I like how this clip shows the Waller trusts Deadshot the most, and why she clued him in on the fact she knew that at least one of the team was a traitor.
I mean his daughter was on the line, and they both know he wouldn't take that risk
He has the most to pull. He’s in a lose-lose situation, knows he’ll never escape, and knows his daughter will never take him back. So until his daughter is dead, he’s Waller’s most valued and trusted member. Harley is second.
Somehow.
I noticed that Waller delayed Jewelee's timer (the bomb didnt go off nearly as fast as it did with Vertigo). I feel like Waller was testing Deadshot so she could see if he really was going soft. That or she was torturing Jewelee.
I think she just did that to hear her desperation lol
Or checking loyalties
@@JonatasMonte Too late for that when she wasted her ex lover.
waller made jewel watch before she blew her up
I thought she just wanted her anxiety to set in before she did it
I felt so bad for Punch. He was a cool guy who was loyal to Deadshot.
Nah, punch was a murderer too. Killed many people and gleefully did so.
@@tonywong8134 What movie or comic was that in?
He just wasn’t in on the joke
“Loyal to Deadshot” is a strong phrase. He just didn’t know about the plan
@@diegopansini3152 Even still, he showed concern when Vertigo betrayed him, which is more than can be said for Veritgo or Jewlee.
I love how he goes "She knows" and he had the nerve to say "What". Like COME ON NOW.....if there's one thing you need to remember about Waller, SHES ALWAYS LISTENING
Insert Monsters Inc. Roz voice: "Alllllllways waaaatching..."
@@logandarklighter good one
That’s why villains should never talk their plans when they’re about to kill someone.
So does that mean when Deadshot and Harley were banging,Amanda was listening?. Eww y'all think she was pleasuring herself to the sound of two people doing the beast-with-two-backs? 🤣
@@vladimir-savage72 Oh god no
Deadshot: She knows
Pause at 3:27
See this face? This is the face of a man who regret his choice deeply.
Vertigo: W U T
Yeah. It was at 3:27, that vertigo knew he fucked up.
*Surprised Vertigo face*
"You're lying, I'm team leader." And that is him desperately trying to call a bluff in hopes Waller wasn't listening
It was at this moment Vertigo knew... He fucked up
The live action was played by a cool guy like Will Smith, yet both animated versions of Deadshot were more memorable and cool than him
Also they made Deadshot infinitely more effective and powerful, canon-speaking. Contrast the Arkham games (where he gets outmaneuvered by Batman noticing Deadshot's standing on a *grate* and takes him out in one punch in one fight, and is a fairly easy fight in the other) with this animated canon (where he beats out and apparently cuckolds THE JOKER.) I call bullshit, personally.
@@JacksonJinn The Arkham Universe Deadshoot is effective, but extremely cocky. Its usually his determination to kill Batman that has him make stupid decisions.
Not more memorable
oshomroni I mean I think that’s more the fault of the writers than Will Smith.
@@chiamrandall8188generally I blame the writers and directors first, and the actors second
3:27 the change in his voice when deadshot said “she knows” was funny

I giggled like a school girl at the part because I knew he fucked up for the last time
I see Tony Stark is paying his dues for Civil War
Whut?
Tony was on the right side of the law in Civil War. Cap was the criminal.
So you also notice dead shot looks like tony stark
@@PureGoldNeverCorrodes But the law was on the wrong side of the people. Two sided coin buddy, neither side was technically wrong...
Hold up... Are you talking about the film or the comics?
Solqueen86 why does he have the Tony stark look?
“Just saving on the dry cleaning” literally the most badass thing he could’ve said
Why couldn't live action movie be like this?
How was this Will Smith's fault? He didn't write the movie. It wasn't any of the actors fault.
DC was too pussy to go the brutal route on the film. Profit is just too high up there on their list of priorities. they don't want to risk putting out a grittier film with a solid story, they would rather lighten it up for general audiences. why else would the fucking poster look like neon cotton candy vomit and their trailers advertised like a comedy action?
@DC MEDIA NEWSWIRE yeah in 2009. Decent movie in a good direction, but I'm talking about trends. of course we'll find exceptions, especially if you go back far enough.
seriously. marvel's excuse is disney. but WB just prefer to be pg 13
Arthur Morgan why don’t u worry about Micah bell first. Cowpoke
This is the proper intro that a Suicide Squad film deserves!
