My friends all abandoned me at my lowest point. And I tried so hard to be strong for four years. I am now 18 and independent. But everything still hurts. I am extremely sensitive but I am strong. Everything might hurt. My back and heart might have so many scars but I almost took my life. I want to tell you reading this. My arms are open no matter what you do. YUNGBLUD’s music is 50% emo quartet and 50% individuality and its perfect...
i think its actually more pop/punk
I would say, it's more pop/punk/rock/grunge. I hear influences of "Sex Pistols", "My Chemical Romance", very obviously "The Cure", "Green Day" However when Dom plays acoustically I hear influence from Nirvana🤔
He has a very "ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM" feel about his music, not only in its true meaning of against the church, but also in a "Fu€√ the System" "Breakdown the Sterotyoical, normal categories" sense that we are programmed by society to live by.
I myself have ALWAYS had this "ANARCHISTIC NONCONFORMIST" attitude😂
Fu€√ the world, live by your own rules. Doesn't mean break the law, just means don't fit yourself in a "box"

My favorite part
Ima get somewhat technical for a sec. I believe this song explores Dominic’s voice extremely well. His chest voice is great, tone smooth, especially at the start of the first verse and in the choruses. And in comparison previous songs, his voice has evolved. Anarchist shows his smoothest voice in my opinion, but this shows a different side of it. This shows that he can do so many things, and they all sound beautiful. The composition goes lovely with his tone, power, grit, etc. This I can say is one of his masterpieces when it comes to how it’s produced and recorded. The lyrics go great as well. A true artwork. Congratulations YUNGBLUD.

Man! That "I refuse to be taken" hit me in the feels. This is such a perfect way to end an album. Those drums at 3:13 sounds glorious and has The Black Parade vibe. Maybe because he grew up with those bands feeling depressed himself but with the problems of the current generation and now he is basically making his music into the confort he wish he had at the time, and those feelings really come through the song.

The verses feel very early panic, but the chorus is straight out of the black parade era, no doubt of that- and also a fair bit of pure yungblud- all that makes this my fav from the album for sure

this album came out a few days before i heard of my friend getting lost at sea from falling overboard on a navy ship. he was a good person; he was a punk kid when we were in highschool and no one believed he would be successful in life but once he graduated he went off to the navy and he finished his first year. I cried on the way home to this song while thinking about him; he was such a good person and he had such great things going for him....they never found him but this song i dedicate to my dear friend ethan. i always believed in him and this song i know he wouldve loved.
