Edit: it’s been two years since I left this but I just want to say. One, these are not my quotes, I am a writer yes but of these particular quotes I am not. Two, these are quotes that I’ve found throughout the years but they stuck with me.
But I will say coming from the mindset I was two years ago compared to now. I’ve realized something about the pain I experienced. It always happened for a reason and I’ve been through some things that genuinely left me with absolutely no one. But that taught me to be grateful for myself, to decide that if others didn’t see my value I would, because somewhere in me was still just a child who wanted to be loved. And if no one else would be that person for her, I have a responsibility as the older one now to do that. All that being said sometimes it’s better to have no one and learn to appreciate you, then be surrounded by those who don’t value you in the first place.

This is my bestfriends favorite song. She had to move schools, I haven't seen her in 5 months. I randomly thought of her today and broke down. I still have the gift she gave me for my birthday, I still have the jumper I got everyone to sign including her, I still have all the pictures of her, but the one that hurts the most is all is I still have all the memories that will never be relived. The day we said hello, those days we would lay in the grass, that long talk we had about our feelings, that talk I gave her about growing up. She was like my sister, there wasn't one thing I didn't tell her. I could make the longest list about the things I miss about her, the way she didn't care what anyone thought about her, the way she could laugh at herself, the way she was so wonderfully weird in the most comforting way. I told my friends that I really missed her and was crying, not one asked if I was okay. I've been so lost without her, so now I have to guide myself, I know exactly what she would say "You'll be fine, make new friends, put yourself out there, don't cry over me!" But she's not here to even say that anymore. I remember the day she left, we pulled a prank on two classrooms and hung out in the bathroom either talking or in comfortable silence.
And I know that you are just a person trying to listen to music and not listening to my sob story so I'll let you go now.
