    When I was a kid I HAD to help my dad and his friend restore a '27 Ford pickup. Slowly I began to think of it as fun rather than a chore. Over the years the project progressed and I moved away. Eventually the truck became a national show winner. My dad passed and years later his friend offered the truck to me but at the time I had no way to keep it. I often wonder where that piece of our past is now.

    I used NiRod nickle rod on cast steel .
    6011 on cast iron also ..
    Welded many manifolds blocks etc.
    Peen weld when red hot to relieve shrikage when weld cools .
    Preheat helps .
