i stumbled upon your channel while researching the pt edge, great comparison! and the audio quality test from round 1 really made up my mind, in my ears the cardo have more detail in the sound, it feels like its more "open" oh and you guys forget about 1 thing, i think that another subject that comes to mind when choosing a intercom unit is what the majority of your riding group uses so we wouldn't need to use bt intercom. anyways, great video guys! thanks a lot and greetings from indonesia!

Can you do a range test with the cardio paired to the Sena?
I had the Sena intercom with no problem in the first year after started my audio to not function even after 4 audio/microphone changes it was not working... start to get damage the plastic etc... Now I did purchase cardo edge now everything is good.

Great video, but I want to ask both cardo & sena can connect how many handphone because I hv 2 handphone. Will it connect 2 of it and how is it going to function if both handphone is ringing? 🤔

yeap it really depends on the environment as well! we've used both the sena and the cardo for our daily rides and so far they've been awesome

For cado Edge since it has a firmware update now edge and sena 50s can connect with Universal intercom on sena 50s

Great video. One question is does the noise cancellation only work via intercom? Or regular mic usage also can (eg. WhatsApp call or voice message)
In our daily usage we found that these are good for calls when youre riding. Noise cancellation works during the call!
Hello, I watched both parts of the video and found them very interesting. Recently, I purchased the Cardo Packtalk intercoms and I am experiencing three issues:
1: When I communicate with another Cardo unit and start speaking, the first syllable or sometimes the last syllable of my sentence gets cut off. It's annoying, and I feel like they are cutting off too quickly in an effort to save battery (I'm not using the battery-saving mode).
2: When we communicate through DMC, there is a delay of up to 1 second, and with Bluetooth, there is a slightly less pronounced delay, but the audio is still delayed.
3: When I connect the intercoms via Bluetooth and connect my phone to listen to music, the music cuts in and out and some parts of the song are sped up.
Did you experience the same issues or something similar during your tests?

1. U might want to use the cardo app to adjust the sensitivity settings. It helps.
2. The delay is normal but should not affect your chat when riding.
3. Experienced this before with the cardo bold but apparently its due to my android version. It solved the problem after a firmware update
Sena does have a "Universal Pairing Mode" option that you have to navigate to the menu to get to. I've not ever used it though so I can't say if it works at all
Have had multiple friends with Sena's use the universal pairing mode with success.
Like Vinja mentioned, you have to go through the menu which involves pressing and holding the jog dial or button for roughly 10 or so seconds. A voice prompt will inform you that you are in the configuration menu.
After that, its just a matter of rotating the jog dial till the voice prompt of universal pairing arrives and pressing the button to start the universal pairing process.

Im struggling so hard between SENA 50S vs. CARDO PACKTALK EDGE - i really dont know which one to get...
Shop around (who sells both devices) just said CARDO has a cooperation with helmet producers like SHOEI / SCHUBERTH / ... and in 2023/2024 they will just build helmets usable with SENA....
The other thing is, that there should be an international intercom-standard in future, where CARDO and much much brands are in but SENA declined cooperation oft that, which is super sh....
But my stomach feeling says / wants me to get the CARDO because i think its way better and a way stronger unit....
What would be your choice in thise case?...

Just to be sure in my case - i mostly want to drive with 2-3 people but want to have the option to drive with 5-7 or maybe more people if needed.
So EDGE only choice, or would go still recommend / buy the lower version the BOLD ?

i got both of them but really disappointed me , both can't use whatsapp voice call, the microphone can't record any sound. wechat voice call no problem at all ONLY whatsapp voice call and whatsapp voice recording totally rubbish
One person using a Cardo AND a Sena Mesh Blue solves the problem for less than $200. The Mesh Blue connects with the Cardo like a phone and connects to Sena Open Mesh 2.0. Anything on the Cardo gets sent on the Sena Mesh and anything on the Sena Mesh gets sent to the Cardo and off to the Cardo Mesh.
Where I ride, cell towers are like unicorns.
And I'm not affiliated with SENA or Cardo.
I love groups being able to communicate, so I bought a Sena Mesh Blue simply to loan out when we get a mix. Works for anything that will pair with a phone. But, for every oddball disparate system, you need another Sena Blue.

Guys, just to let you know, cardo pactalk comes with 2 directional antenna located on the back and front of the device while sena i believe has an omnidirectional antenna. So if you're telling me your experiment is a real world scenario, make it real by at least make the story teller to stand straight pointing towards the listener. Because we don't ride terbalik-terbalik and then on reverse. Hahaha. You can try on your next experiment. Just my 2 cent from your country neighbour.
