This is absolutely ridicoulos, i don't know the exact prices, but lets say you would spend 650 on the 7 or 7t or whatever, thats not much? And now there is the 8, but its fucking 50$ more! God what the fuck does one plus think? I aint spending 50 bucks more on a stupid phone, that kills my wallet.

But you don't pay 50$ for the phone, you pay around 700$ thats at least 14 times 50$ if you can pay this price, the extra 50 shouldn't be a problem. There are other great phones for way less, and its not new one plus is in this price category.

It doesn't matter if it is expensive, I mean, that was the whole purpose of the company, to make "cheap" flagship killer phones for a while, and then to make an actual flagship who can compete with the big boys on the market, makes sense, and seeing it from a market point of view makes a lot more sense. Good for them.

I still remember the hype during OP1 launch. The flagship killer. Got myself one just because of all the hype, since then have owned the 3, 5, 6 and 7 pro. All of them were great devices but was sad to see them lose the flagship killer tag over the years
But honestly now with this in flagship price range, I'd go for more established options like a Galaxy.
1+ usp was the price, I don't feel I have much of an incentive to get one now
Lmao I've only had OnePlus One when it came out which still runs pretty great, but it didn't have enough memory so during Summer I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus has just gone onto a bigger market which is flagships not flagship killers. Samsungs are still overpriced if you compare the specs plus you never know with their updates if they are making the phone slower or not(both Apple and Samsung have had fines about this).

@@eriktenhag2022 You have the OnePlus 7 Pro though? I'd say that'll last at least another 3 years as a good phone unless newer phones will have some unbelievable upgrades. The Pro costed about $700 as well. If you go for phones below $400 that's gonna be a lower category so no point in comparing those with OnePlus phones. Idk for me $700 for a phone which feels great, takes pictures and videos well enough for me, runs cool and can handle very intensive games with no problem is pretty good for me. I'll most likely have this phone for another 3 years.

OnePlus always used to be the king of middle range. They offered high-middle range specs at a low price. Now there competing with the big boys since they bumped the price up and they will not win against the kings like Huawei, Samsung and Apple. The reason MKBHD kept giving that award to the oneplus phones was BECAUSE of the price and the specs that seem too good to be true. Now its just flagship specs at flagship price and companies like Samsung with better specs at the same price are going to roll over OP. Hopefully, in the OP9 series, they realize what they have done and bump the specs back a notch and bump the price back a couple of notches.

I had the OnePlus 8 interstellar glow and it was... GREAT! I didn't want to return it. Alas, I did return to my OnePlus 6T and that too is still a great smartphone. Looking forward to testing the next OnePlus phone device in a few weeks!

I was excited when he was going on about the 8 not really compromising specs from the Pro... But then I was disappointed because they made some major compromises for a phone that physically is only a little shorter and thinner...
I was a 5.5"-6" 1080p display, 4000mah, and too notch cameras... Why is it so hard for companies to make that?

Everything is perfect in this one plus phone but i want touch screen pen to use it , like samsung note 10 plus , then this phone can change the market perfectly , i am currently using one plus 7 pro , it is amazing in all aspects according to note 10 plus but the only thing i miss which is bluetooth stick( pen ) in this phone

I think this brand was good when long ago around oct 2015 it launched the op2 which was a real high end phone just for $400 plus delivery, this was a huge impact when other phones with similar specs where by ~700, that's why I bought one Plus, now it has similar prices for new phones, 8Pro is $800 omg.
