In this video, I will unbox a 65% gaming mechanical keyboard from Fantech that has a ROTARY KNOB! It’s a Fantech MAXFIT67
Nowadays, Rotary Knob is a trend as many high-end keyboards provide it in their newest keyboard line up such as GMMK Pro, Keychron, and others. The main idea is to provide the knob as a media function such as turning the volume up and down in Spotify, Apple Music, etc. But I find this knob also useable for editing video as I bind the rotation to left and right to make this knob a video scrubber. This is one of many ways to use this knob in a productive environment.
They use a South facing LED board in this keyboard. It means you can use a Cherry Profile keycaps with a long pole switch stem without any interference. That's why they also provide the keyboard with Cherry Profile style keycaps with Dye-Sub PBT material.
MAXFIT67 has 5 pins hot-swappable switch so you can change the original switch (Kailh Box White or Gateron Cap Milky Yellow) to almost all of the switches from other brands. This keyboard also has 3 available connections (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) to work in a different situation and setup. and to provide its own power, MAXFIT67 comes with a 4000mAh battery that can last up to 240hr when it’s used without RGB.

yup, it's three times more expensive than maxfit, but the connection, keycaps, switches, and south facing + knob that really makes more worth the money. it maxfit61 already suits your need, no need to replace with 67! cheers
hey, absolutely amazing video i just ordered this the other day but did not realize it was not fully hot-swap. i was just wondering witch switches are not hot-swap and are soldered?
it's fully hotswapable but not fully south facing.. 1 & 2 are north facing

Do you know if there are other software that is compatible with the keyboard so I can remap the escape key into a tilde key? I tried to download the fantech core software but it only lets me edit macros and not remap key combinations.

I only know Fantech Core so I cant comment more for this question as this keyboard doesn't support VIA.. maybe you can ask the fantech themselves in their instagram DM
Hey! I just bought this keyboard and for some reason I can't seem to customize the button for the volume knob(pressing one). It says system key cannot be modified just like the "fn" key but your seemed to be customizable according to the video. Just wanted to double check before asking fantech for help. Thank you!
I believe what you see in this video is the first firmware that's fantech released last year. Maybe fantech had updated the firmware so that you can't change the function of pressing the knob.. you can ask fantech for more further information.

is the knob able to be replaced with one that rotates smoothly?
you should change the rotary encoder with a stepless one.. but i never tried that so i cant confirm
In wireless mode, how many sec/minutes before RGB turn off and how is the connection, do you encounter any delay?
I didn't remember how long the rgb will turn off in idle. But for the connection, you won't notice any delay except you're doing a "scientific" test.. perhaps less then 20ms delay.. in fact I played apex legends with wireless mode.
in bluetooth, you will get more delay, but it's too small for a daily task..

Agak mengsedih gara-gara gk dapet raffle. Tapi gpp juga sih, abis nonton ini jd bingung mau ambil yg kailh white atau yg gateron milky yellow. Gak mungkin juga beli dua-duanya, di rumah keyboard udah ada dua yg pake boba sama cherry brown. Beli dua lagi bisa dipenggal istri.
hahah jadi reviewer juga aja om biar diizinin punya keyboard banyak kayak istri saya 😋
anyway gateron milky kan udah umum ya.. kalo kailh bisa dibilang unik jg sih.. kalo gat blue berasa jelek banget setelah pake itu.. dan bisa di rubah jadi linear kok di kailh white..
