    Nice one! The only thing i don't like about the bass production was artificial aging at 12:06. Just like i would never let my new car be artificially scratched or dented, i would never have this done to my new instrument. To me it feels like the usual clothing industry trick of "taking something from the poor and making it a trend for the masses that follow trends", like aged clothing. How do you want to make your instrument "your own" when somebody else damages it randomly for you? Just play it and use it like it's meant to be used.

    Rosewood is the best if you travel with your bass guitar all over the world, the neck is less likely to warp - great for intonation. I would get a roasted (aging of wood makes sound better) Rosewood (good for neck less likely to warp if you travel a lot to different climate regions get rosewood neck and fret boards).

    Great tour and so happy that you ended up with your dream bass. It looks and sounds amazing! I picked up a Sandberg a few months ago after hearing about them for a long time. I’m a P bass guy primarily, and I picked up a Lionel (gold burst, hardcore aged) and it’s been my main bass ever since. I love the passive tone and short scale. It’s rock solid and very consistent across the entire fretboard, super light, but still very full bodied. I put TI JF324 flats on it and it’s everything a P bass wants to be but with absolutely no glitches. Plus, it makes it easy to play on those really tight stages! :D. Sandberg is making fabulous player basses.

    A guitar/bass pickup works by inducing voltage when the string vibrates and is NOT microphonic. Thereby the sound of the guitar/bass is affected how the string vibrates.
    There is talk about tone(wood) for about half of the video. Can someone please explain me how the wood affects how the string vibrates, thus changing the sound?

    • @ThePyro3525
      @ThePyro3525 3 года назад

      Harder/softer the wood affects how well the vibrations are transferred and conducted by the bass. Yes the pickups induce voltage but that’s when the whole instrument resonates not just the string.

    • @jensbomholt4529
      @jensbomholt4529 2 года назад

      Strings are attached to the wooden parts at both ends.
      The wooden parts vibrate "in symmetry" with the strings.
      The pickups move with the wood, because they are fixed on it.
      We have two vibrating systems!
      Any engineer physicist or mathematician could calculate for you, how dimensions and materials / density / moduli of elasticity/ speed and propagation of sound within the material... of the instrument (body and neck between bridge and tuners) result in vibrations of the pickups versus the strings. These add to the vibrations of the strings versus the pickups.

    i bet she didn't play bass in the music of this video - yes, she is realy pretty, but not that good on the bass. but perhaps i am wrong - would be happy to get surprised! PS: i see it was ida nielsen, so unfortunately i was right...

    Just curious, was the bass sponsored by Sandberg or did you have to pay the big bucks to get it? Cheers!