That and Assault on Arkham
What about the 2021? :D
@@seanjmy9214 that one was great too

He finished his sentence at end of the movie. Meaning he must have done dozens of other missions. No doubt this happened a few times
3:54 Cheaters don't prosper Jewels, your lucky to have had the mercy of Deadshot
It was a pet the dog moment for dead shot. Adding a little humanity to the character.
Most females do that all the time anyway.
That's pretty sexist bro.
Pelcogo he said most. not all females. They’re just facts bro
@emma omo
Pleading for Mercy after realizing you are about to be killed for offending the wrong person......plus the way she tried to shift the blame on vertigo.......not buying it.
Being a criminal and a supervillain is one thing.
Betraying your partners/love is a different story.
Even Villians dislike cheaters and double-crossers.
Those two "Lovebirds" aren't very bright. You have a bomb in your head and you're going to double cross the person who has the kill switch? Yeah, genius plan.
Why did Vertigo save Deadshot if he was going to kill him anyway? If anything letting Tobias Whale kill Deadshot would've made a better cover story than the training running him over and his plan wouldn't have been exposed and gotten him killed.
Exactly, dude you just blown our minds. No pun intended.
Eobard95 plot
Eobard95 Why would he be thinking about his plan while fighting for his life?
Villains love to monologue.
Given that Waller was listening in, Vertigo was dead regardless.
Just goes to show that even when you think no one is listening in on you, you're always being listened to and watched from somewhere by someone that knows you.
I like this version of Deadshot voiced by Christian Slater, He is main character in suicide squad comic versions.Him with Harley, captain Boomerang make a good team, with Waller of course
Interesting how Deadshot is the prime example of an old Bill Hicks joke: the best person to lead is the one guy who doesn’t want to do it.
1:26 "I'm gonna talk shit instead of killing you." "Then I'm gonna patiently wait for that other guy to make a move and kill me."
The voice actor is Dave Fennoy who voiced Lee Everett from the Walking Dead
@@MultiTcherryl know (not just lee every telltale game)
Is it me or is it dc animated movies getting more violent than the previous movies
This one had a R rating
some animation studio has to cater to the adults need for badass cartoons
It looks like western animation are taking lessons from their Japanese counterpart if you know what I mean.
In my opinion, villain movies should be as violent and disgusting as possible. They're villains after all. We love them not because they're likeable or relatable, but because how evil and charismathic they are. So the tone in this movie makes sense and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Besides, violence isn't something new in DC animated movies. Mask of Phantasm, Return of the Joker and Under the Red Hood were pretty violent.
Sage Ninja the killing joke rated R before
Batman the dark knight return and wonder woman 2009 got some violent scene
The voice and character of deadshot is awesome in the movie. A stone cold killer who is a bad guy only cause of his job.
It’s cute that deadshot only shoots her after she says "Please don't let her blow my head off", because he could actually save her from that (by killing her). Deadshot is a nice guy, sorta.
No one mourned for Waller when she finally died in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War.
And to think wasnt even from Darkseid invasion but cancer
@@xtrlsidma that's hilarious
What about that Jerk evil unforgivable Thunderbolt Ross? Ture villain
probably a “pack watch rip bozo 😹😹👎🏾👎🏾” kind of thing
This is why I prefer morally ambiguous Waller myself.
"Floyd, please... don't let her. I know I was a bad girl, but please... don't let her kill me."
Deadshot shoots her.
Waller: "A mercy killing, getting soft on my Lawton?"
Deadshot: "Nope, just cleaning up the DC universe."
probotboyxxx Deadshot you my favorite~ ^ω^
this comment is underrated damn got em gud
Thank you.
She begged Floyd not to let Waller blow her head off. Technically, he complied with her request.
That he did.
0:08 nice little detail. Floyd ejects the magazines on his wrist guns
Waller really showing her cruel side on Jewel making her wait listening to the bomb beeping drawing out her fear and terror just to play with her. As a man once said “now that is just a mean woman”😂
3:56
*Jewel crying and panicking seeing her lover die in front of her and her realisation of her being next*
Me: hehe... Biggie Smalls poster
Well that's what she gets for Killing Jack in the Box.
Amanda Waller is perhaps the single most irredeemable, evil, cold-blooded piece of work in comics. She makes the Joker look good by comparison, and that's really hard to do. And at the same time, she's so smugly sure she's untouchable and on the right side, and she's wrong on both counts.
