Had some audio issues with this one, our apologies. This was a great fitting that we wanted to share despite the sound not being up to our usual standard.
This is what a club fitting should be like. I have spent many dollars and walked away wondering if this guy is just trying to sell clubs and didn't have my interest in mine at all. I wish there was a TXG near me. Great stuff!!
Totally agree, these guys are true pros although so many people unfortunately balk at having to pay a fee to get properly fit or have a location like this to go to. In reality we should be happy to just pay for the information and clear direction from a true fitter and not waste money from just being sold what's in a store or on hand.
I play the I200s so was very interested in this video. Great job had no idea the shaft could make that much difference. So glad I found this channel in the forums on MyGolfSpy this is the info us golfers need.
You just keep getting better. What I love in the difference between the fitting sessions, (high handicap Vs Low) is the exchange and understanding of their games. What I found most interesting here is the perception your golfer, (name escapes me) had about the possible solutions to his game in reducing weight or flex. Clearly he has a strong game yet he still misdiagnosed the issue and the direction he might go. There must be golfers doing this everywhere. Attempting to guess their way to selecting flex and weight. You’ve once again emphasized the need for a good fitting and how important the right shaft can be to your game. Must watch. I’ve said it before, but you’re a must watch.
I've had so many club fittings and have walked away guessing it if they have my best intrest in mind. I'm from Kent, UK and have been seriously thinking of coming to Canada just for a fitting with you guys. You are whats needed in the UK. please carry on making vids. Ryan
One thing that I love about the results of the fittings I've watched--which is pretty much all of them by now--is that most every golfer comes away with some combination that they would have never envisioned on their own. Love it. Looking forward to seeing you in June!
Switched to graphite shafts for this season, and my dispersion was wild. Went back to steel shaft and I can now shoot at the pin. Dropped 5 off my score.
Best golf channel on RUclips guys!! I'm a data/geeky golf dude and your content is spot on! I've always been a believer in proper fitting, and watching you guys go through the process is satisfying to me, but I would hope is equally as eye-opening to the many out there who are in ill-fitted equipment!! Keep it coming!
Great video! Having a golf fit can be a real eye opener. I got fitted for i200's with px lz 6.0 at a Ping fitting day. My old set were close to a senior flex.
Pretty crazy. I ordered a combo set of these clubs 5 days ago and here you made a video today about them. 7-pw in iblades and 5 and 6 in i200. Can’t wait for them to come in!
Great video guys, really helped me think about whats going on with my miss. great as a left hander watching leftys for a change with Matt and Paul. keep up the good work
Another outstanding Vid Gents and so so interesting to see how much improvement you can achieve even in Paul`s excellent game. I am so looking forward to having my fitting with you Guys in July, counting down the days!!!!!!!!
I have a set of AP2’s coming with PX 6.5’s in them, 6 iron swing speed is 93-94 and I already play 6.5 in my driver and woods so I can’t wait to get this iron set into play. They are replacing my 2 year old Ping ie1 that I’ve been playing with PX 6.0s but spin like crazy as per Trackman.
Hey guys, another awesome video. I'll be at your facilities the weekend may 18th for a full bag fitting. I'm a 10 hndcp so if you to do a videos series for mid hndcp, I'm all in! See you soon.
I just started watching your videos. Liked and love the information you put out. I subscribed after the first video👍. I watch a lot of swing videos to try improve my game. But it’s great that you show that the equipment and fittings makes a huge difference. Now I blame my clubs not my swing for miss fairways and greens 😂 LOL. Would like find a great club fitter like you guys here in Hawaii. Keep the awesome club fitting and information videos coming!
I noticed that Paul was less offline with the iBlades. At which point do you recommend distance over accuracy, especially for irons? Personally, I would take accuracy over a 5-yd increase.
I was wondering when we were going to see a bicept flex, haha. Very interesting when you mentioned not to let distance dictate shaft flex, guessing that works both way? Another great video guys keep them coming so much great information.
Great video guys. Appreciated the education on droop, how it impacts shot results and how to address with the shaft selection. Is there a way to counter the offset without recasting the club?
Really interesting video guys your making me wonder if I have the right equipment in my bag. It’s crazy how what you think is good for your game might not be the best fit
I thought the extended winter was annoying and that the golf cart is getting some upgrades without TXG decals on the list, still waiting, #nascarcar me. #swagmycart Trip to TXG on the bucket list keeps moving up spots with every video. 👍
Great video as always. The i200’s would be a go too if I didn’t get fit for Mizuno JPX 900 Forged irons last March. By the time I’m ready for a new set, the i200’s will unfortunately be outdated.
TXG Tour Experience Golf thanks, they sure! Love the feel and forgiveness. I’ve seen a video review comparing it to the Ping i200, and it was very hard to feel any difference in “feel” even though the i200’s are cast. Interesting to see what your take is comparing feel & forgiveness between the 2 clubs ?
How do you make the decision on which irons switches from the more bladed iron to the cavity back? In this instance, what tells you to start the cavity back at the 7 iron up vs 6 iron and up or vice versa, etc. ?
