. Can you be more specific?
How long does it take you to do a car? It takes me about 3 days... start to finish. Really feeling like I take too long... people dont like paying and waiting...
It takes me anywhere from 10-12 hours depending on the amount of detail. However, I will span that out over the course of a few days. I have a full time job and can only dedicate a few hours in the evenings to draw or create videos. I've tossed around the idea of taking a day off to see if I can get one finished in one day. Like an 8 hour shift. I would love to do this full time. I can say, practice makes perfect and the more you do the faster they will become.
@@thatcarartist7322 Okay so it's normal lol I felt like I was just being slow!. How much do you charge? When I tell my customer $50 they seem to be turned away... usually I get hit I can go on fivver for less... 🙄 really hate that site now...
@@veeanon2238 i know this is from 3 months ago lol. I think alot of people probably turn away from it because there are people who will do it for less. Theres people who do it for 20$ even 10$ i guess it would really have to stand out from others to be worth the 50$ :\
jacob loesche thank you for noticing! You’re very astute. When I was drawing this car, and recording my screen, I never thought I’d make a tutorial out of the footage.
If you're using the pen tool, you can simply select your move or direct selection tool, click off the path and that will end the current path you are drawing without closing. You can also hit V or A on your keyboard to select those tools without clicking them in the toolbar.

What app are you using to make it?
I'm current'y using Adobe Illustrator on iMac - but would love to learn another app on my iPad
I don't understand how to do lines without closing the path??