I mean, how many cities has she tried to gas attack? I understand on the successful end she's probably got more points, but if we count failures, Joker has *quite* the rap sheet.
NO SHE FCKING DOES NOT COMPARE TO JOKER AT ALL. Joker literally murders innocent children and people in general for fun or to spite Batsy. Waller is meant to be a necessary evil not even a good or bad character just an effective agent of results, she does nothing for fun just to complete the mission.
She literally cannot compare to the likes of the joker, she only does this to bad people
For those everyone who saying deadshot look like tony stark
Yes he is 😊 he always look like that
"No, just saving on the dry cleaning" damn Lawton, that's savage
1:02 you can clearly see that he passed by this window already, and then the next moment, he's in the middle of it
"Don't let her blow my head off"
Deadshot "don't worry I will instead"
Jewel reminded me just how scary it must be to know your head is about to explode in 5 seconds, and there's nothing you can do about it.
You know, with walking human crocodiles, superpowered assassins, blades that reap your soul, an exploding obedience device seems pretty mundane and completely unspecial, but Jewel's pleading and terror really kind of reminds you just how serious it has to be taken. Her voice acting really put things into perspective.
4:25 No, no mercy killing. Was just sick of her whining.
Hands down my favorite part of this scene is how Vertigo looks up into the sky as he begs for his life like he’s praying to GOD (bc that’s kind of the tone she sets with these guys)
Yeah Jewel would never betray Punch. She literally went after the man who killed him in pre 52. This is not just inaccurate it’s hurtful.
Shark Dude 7 I was reading into it and yeah it looks like they were like a solid couple just like Louis lane and Clark Kent would always be
More of the ooppss gotcha bs writing today
Well at least they got punch dying right
You said it your self pre52. That is a different universe. This is new52 universe
Different universe, different world, you were too attached to details in a source material that is only similar in character names, take your pick and accept, I guess.
Waller trusts one member of the squad, and only one
The man with a daughter, who’d do anything, and be loyal to anyone, to see her again
He is the real Deadshot
3:33 Amanda Waller is watching them on the suicide squad, if they did something wrong.
Vertigo's "Wat" upon finding out that he's not the mastermind he thought he was is hilarious
Everybody thinks they're tough shit until Waller starts popping heads.
2:29
A shame. I kinda liked this clown guy.
It’s even worse because him Jewelee are meant to be a positive spin on the Joker and Harley’s relationship.
I like characters who just accept amanda’s execution because they know they fucked up and have already sticked to their decisions and accepted that their rats and have failed
This is my favorite version of DeadShot
All things considered, those bodyguards on the part of the train that got cut off should thank the Squad.
And I honestly wouldn't want to even risk the appearance of betraying my boss if she had a bomb implanted in my head.
Those guards are impressive though they dodge a laser
I mean it worked out for most of them in assault on Arkham
I really enjoy seeing the difference between heads being blown off in Assault on Arkham and Hell to Pay. Kinda like watching X-Men, then Logan.
This deadshot looks like an older Damien Wayne. And I love that Slater (Who also guest-starred in Archer, does his voice)
2:10 he looks like Damian with a mustache
catsndogs98 it’s a goatee beard
The body proportions and styles are very different from the normal comic representation of these characters.
Such a shame Punch got offed the way he did. Kinda cool he stuck up for Deadshot tho when Vertigo went AWOL.
You think he's in hell, with Vertigo and jewel?
0:27 giving him a kiss
I wish there would be a movie or comic or whatever that just killed off Waller with little fanfare. She's more a villain than all of the suicide squads, answers to literally no one, not even the president. She's obviously has just fooled everyone with enough bluffing.
Deadshot’s Master Chiefy, Christian Slater-ish voice is like a massage for my ears.
I’ve always loved Slater’s voice.
man.. this deadshot design straight up Tony Stark from Marvel Comics
Damon Wayne looks awefully like deadshot.
That looked more intense than the 2016 suicide squad movie
So...Deadshot has been on the suicide squad a lot...I guess that’s why he was picked as the scout for the traitor?
He's also the one with the most honor among the team, as he's basically a mercenary/hitman who simply gets the job done and gets paid. He's not in it for world domination or any of that crap, he wants to get paid and provide for his daughter. That makes him one of the most reliable and trustworthy members of the team. And Waller would know that.
Waller and Lawton likely developed a mutal respect for each other in their own ways.
Were I her, I'd trust what Lawton says for the most part.