Have you guys done any testing on single length irons? I’ve been playing Tom Wishons Sterling single length irons for the last two years and have really loved them. I’d be interested in coming in for a loft/lie/shaft fitting if you have any experience with the single length concept.
Don't currently fit for one-length sets at TXG, haven't seen the performance benefit to it in our testing. Not to say it won't work for anyone, as certainly there are golfers like yourself that seem to play better with that type of set.
oh man, another unbelievable video guys. Great stuff. Didn't imagine that much more stiffness in a lighter shaft could help. Even I have not been aware of this special specs of the PJX 6.5 (stiffer and lighter). Ian you are a magician. Got just two questions: 1.) Did you keep the lie angle? 2.) What different iron would you have chosen, if he has not been under contract with Ping to achieve a little more explosiveness? Thanx
what im curious about is what options for a fitter are available for someone who hits the ball too high. im around a 15 hcp. I have a pretty high swing speed but even on soft shots I still sky the ball with my irons. I switch from a more players iron to a GI iron because I don't have as much time to play any more. when I got fitted they were great but over the last 2 years of natural swing changes I have put a lot of height in my ball flight costing me about a club of distance. I love the videos keep up the good work :)
Lowering loft would be a great place to start Daniel! From there you can also make some improvements to ball flight through a stiffer profile shaft, and/or an iron head design with a higher CG.
by the way: the i Blade 6 iron has a Loft of 30.5 and the i 200 6 iron a Loft of 29.5. Ian answered when you asked him, they have the same loft... Did he bent the loft to achieve the same loft😊?
Great content as always guys. If he is hitting his i200 7 iron longer now, have you delighted his iblade 8 iron to close the gap? Same with his 9 iron a little? Combo set can have this issue and it puts me off them personally.
Crazy video as both you lefties have surprisingly similar swings and tempo. Why not x100 or ctaper? Where you trying to get away from the heavier weight to increase ball speed? Keep up the good work fellas
Hi TXG, Not discounting iron fittings but doesn't it really come to play-style at the end of the day? For example I play DG X-7's mainly because I know the ball is not gonna move more than 3 yards left or right, will stay low in the wind, and the weight (most important factor). Sure I could play Project X that have that nice high piercing ball flight but that leads to my initial point that iron fittings are really just a player's preference at the end of the day. This could totally be a low handicap thing because I feel like most pros play the same iron shaft their whole career aside. Michael
I have Driver question. Can you give me your quick opinion on the difference between the 2 Driver/shaft combinations I currently have. Are the 2 heads similar or opposite? Are shafts similar or opposite? My older Driver is Callaway Epic 10.5° with UST Mamiya Elements Chrome 6f4t. My new Driver is Ping G400 Max 10.5° playing it +1 loft with Accra 2.0 260 M4. Callaway was fit 2 years ago. Ping was fit about a month ago. They feel very different and just trying to see what type of player would utilize each one better? Thank you Your videos are fantastic. Also, Callaway is set at Draw setting on hosel and sole weight.
TXG Tour Experience Golf would the forgiveness and higher lunch of the Ping vs Epic be noticeable at the same 10.5° lofts? I’m wondering if I need to go to the +1° with the Ping or stay at 10.5°.
Hello Gentlemen, I didn't see a specific place for equipment questions, so I was hoping you would indulge me and wouldn't mind me asking it in this forum. The Situation: I have been playing the Golf Pride VDR's in midsize for the past few years and have loved them. I have had a painful nerves condition called fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome for almost 15 years now, and I felt the soft (but not TOO soft) grips gave me a bit more dampening from the occassional thin hit (irons are MP-60's with the old but functional R300 shafts), and the slightly bigger diameter of grip was easier on my sore hands. I'm a solid 8-handicap at 54 years of age now, but its getting more and more difficult each season. I can't fully explain to you how my body feels 85% of the time other than if you can imagine your worst toothache, then reproduce that misery through all your major joints, hinges, spine, large and small muscle groups, you'd be very close. I'm sore if I stay still, and it's only worse the days after I get to do some range work (just light stuff, nothing over 100 balls and 235 yards. But I'm not one to quit that easily. Just ask my wife and 4 beautiful daughters. Sorry, anyway, my question is, what can you recommend for me In the way of replacements, as the VDR's are going the way of the Dodo bird? I love Golf Pride, but I'm not a fan of the newer Golf Pride half cord, half rubber models. I think those grips with the alignment sticks in them are silIy. I would recommend the CP2's , have similar issues, diagnosed with RA recently. Changed over to the CP2 midsize on my Driver, woods and rescue last year. found them much nicer on the hands, but to chunky on the irons, so went for standard size with 2 layers of tape, love them.
Also, I only just had my first ever club fitting, was playing MP 58 with R300 shafts, have had them re shafted with Nippon NS Pro zelous 8. Very early days, just picked them up Friday, but they feel much easier to swing and my distance was pretty consistent on the monitor.
Had some audio issues with this one, our apologies. This was a great fitting that we wanted to share despite the sound not being up to our usual standard.
you're good

