Thanks Clare, glad you like my ideas. I love flicking through these books. I've got quite a collection now from having them over several Christmas's xx
I've been watching the vlogger tour and keep seeing ideas but they are things I need! I saw face wipes on Sam's video, a great bag on Tamlin's video and now I've been inspired by your peg bag idea, Karen! I need all those things but they'll be gifts to me! 😅
Lovely video Karen, I’ve made a few of the idea’s you have show. The things you showed will make lovely gifts and I especially loved the things you described as weird, but I wouldn’t class my self as normal. lol x
Lol Claire! I thought you'd like some of these things. I have made a Tilda doll in the past, but it was very early on in my sewing. I still have her though. Xx
Such a lot of fun! I’ve actually made the reading pillow with some special little people who are beginner sewists. Great project!! The handle is a good feature, too! Happy sewing!! ☺️
Gday hun. This was enchanting, loved all your ideas & inspiration 😍I have about 4 of the books you showed 😀Cannot believe we are about 5 weeks away from Chrissy day, how does a year go by soooo quickly & each year seems to go by quicker than the previous. You did make me smile about what you said if your grandma ma kept or used the makes you did for her 😀I think the Chocolate Orange cozy is super cute even with the eyes you made 🤩Thanku 'sew' much for sharing 🪡✂🧵💙XX
Hiya, thanks so much Ana 😊💗, I enjoyed filming this vlog. Now to get cracking with the makes! I know it certainly does fly by so quickly and every year I'm less prepared lol. I managed to switch the eyes to felt ones 😁 xx
Great video and ideas, Karen! I had to laugh when you were sharing some of those books as I have some of them myself. I think we have similar taste. 😊 I agree that some of the projects in Tone Finnanger's books are a little bit strange but, overall, I find her style sweet and inspiring. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your plans.
Thank you....she does have some beautiful projects, some are quite "different" but I do like the variety on offer. My favourite is definitely the sew pretty homestlye xx
Great video Karen. 😊 Lots of ideas - am feeling quite Christmassy now! I have a couple of thise books and it has made me think I need a look through again for templates etc. X
Thanks Liz, yes so many fab projects in these books. Need more time to make them lol. I'll have to bookmark what I want to make and factor them into my monthly list of plans! Xx
Love your ideas, Karen! You gave some unique and unexpected items…just up my street. 😊 I’m already making corner bookmarks and journal covers to match.
Lovely video Karen, thank you. I enjoy looking through Tone Finnager’s books for inspiration especially at this time of year. Have made a few bits but yes…i hear what you are saying 😂 She’s Norwegian btw 😉❤ I absolutely love your peg bag! Xxx
Thanks Elaine! Yes she is Norwegian isn't she, whoops lol. I love her books as well. Before I started sewing I used to flick through my mother in law's copy and it inspired me to try some of the projects out. Xx
Nice ideas! Love your peg bag. Nice resource books of ideas. I have seen some of the odd crafts for sale in shops. Not my aesthetic, but some people must enjoy it.
thanks Christine! Lol yes I have to admit I did make one doll from the books, but it was very early on in my sewing lol...not my cup of tea these days xx
I love the Tilda books and made many angels for my friends! Where is the pattern for the zip pouch, Karen? The book marks are brilliant, Ruan, the Yorkshire sew girl has done a sewalong for them.
Thanks Mary, I have made a Tilda lady in the past too, when I first started sewing. The zip pouch was made for me, but I have found there are a few free patterns here: www.applegreencottage.com/free-zipper-bag-patterns/ Thank you I shall check out Ruans tutorial 😁👍 xx

Thanks Sally! I'd love to make all the handmade gifts, but realistically that's never going to happen lol. Xx
What a fun video, Karen! Nice ideas too!
Thank you Maureen ☺️ xx
A covered jar lid in place of the wooden ring for the pin cushion saves longer line from poking through. I'm making a hot water bottle cover...for me!
I made my daughter some make up pads a few years ago, and found them unused. 'They're too pretty to use' apparently!😆
Oh that’s great, thanks for the tip!! Enjoy your hot water bottle cover 😀 xx
