- My second video, a tribute to my favorite player and (in my opinion!) the best defensive player to play the sport.
Now that his Olympic career is likely over and retirement may loom, it seemed a fitting time to create my own collection of his greatest points.
I don't own any of the content used in the montage, thanks to all the original uploaders for getting it online.

Thanks for video. Played WTTC myself when younger. Joo my favourite player by far. I truly consider him THE best in world. Playing defensive against todays rubbers, with such incredible, consistently high level performances, AND an illness which has bugged him for years, is immense. A nice bloke also. I asked for his autograph ... his coach interrupted and kept him for a full five mins ... and Joo then looked me out, to sign the autograph, and give a photo. What a man ... what a player! S

A chop is the table tennis equivalent of drifting. Ma long forehand is tight and fast like a f1 on slicks. But Joo Sae Hyuk can glide it like a frisbee so damn consistently it's like a smooth drift.
Yes, I think that Joo is the best defensive player of the sport for the last two decades!
