After watching a few different reviews, it seems they put most of their effort into performance while kind of skimping on build quality in the non-critical parts of the airbrush. It's still impressive at the results you can get for the price these days. The Chinese are definitely getting better and better in an effort to compete with the Japanese and Americans. At this rate, it won't be long before they're true contenders.

The cup thread tolerance is actually a good thing. Close tolerances make the threads annoyingly tight during disassembly, which sucks if your patience wears thin quickly. A little loose is way better than a rage damage and replacing the brush.

First started airbrushing 41 years ago when a photographic technician doing photo retouching by hand before digital systems or Photoshop. The days when we had to do glossy unglazed galeria photographic prints and then any montage prints on papers thinner than a Rizzla cigarette paper. Have many £200+ Japanese and German brushes and having tried this out for the first with a Bartsharp compressor it is spot on for what I need it for as a miniature painter. Very rare I do super fine detail airbrush miniatures when NMM (Non Metallic Metal) brush work is the way to rumble these days! It may not be a H&S or an Iwata but boy this brush for the price is crazy good! I found the trigger rough and gritty at first but after first taking it apart and lubing the trigger mechanism I found it responsive and smooth and plush (think the rough initial feel was down to over cleaning the brush after testing but as I say once lubed it was smooth. We know it is not a Iwata or a H&S but boy this brush is a hell of a bang for no bucks!

If you look at the test sheet it’s actually printed. They no longer include it. The price on Amazon varies between £31 and £45 weekly so set an alert. Great little brush for the money.

I think it's better to put a bit more cash into something like this rather than pay £30 or so for one of those cheap guns, you need something half decent if it's your first brush, great review Rob and it will be interesting to see how it holds up down the line but I have a feeling it will be fine🙏👍

They have put great deal of effort into the nozzle design and the quality of the finish makes it easier to clean, but what a let-down on not getting the thread size right on the cup fit.. that would really put me off buying them even as a beginner.. If only they could get that right. But maybe buy two and fit one with the large cup and the other with the small cup, then use a thread glue to screw them permanently or even Solder the cups on is what I would do. I know, Crazy idea.. I'll get mi coat...🎨

I have one and been using it for some months. It works ok, but way to finicky to take apart, thinking about the trigger. My friend bought a Iwata HP-CS and the Ghaaleri is a pure rip off i noticed….😝

Ill not give up my H&S, or Sparmax, or even my two old Paasche, but I've been offered one these for £30, not sure if to buy it for a back up, or save the £30 and put that towards a 2024 alloy Evolution or 2024 alloy Infinity 🤔🤔

Its worth £30 all day long as a good back up brush

Surprised at how good that trigger response is but as you've said it's all about viscosity

I've tried to like mine an even though it has more features I personally go back to my patriot 105. This airbrush is heavy and a little more difficult to clean.

Looks a better build quality than yesterday's model , what about a bit of ptfe tape on the thread on the cup ?????

Hi there! Very useful video - I’ve just bought one of these to spray on model planes, but wanted to ask what compressor you recommend to use with it?

I bought a cheap Vevor kit which comes with a small compressor that would fit into the palm of your hand. The only issue is that you have no idea what your psi is. The psi is either low, medium or high.
Using the gaahleri on low with thinned Tamiya acrylic works well (so far).
With this airbrush I have had no issue with the tubs or lids. With the tiny nozzle, I have had to remove it with tweezers from the nozzle cap for cleaning. Afterwards you need to replace the nozzle into the nozzle cap and make sure that it is seated properly.
Why would you pay over $200 for a run of the mill airbrush?

Hi Rob, what about the resilience to solvents? Is the thin rubber ring not eaten away after one session?

    • @dredfxcustompaint

Not on the front end it will be fine you shouldn't get solvent round that bit got another video coming up soon where the brush will be pushed
      To its limits
