Japanese Love Hotel is equivalent to Brazilian Motel. Motel in Brazil it's usually on the road, cheap and you get there by car just like it's cousin in the US, but it's main purpose is the same of a Love Hotel. Curiously, in some critical situations; due to lack of money or options, people also use it as a normal and cheaper hotel.
Having just discovered this channel, I've been binge watching Sora's videos. Entertaining and educational, a great combination. Btw, it's interesting to read the comments on channels that show Japanese commercials. Many folks just assume that all Japanese commercials are the weird, creative ones that they see online. From my understanding, the majority are typical commercials similar to what gets shown in most countries. To me that makes the really great ones that more special. When something becomes the norm, it becomes less interesting and entertaining.

Keep them coming! I love to learn about Japan. By the way, there are love hotels in Brazil too. And sometimes people use them for parties. On the other hand, going zombie in my country would get you robbed or worse. I think that’s the same pretty much everywhere, except for Japan.

From a different mindset, in Spain, if a person is laying unconscious in the street people go and try to help. They will ask you if you are ok, if you need help to go home o if you need them to call an ambulance to go to the free hospitals and medical centers we have. I have fallen in the street and hurt myself a lot of times and people come quickly to see if you are ok. One time I tripped over and hurted myself in the head, I was bleeding (I wasn't drunk and it was in the afternoon, I'm just clumsy). 4 or 5 people came fast, trying to help me, a boy was calling an ambulance and a girl even stayes with me all the time holding my hand and saying it will be ok. A guy from a hotel nearby brought me water. This is usual in Spain, people cares, and this really makes me feel safe. I will be sad and scared if I'm laying on the street and people pass by me ignoring or not caring.
When I stayed in a capsule hotel at Hiroshima for a few days, leaving the hotel at around 8am, there were zombies on the floor EVERY morning in the street! (It was clearly a nightlife neighboorhood with bars, soap lands and so on) It's strange at first, but you get use to it, and it's indeed a sign of Japan's safety. I can't imagine what would happen in Paris to people who would just pass out all alone on the street...
it's really funny to me that I know Sora livestreamed the love hotel with the pillow, has seen strange events that is perverted as fuck but actually interesting (found out via youtube homepage), etc. It's really interesting how Japan is very creative with weird stuff
Here in Denmark, I've also experienced that little girls enter the men's locker room, especially at swimming pools. It actually happens for both boys and girls, whenever their same-sex parent isn't present, because then the child would have to join the opposite-sex parent when they get changed. I think it's easiest to just act like the child isn't there. However, I have experienced that there was an older girl, probably around 7-9 years old. She seemed much more aware, and kept staring at me... now THAT was awkward. So I think it should only be acceptable if the kid is preschool age.
Well, would you send a 7-9 year old girl into the women's locker room by herself? Mature 9 year olds I could maybe see, but that's still pretty damn young. Tricky situation for all involved. I'm sure the parent in question doesn't feel super comfortable with it either.
I think these situations should generally be normal and not considered weird. But hey, I'm German. We're relaxed about seeing other people naked. You are all weird about it :P
Ive been the dad taking their daughter places, and sometimes other people are so awkward you and your child are asked to leave the changing room or toilets, because the mums get uncomfortable with a man taking his daughter into he girl changing room or toilet and then they also get uncomfortable when you take them into your male changing rooms or toilets instead. The love hotel sounds like a great concept. But I do remember going swimming with my dad at the pool when I was like 5-6, and I REALLY didn't wanna go in the men's locker room. I only lived at my mom's place back then, so I wasn't really comfortable getting undressed in front of men. In Greece, we have a festival similar to Kanamara Matsuri every Spring, so it won't be weird for me to attend.
I took one for the team and googled kanamara matsuri. When grug explained, it’s about healthy love life in all aspects.
I might not be able to go to Japan and I already know most of the things said on this video. Thanks again for the educational and entertaining although I said this so many times lol😅. Anyways, I keep updated always for your next video.
That hangover on Saturday
Omg this kanamara festival is today, what a crazy coincidence
This was a well made informative video that covers thing foreigners probably wouldnt ever consider. This will be helpful for tourists.
