Probably half of the woman out there will not even allow me to hold it for them. They will push on the door to show I am not needed.

I love your banter with your wife as so playful and chill as you just have to be and looks like a fun trip. So sweet of her to buy gifts as it seemed as much of a thrill for her, just like the kid on the street playing his guitar for tips. And of course more goodies for the house so you can enjoy the patio by the pool as the hardware and pharmacy prices are cheap compared to USA. P.S Your puppy will be happy with all the treats making up for leaving for a day..
Really good video. I was married to a Costa Rican girl (similar to you wife), and found that even when we moved to the states she stayed humble and practical. I have good health care and went to the emergency once in my life. That time was for a kidney stone pain and spent four hours in the hospital total charge was over $1,800.00.

My wife is from Bocolod I had my first trip there this June. Loved it. Your videos are helping me really consider this kind of move in the next decade or so. I’m 33 my wife is 26. We have a 1 year old and one coming. Hard to decide whether or not to keep them in the states until they finish school or not. If I sold my house here in Austin I’d have more than enough to build a fortress over there similar to yours. Keep the videos coming I’ve been glued to them these past few days. Funny about the Jollibee comment you made here too, I just drove my wife 100 miles to San Antonio for lunch 3 days ago for lunch a Jollibee. The kid with the guitar and raquel’s interaction with him was priceless, very nice! Also I googled average height for a woman there when you said she’s 4’11”. I assumed she was jus5 a little short but apparently average is a quarter inch shorter than her, so you’re both tall! Lol. I’m 5’6” btw so it’s funny to think I’ll be 1-2 inches above average. Funny. I love your channel. You and the Pea are my fav two. Have you met her? I think she lives near dumaguete.

I was in the Philippines 82,83 while in the Seabees. I loved the people, food, weather and of course the women. Being 62 but thankfully look younger because of working out if I moved there I would look for a wife in their 40s or 50s that's inshape. I'm not one of these " old" guys that want a child. I rather have someone that can grow old with me and be able to get my SS to live on when I'm gone . Your videos are one of the best. I'm a simple person that just needs weights to workout with and I'd be happy.

You can easily find what you are looking for as far as a wife goes.
Simple weights is all you need and we both know that.
I can only imagine your total experience with someone closer to your age has many advantages like making mature decisions and having a bit of common sense. I can say that strategy has worked for me 20 years and counting of shared values and true friendship.

Hey Corey I tell my Filipina wife and 2 stepchildren 6 & 8 that we can go anywhere for Dinner and they always choose JolliBee’s. I don’t understand it. Oh well. I too take an expensive medication here in the Philippines that cost a fortune in the US but a small fraction of that here.
So Corey you seem to be a very attentive, loving and caring husband with a sweet loving wife. I think you would make a great father so do you see any children in your future?
The simple things they want always make me smile. Children? We don’t see that in our future aligning with our other goals.

Another very entertaining and educational video. I've been spending some time inside Lee's Plaza myself recently. I was told to expect very high prices for meds before moving here so I was able to convince my doctor in the US to write a prescription to provide me with an entire year's worth of daily doses before I left. Based on your experience it maybe won't be so bad when I eventually do need a refill. Of course I had really great employer provided insurance so my year's worth of meds cost was basically free even though I'm sure there was billing and a large payment covered by my old company. Luckily I also haven't had any need to visit a hospital here in Dumaguete but life is such that you never know. What I do know is the last time I spent some time hospitalized in the US it would have completely ruined me financially if I didn't have such great employer provided health insurance. I certainly wouldn't be here now enjoying retirement in the best place I've ever lived. I would have been working for at least another decade or more to at least pay some of that hospital bill. The health care affordability problem is something I definitely won't miss while living in the USA. Happy New Year to you and your entire family!

The the USA Health Care is one of the most profitable business models for a reason. Employer and Employees are mandated to pay Health INS. The pharmaceutical companies are selling their meds at the highest price for employees health insurance or no insurance but the contract with Medicare and Medicaid insurance at a much lower price. In other words, working stiffs pay more so our Healthcare eco system can support the poor and the old.

@@ItsMe_Philippines I’m a RN and Case Manager/Care Coordinator. I’ve had a career of advising Physicians and patients on the health care benefits or lack of them and alternatives when needed. Unfortunately in the current system, patients and doctors are at a clear disadvantage and many benefits have to be fought for and appealed when denied.
It was interesting comparing medical cost. I'm only 47 but am seriously considering retiring there. We are only one medical emergency from bankruptcy of here. My personal recommendation, live in or near a major hospital (city) if you are elderly. Far to few medical clinics in the provinces. Really enjoy your videos.

I'm a retired pharmacist, US markup on pharmaceuticals is crazy, but make sure you don't get a medicine made in China...there is very little oversite there. You can not be sure the medicine is what they say it is.

All the drugs made in the whole entire world are made in China bud over 95% of American drugs are made there so I don't know what you're really talking about but yeah
@@steelcitytv Actually, China produces 13% of the world's pharmaceuticals, which sometimes gets US in trouble supply chain wise. I guess what I meant was to be wary of the company they come from. I think we have all read in the news about issues in this area. Not sure how strict the Philippines is on importing drugs.
@@ItsMe_Philippines Hey, not trying to scare you. Don't know what drug we are talking about here, but if it is a generic, find out what company is manufacturing it. If it is a Chinese company then just do a quick Google to see if anyone has had issues.
No offense , 70 % of medications are produced in India China and Asian countries. Big pharm and their lobbyists have always screwed us over in the USA for eons.

I love spaghetti here in the USA but was not expecting a sweat sauce when I eat at Jollibee for the first time. I will say its not the same but its good. I normally get it ordered on foodpanda when we don't want to go out. I will say my favorite food there is my fiancé's family cooking. Pancit, adobo, rice and the little dried fish (surprisingly good with the rice) and whatever else they put on the table.
I love my wife’s cooking and yea that spaghetti is rather weird and sugary!
As much as I've tried..I totally find dried fish disgusting..almost as bad as balut..and the smell is worse than the taste if thats possible. I like adobo fine and ask my gal to leave the dried fish in the trash..lol
@trainrecked lol that's funny because I wont even touch balut. I do not normally like a strong fishy flavor but for some reason those little dried fish hit the spot with some rice.

I imagine a few small minnows and id be fine , just tossing the fish aside as I go..lol. I guess u could compare with cilantro..eaters most either love it or hate it. The smell of dried fish cooking is not appetizing to me along with the roasted fried garlic..and I love garlic! lol
