Love CeDell. For me, he's on par with Son House. He plays, he OWNS the room with his style. It's the SOUL of blues that's here in spades. Contemporary blues guitar wankers take notice. This is the real stuff.
He doesn't play guitar anymore, but he is still kicking and singing, so it is still possible to see him doing that. If you're ever in the Hotsprings, Arkansas area, my uncle's band sometimes play shows with him. Their band is called Brethren. They may play shows with him elsewhere too, but as far as I know they stick pretty close to there because that is where the nursing home is that Cedell lives in.
Ustedes conocen a Elvis Presley? He ahí mi punto"
Saw him in Arkansas. He worked around his disability, which tips his knife. Deep blue. He couldn't stop playing. Typical non-committal group of high school kids. But I bet there was a lot going on behind those blank eyes. And I love his advice at the end!
Love this guy and his music.
This is the type of cultural treasure that schools should be incorporating as often as possible. A true force of nature.

In very loving memory of Mr. CeDell Davis (1926 - 2017 R.I.P. Gone but NOT forgotten).
This is blues at its most primal and at its BEST!! It's good music straight from the Arkansas Delta!
Saw this guy in Helena Arkansas and I was mesmerized by totally unique talent. The crowd in the tiny juke were as silent and attentive as these kids.
Very attentive class! Incredible. Nothing like this happened when I was in school.
Just Incredible! I Have seen Mr. Cedell Live many Times and He is Just Amazing to Watch. Totally Inspirational for Me!
Man he was actually damn good back when he was younger an coukd move a little better... absolutely incredible and I love his voice! He's got soul

Yes! They were just sitting there stunned
They weren't quite sure just what shook up their bone marrow.
That`s what I´m talking about!
You need no brilliant technique. You need no fast fingers. You need no clear sound.
All you need is the BLUES!!!
Amen!
You´re a 100 % right about that!
And a butter knife
Worst audience ever!
