When I heard that Ken Page had died, I called up all my RUclips clips of him in performance and have been playing them repeatedly. What a grand man and glorious talent. In this show, he reminded me of Jackie Gleason, in that he was a full-bodied man who could move with astonishing grace.
Many many years ago I worked on a show with Ken Page and---as a young fella just arrived in NYC---had no idea...who....he.....was. If I'd known his legend, I never would have gotten up the courage to talk to him. As it was I went right up to him and talked to him like he was a person. And not only was he a person, he was the nicest man-- maybe ever--in the history of persons. It's a great memory I wouldn't have if I'd been at all theatre-literate. Thank you, ignorance!

Very few lyricist ever get the chance to write something as memorable as "Your pedal extremities are colossal."
Few lyricists get to write a song as beautifully silly as this!
