2024 is, for the time being, the greatest year for dance music, and will continue to be until you can no longer listen to dance music from 1993 in 2024.
@@dickjohnson9713 Theres so much on here too! If you're a Junglist, may I recommend Bryan Gee at Phenomenon One, Hacienda '95(ish?) Amazing set. Peace mate👍🙂
@@robertwright7937 It's not just jungle, all rave music, old Oakenfold tapes, techno, you can go as deep and long ass way down to the 90s. People can educate them selves, good stuff everywhere, makes a old raver happy :)
For me, 93 was one of the best years it was pre drum n bass and was still called rave at that time and musically in 1993 you heard the music shift towards this futuristic sound from Bukem who was spearheading this vibe awesome times and a great club the Edge formerly eclipse in Coventry
Best club outside of London for the Junglist/hardcore/DnB heads. We travelled from Burnley and had great times in the early 90’s around Brum. Big up Marcus Intalex who drove the scene in Manny from our Burnley town, big up the original heads who knew what time it was back then, Danny Bukem is and always will be the DON.
mine is Mickey Beam.......i am gonna get his symbol tattooted (with his aproval....yes i asked permission......and he personally answered me.......i'm in heaven.....Bukem is ausumn too.....i am a dj myself since 97....till infinity......gr
Feel that shudder at 21 min or so that 1 tune changed it all 4 me so innovative at the time devestates now legend of a tune +hearing bukem mix with this bad boy I am still speechless after 29 classiccc🥳
Skills at the 32 minute mark. Only Bukem could have thought of this, let alone performed in this way. Not many others could keep two tunes from clanging apart from Randall, Footloose, Hype, Slipmatt, Mastersafe and maybe Andy C
Something that always interested me was that Bukam trained in classical piano and understood music at a deep level. I know from my own DJ'ing (see my channel) that all house onwards tracks are in minus keys (well the majority). Haunting is the word musicians use for the minus keys and it makes sense. I always thought his understanding of music seperated Bukem from the rest. I think Ratty was up there with Bukem but not many others. His mixing skills, cuts, fades, etc I still try to emulate (but fail usually). I wish this vibe and music was still around today, rather than the souless, dog shite now-a-days with phones in the air.
@@JamesBrewerDJ ... yup, I think you're on the mark. Due to being a southerner I never really caught much Ratty. Overall, nobody does a "journey" set like Bukem...not even close.
This 6 pack reminds me of doin Acid with my pal sittin in his room for the most part of the early hours lava lamp snes 00 and red skins, the hidden grooverider mix on the back of the ratty set was good to, (recorded at Back with a vengence ~Amnesia House milton keyenes ) the hole of the 6 of the best and doubles from Eclipse to The Edge 91 to 93 were the best. I miss the 80s n 90s . Millennium was a build up to mediocrity
30 years old and still fresh. LTJ so ahead of his time and still one of the best out there. Nuff respect 👊🏻🔥💥

Bukem even back then could seriously mix. A lot of other big names couldn't. Was just about their dubplates. This guy is a genius.
Totally agree dude
He was also dropping everything on a plate and still mixed tight
110% man no one chops a fader like Bukem to this day. It was my dad playing me progression sessions 3 that made my buy decks and start mixing
