Use ghee (clarified butter) instead of olive oil to make it more authentic. Ghee has a specific flavour that olive oil does not. Walmart has it. Olive oil obviously works fine, though. These look great! If any of you ever go to Nepal, there is this hidden little restaurant called Tip Top in Kathmandu that has the best samosas.
There is a modest community of people from Nepal living here locally. I became pretty good friends with two of the brothers who live here. One runs an import company and the other runs a grocery store. Everything they stock and sell is imported from Nepal. We have a few really outstanding Nepalese restaurants around to support those communities. Their curries: SO AMAZING!!!
ccddle , you can actually make your own ghee and homemade ghee taste so much better. The stuff you buy on the self is kinda nasty imo compared to homemade ghee
I have never heard of Samosa until now...these look sooo good...I am going to have to try making these now that I have seen you make them...you make everything look so easy, Sara...you are such a kind and gentle person, I can tell...and your cooking talents are really easy to see...I love to cook and bake too and watching you just brings pure joy...thanks so much for sharing another great recipe...Blessings, love and hugs to you too!😊🙏💖
Was drooling over your eggplant panini & now over your samoa! Want apple pie cake & blackberry cake BOTH for dessert! Girl, what CAN'T you cook??!! You are a wiz!
My kiddos love watching your show! They are 4 and 9 and just adore you. Every night before bed we read books and then they ask to watch "Ms. Sara" 💕 P.S. they'd like to know if you plan on dressing up for Halloween.
I made samosas once a very long time ago. It was really fun and they came out pretty well for my very first try. It did take me about seven hours from start to finish, but that's only because I had never made them before and the recipe I was using called for making the garam masala from scratch.
I like your hair. It looks cute on you. I have never heard of this but I cannot eat cilantro because it tastes like soap to me. I know that sounds weird but it does. I love hot sauce if it has a little in it I am ok, but I don’t like cilantro as a garnish to anything.
Poor Sara, does the best she can. Her only connection to culture is Pinterest. She doesn’t care about style, fashion or how she appears to her public. I keep expecting more. Like measuring spoons in her hand. She’s better when she’s alone in the kitchen.
These are Samosas. They make may have different ingredients or look different from what you’re used to, but that all varies depending on the region they’re made in. A samosa is basically just a pastry with a savoury filling.
Yes ma’am!!!! I’ve dated Indian dudes, and have acquired authentic family recipes. This is legit as can be. Sara.. you are incredible

Nepal? Is that near the wva/ky border?
Ghee or even veggie oil
Wow those pies remind me of Polish pierogies. They’re made the same way but just a little smaller.

I know its been awhile since you posted this video, but im just seeing this and wonder can you bake them instead of frying them...
Yes you can bake them.. I heard her say as she was rolling them out you could fry or bake.
kathy garvin if you bake them, it is best to brush them with some egg yolk to bring out that golden color!
It literally answers your question in this video...
Cute haircut!!
Looks yummy TY for sharing Sara.

Cilantro used to taste like soap to me as well. The more I ate it that taste went away and now I love it.
Ive never seen sarah take a bite of her food 😐
Love from pakistan 🇵🇰
Love your hair. Sara. X
sounds grt...minus the cilantro...great job!
Coriander seeds (cilantro seeds) are a good, less pungent, substitute.
Very pretty girl.
Looks like empanada
Are you Mennonite or Amish?
You have to be constantly doing dishes. Hope your husband helps.
All you hear is breathing.

Way too much salt, wow.
Coriander and cilantro are the same thing. 🙄
In my house coriander is the seed, cilantro is the leaf.
What? No.
Kaitlin true
True. Downunder its coriander
See Hari Ghotri These are not very much like samosas
Stop it.
Those are not samosas!
Leave her alone. It's her version.

No.
Yummy!
