There have been a number of those throughout animation history. The earliest I can recall is from Popeye when they made a cartoon. I also remember Rocko's Modern Life, The Simpsons, Tiny Toons, and Beavis & Butt-Head. I love how the animators can have that kinda fun about themselves 😛

Worst part was that none of my friends believed me when I told them about it and I never saw it come on again. 25 years later, I saw it on RUclips and was finally able to convince at least one of them that I really saw this!

I saw this episode when I was 8 years old. The line that sent me over the edge was "Do you want to pick my nose Poopy?" Nothing in my life at that point had made me laugh with tears were running down my face. And then "Peck Pelvis Pete" one upped the whole thing and I almost threw up i was laughing so hard. I know the show is probably not good for kids and stuff but to force that emotion out of me for the first time is something I cherish. God Bless Ren and Stimpy.

Oh by a margin, yes. That show was created to start something and not care about the story, at least Stimpy gave a darn even though it’s crude in nature but you can tell he poured his heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into this theatrical short.

Stop and think about this for a second Think of all the other rejected storyboards that Ren demanded Stumpy throw in the trash because they were somehow worse then what ended up in the final product On top of that it didn't even matter. Wilbur Cobb is a senile maniac who hasn't mattered to the Animation Industry in decades and is currently waiting the electric chair because of his disillusioned state of mind.
Not sure if the other stuff ren rejected was worse. He might have just not looked properly at it because je just wanted to be the big boss and yell at stimpy.

And why Ren wears his glasses) he was notorious for being a nightmare to work with and demanded animators have no to frames look alike to where he's throw out drawings if they looked too similar. However ive heard it originally was meant to be a episode poking at Nickolodeon execs which would likely be applicable to this scene specifically. The more you know!

Turns out I was wrong, it's definitely a hit at John from a disgruntled Bob Camp, and it shows every time I see it. Ren the producer clearly displays John K. the asshole.