I wish Jewel didn’t die right away it would have been nice to see Harley Quinn and her meet
Harley knew about her at least, she talks about her later and how she wanted to do violent things to her.
I fucking love Deadshot's facial expressions!😅👌🤣
It's so cathartic watching count vertigo's head explode. He was always one of the most annoying super villains for me.
4:16 uuuuuggggghhh fine I won’t let her kill you
For those who don’t know, Vertigo, Punch, and Jewelee were original Suicide Squad members from the 80s. They survived there, but just barely. The only one missing in these movies is Nightshade, she was the most important member in the original comic besides Deadshot, Boomerang, and Bronze Tiger. But they just decided to replace her with Harley 😑
poor copper head at the end, he was actually being loyal
So, in the afterlife, is Punch really angry at Jewel for killing and cheating on him with Vertigo
Kinda hard to talk with all that fire goin on
Someone tell me I'm not the only one who hears Deadshot and thinks "...Christian Slater"?
Maybe he can play him live action? He’s said he wants to and I don’t think will Smith is interested in the role anymore
"Going soft?"
"Nah. Just don't wanna pick two brains out of my suit."
Waller a pure psycho. Deadshot is more sane than her.
3:13 i like how thats what deadshot does to waller at the end.
Did this man really just say "I'm team leader" as a point?
Most murders in an opening animation scene ever.
Both villains begging for help and mercy
Deadshot: 🗿
Now this is how Suicide Squad should've been in the DCEU! This is why the best Cinematic Universe in movies for DC are the animated movies.
“Just saving on the dry-cleaning.”
One of the best lines since “‘dry-clean only’? F*** this!”
Man why is it that in the animated DC" movies, they can get away with so much bloodshed and death, but in the live action ones the violence is so tamed. But at least hero movies are starting to get more gory these days, what with the Deadpool" and newest Suicide Squad" movies.
Cause their market are teenager if movie show much gore it will be R Rated movie. Even in my country if movie have bunch of gore or blood they will cut or cencor that part. Its sucks, like when i watch Mortal Kombat on Theater they cut many fatalities and when Mera and Aquaman kissing they cut that part too.
"just saving on the drycleaning" brilliant line.
Hey, Vertigo two words for you
3:50 Heads up
Deadshot really had a look like: what am I supposed to do here, how am I supposed to save you from Waller?
3:38--You're already dead.
Deadshot is the best Suicide Squad member.
In a world where Batman exists there are still people signing up to be thugs who might not even be paid enough
Almost hated to see the Jack in the Box guy get killed.
It's all fun and games until your head is about to explode!
The one who's voicing Tobias Whale is also the one who's voicing Lee right?
#RIPLee
Jewel: Floyd, don't let her
Deadshot: And how the fuck am I supposed to do that???
Never underestimate waller she is a soldier with the heart of a demon
I feel like if Jewel survived then I feel like She would betray Vertigo and end up fighting the Suicide Squad
What the hell kind of explosives are they using that makes the head swell like that?
Hokuto Shinken explosives
@@TheTriangle444 gottem
Seems to release pressurized air first to probably stop the blood flow and then the actual explosion goes off
I like how dc stop trying to make sci fi weapons and just draw a 416 in there lmao
Great movie I love it, amazing sequel and follow up from multiple DC characters
Deadshot is like the perfect guy for this scene. They thought they had them, but deadshot's the only guy who walks in, and he's the lovechild of Neo from the Matrix and Arthur Morgan (since Lenny didn't have the best aim..)
This movie is more deadly in live action
3:45
Is no one gonna talk about the hilarity of a bomb causing a face to swell and puff randomly like that before it even explodes? Lmao
Don't know if anyone noticed this yet, but that blonde stripper dancing at 0:25-0:32 is, I'm sure of it, the same stripper from the Catwoman short film that was with the animated Batman movie Batman: Year One.
This is more intense than the suicide squad live action movie
Wow, I can't belive they got Tony Stark to play DeadShot.
this deadshot is fuking sick!! love his voice actor, reminds me of James Raynor from starcraft
I feel kinda bad for Punch, mission complete until getting killed by your girlfriend
Jim Pirri, Christian Slater, Dave Fennoy and more. Yes, this Animation is something good.
Punch and headshot seems to be the only ones that take their mission seriously, also poor punch
3:50. I think it was THIS moment where I realized this is probably rated R.
Dead shot looks a lot like tony stark.