Thanks Eddie!!
I've had so many club fittings and have walked away guessing it if they have my best intrest in mind. I'm from Kent, UK and have been seriously thinking of coming to Canada just for a fitting with you guys. You are whats needed in the UK. please carry on making vids. Ryan

Very similar situation - less time to play but low 90s ish swing speed. I've been debating combo for a while. A great watch.
Thanks again for another outstanding episode. Ian and Matt, you guys are geniuses.
Pretty crazy. I ordered a combo set of these clubs 5 days ago and here you made a video today about them. 7-pw in iblades and 5 and 6 in i200. Can’t wait for them to come in!
Each video better than the last. Thanks again gents.
Amazing what you guys change with shaft and club modifications!!
Gosh I miss the old orchestra intro we need to bring that back!
good stuff guys! Almost would book a golf trip to the area, just to go through a fitting!
Absolutely love all of the content from TXG. I definitely want to book a trip to Toronto to get a fitting from Ian.
Can’t wait for the putting videos!!!! Man I wish I could get up there for a bag fitting. Thanks guys for the content.
Can’t wait for the putting videos!
Excellent as always guys. Don't forget to tell us what club they're hitting at the beginning!
Love to see the master at work. #Ian
Great video guys, really helped me think about whats going on with my miss. great as a left hander watching leftys for a change with Matt and Paul. keep up the good work

Sunday morning in UK coffee and txg........perfect😁
Great session. Really gives you food for thought on my own ball flight.
Great stuff...feels like your a doing some magic! Amazing insights. Thx for doing one of my favorite channels on YT.
lot of lefties in Canada... being in Syracuse, NY it was rough to get fit for lefties. trying to sell my old clubs is even harder. keep up the videos!
Great fitting once again, its so nice to be able to follow your though process.
I don't know if you guys have done a video on it yet, but you should do what's in the bag for you guys
wow u made me into a believer of proper club fittings!

