39:20 That's one of the scariest and most important reason why FNAF's old games are still scary. Even if you come back after years, you can get encountered by rare animatronics. Hope they add moments like these in other FNAF games too

41:20 To clarify, Shadow Bonnie has a 0.0001% (literally one in a million) chance to appear every time you close your monitor, so on later nights where you're flipping it up and down to wind the box a lot the chance is a bit higher. Still incredibly rare though.
Love the fact that you can tell that he's operating off of pure muscle memory from playing 10/20 mode by constantly checking both vents and the hallway despite there being no audio cues to show that anything would even be in the vents

Golden Freddy is not surprising, he is an active animatronic on Night 6 and Mark went through like a dozen attempts for it. Shadow Bonnie was a surprise. I wish he found Shadow Freddy once out of the times he checked the Parts & Service Cam.
On the 6th Night, the phone guy mentions something about Jeremy (the security guard you play as) having to do one last job before the establishment shuts down for a while. That job is to watch over a children's birthday party the next day and stay close to the animatronics to ensure nothings goes wrong, while wearing his security uniform (which is purple, important detail). So, the morning of the seventh night, Jeremy does as told and is bit by one of the animatronics who rip out his frontal lobe. THAT is the bite of '87. The seventh night, you play as a new security guard under the name Fritz Smith, only for one night before the establishment is closed for good. At the time. (Fritz Smith is believed to be a fake alias for Michael Afton, revisiting the establishments trying to find answers to his father, William's wrongdoings.)

Almost everytime I play this game, I'm ALWAYS like 3 seconds late to putting the mask with withered Chica, and nearly everytime she spares me. Bonnie is not so merciful. Bonnie is a hoe.

When I was younger, I had a pen pal who kept telling me about FNAF and it scared the crap out of me. I refused to sleep with the lights off, and I refused to go into the bathroom because of the vent. The pen pal told me mainly about SL, and that was all I knew about FNAF at the time. Now, someone could ask me about FNAF or say "Is FNAF really horror, though?" and I could go on a two-hour tangent about the games and what is known about the lore. I'm obsessed, and most of it is because of Mark.

It's these kinds of tactics I see woven into content creator's videos that make me watch them less. I love Mark, but for his personality, not because of the content he advertises. Yes he might be joking, but he also might not be. It's like, are you going to keep someone in your life who only likes the drunk version of who you are? I honestly kind of forgot how good the dialog and progression of tone is with Phone Guy's lines, like at first he's so dismissive like it's all really normal to him, but as the week progresses and you start on night six he asks you what on earth you're doing there and seems really shaken up trying to tell you what happened and slap a plan together for how they're gonna take care of it in the morning, and "Just finish your shift, that's safer than trying to leave in the middle of the night" It's written in a way that really feels like a genuine reaction someone might have to a tragedy happening at their work place and how they might communicate with coworkers afterwards

To clarify, Shadow Bonnie has a 0.0001% (literally one in a million) chance to appear every time you close your monitor, so on later nights where you're flipping it up and down to wind the box a lot the chance is a bit higher. Still incredibly rare though.

Golden Freddy is not surprising, he is an active animatronic on Night 6 and Mark went through like a dozen attempts for it. Shadow Bonnie was a surprise. I wish he found Shadow Freddy once out of the times he checked the Parts & Service Cam.
Golden Freddy isn't actually that rare, he just doesn't show up until night 6
On the 6th Night, the phone guy mentions something about Jeremy (the security guard you play as) having to do one last job before the establishment shuts down for a while. That job is to watch over a children's birthday party the next day and stay close to the animatronics to ensure nothings goes wrong, while wearing his security uniform (which is purple, important detail).
So, the morning of the seventh night, Jeremy does as told and is bit by one of the animatronics who rip out his frontal lobe. THAT is the bite of '87.
The seventh night, you play as a new security guard under the name Fritz Smith, only for one night before the establishment is closed for good. At the time. (Fritz Smith is believed to be a fake alias for Michael Afton, revisiting the establishments trying to find answers to his father, William's wrongdoings.)

When I was younger, I had a pen pal who kept telling me about FNAF and it scared the crap out of me. I refused to sleep with the lights off, and I refused to go into the bathroom because of the vent. The pen pal told me mainly about SL, and that was all I knew about FNAF at the time. Now, someone could ask me about FNAF or say "Is FNAF really horror, though?" and I could go on a two-hour tangent about the games and what is known about the lore. I'm obsessed, and most of it is because of Mark.

Yeah, I like Mark's content, I just dislike the extreme approach to marketing. Of course that's what works, but it just bothers me because it mirrors a corporate tactic I dislike.
It's like "spend your entire life watching all of this over and over so I get paid." Which is kind of like bro, a couple of times yes, but I could better spend that time making a career for myself somewhere else.
It isn't the advertisements that bother me, it's the indirect "I'm taking advantage of your time and you have to do this" language he's using.
It's a similar manipulative language that uncaring organizations and toxic relationships in our own lives use.
It's a reflection of the tactic that the rich use to keep the poor where they are. Instead of motivating us to do productive things that we want to do we "have to do this thing for them to be happy." Which obviously isn't true at all, we all have free minds and can choose to do what we want.
I know I'm rambling at this point, but like let's be real. No one really talks about this. It's these kinds of tactics I see woven into content creator's videos that make me watch them less.
I love Mark, but for his personality, not because of the content he advertises. I just don't want to hear those kinds of advertisements because it reminds me of several instances in my life where I've met manipulative people who only care about using people. Yes he might be joking, but he also might not be.
It's like, are you going to keep someone in your life who only likes the drunk version of who you are? They pressure you to drink constantly all the time when you're in their company? How am I going to finish graduate school if I'm drinking all the time? How am I going to pass my exams if I'm watching one video of Mark 900 times?
I'm using an unfair example that's ignoring the personal choice that I carry into the scenario. But it's the principle behind the method that I'm trying to emphasize, not the logic behind it.
To me, the principle behind the way he uses his ads tells me that I'm just a number in a system used to his advantage.
But, two each their own I suppose.

I honestly kind of forgot how good the dialog and progression of tone is with Phone Guy's lines, like at first he's so dismissive like it's all really normal to him, but as the week progresses and you start on night six he asks you what on earth you're doing there and seems really shaken up trying to tell you what happened and slap a plan together for how they're gonna take care of it in the morning, and "Just finish your shift, that's safer than trying to leave in the middle of the night"
It's written in a way that really feels like a genuine reaction someone might have to a tragedy happening at their work place and how they might communicate with coworkers afterwards
Because everyone memes on the franchise it’s really easy to forget just how well these games set the tone

i think one of the reasons fnaf 2 is so scary is because in the first game, you were trying to keep the animatronics OUT of your office, however in this one you have to let them IN. the whole idea of the proximity you have to them at any given moment is so chilling

College may not be for everyone, but I highly recommend at least getting a certification that pertains to some of your interests! You never stop learning and college can be a great asset to pursuing your goals
I was in community college when this came out. Going for my master’s degree now! How fitting this comes full circle. :)