Yes - please get on with the putting series & videos, hah! Can't wait, cheers!
Great videos as always. I must need to move to Canada where all my fellow lefties reside!
Do Paul and Matt have the same coach? That takeaway is almost identical!
Paul is my coach actually!
I was wondering when we were going to see a bicept flex, haha. Very interesting when you mentioned not to let distance dictate shaft flex, guessing that works both way? Another great video guys keep them coming so much great information.
James Trichter 💪🏻 there it is James!!! 🤣🤣
Can't wait for the putting video
Amazing! Ian, you are a wizard!! Just wish I lived in Toronto........ Keep up the great work guys, loving it!!! 👍👌👏
Fascinating stuff
Every video is a very enjoyable lesson for me.
Wonderful Ian. I need a driver fitting
what can i say except another great informative video
Great video guys. Appreciated the education on droop, how it impacts shot results and how to address with the shaft selection. Is there a way to counter the offset without recasting the club?
Not that I can think of Anthony
Really enjoy your content. Extremely detailed.

Thank you. Very interesting.
Learning something with nearly every video. 👍
Just out of curiosity, have you or would you ever use two different shafts for a mixed iron combo to compliment the two different heads?
oh man, another unbelievable video guys.
Thanx
Yes same lie angle, we could have also looked at the Callaway Apex or anything with a bit more ball speed over the iBlade
TXG Tour Experience Golf ok thanks a lot Matt

Downward droop should cause toe down and OPEN the club face resulting in push fades right?
You guys are goddam magicians.
Great vid!
by the way: the i Blade 6 iron has a Loft of 30.5 and the i 200 6 iron a Loft of 29.5. Ian answered when you asked him, they have the same loft... Did he bent the loft to achieve the same loft😊?
Correct!
really good video!
Good stuff guys! What about the toe droop? Maybe he just needs regular lie?
We'll have Paul back in for a gapping session once he gets those new clubs! At that point we can fine tune lofts/lies with each individual iron.
awesome
Great content as always guys. If he is hitting his i200 7 iron longer now, have you delighted his iblade 8 iron to close the gap? Same with his 9 iron a little? Combo set can have this issue and it puts me off them personally.
You would need to adjust the shorter irons if creating a combo set with two sets that don't have the same lofts
Crazy video as both you lefties have surprisingly similar swings and tempo. Why not x100 or ctaper? Where you trying to get away from the heavier weight to increase ball speed? Keep up the good work fellas
For sure, a bit less weight was beneficial for Paul and the profile of the project X suited what we were trying to achieve with his ball flight
Sean Uryu i just switched from S300 to Nippon Modus 3 120X. Night and day. More ball speed, tighter dispersion!
Would love to get fitted by these guys
Was this 5 yard gain worth the increase in dispersion with the 200? The stiffened shaft seem to just fix right off the bat didn’t it?
Ps another great video by the by
Hi TXG,
Not discounting iron fittings but doesn't it really come to play-style at the end of the day? Michael
The individual's preference can certainly play a big role, but as you say that comes into play more with a lower handicap player
Also, Callaway is set at Draw setting on hosel and sole weight.
The Epic will be a lower launch/spin club, G400 should be more forgiving and produce a higher flight
TXG Tour Experience Golf would the forgiveness and higher lunch of the Ping vs Epic be noticeable at the same 10.5° lofts? I’m wondering if I need to go to the +1° with the Ping or stay at 10.5°.
Has there been a Ian swing yet?
Not yet, soon!
You heard it here first! Ian said, at 2:20, it’s the arrow, not the Indian!
Go straight to 5:54 if you want to see Ian's pythons. You won't be disappointed.

Kind regards
Were you a fan of the CP2 at all?
I had heard about them and, oddly enough found that they about as close to the VDRs as i could get. If they worked for me, I would give them a go
I would recommend the CP2's , have similar issues, diagnosed with RA recently. Changed over to the CP2 midsize on my Driver, woods and rescue last year. found them much nicer on the hands, but to chunky on the irons, so went for standard size with 2 layers of tape, love them.

Titleist 818 H1 vs H2
Lots of lefties in Canada Eh?
Derek Johnson Ice Hockey Nation 😸👍
It’s because of hockey. Majority of hockey players play left handed and it’s just so natural to want to golf left as well.
