I really appreciate you breaking down the cost. I don’t think it’s nitpicky at all and is very useful to keep in mind while making purchases. I went through phases of buying a lot of makeup and skincare (especially around the holidays because of the sets) and i always ended up throwing away so much product. I love your channel because of how much thought you put into whether or not something is worth a purchase. I don’t watch your videos and walk away with a huge compulsion to buy things but rather walk away feeling informed ☺️

I once asked a furniture store why a loveseat and a couch were so similarly priced. The answer was everything from start to finish was exactly the same except for the material cost. 🤯And that was only a fraction of the overall cost. It's made me look at the price of minis a bit differently. Great video! Nothing I'm going to pick up but I appreciate your break-downs so much! 😁
That's really interesting! I was actually wondering why loveseats were almost as much as couches when I was purchasing furniture. It makes sense! I guess some brands must eat the cost when it comes to minis because they offer them for a much lower price point than others but it's definitely something to consider!

Ty sm for doing these videos btw. I think if you’re younger and done suffer from constant dry lips then the Summer Fridays lip butter might seem overhyped. But as a mid thirties mom of three who has tried every lip hydration product and wasted so much money just to still have dry lips the too faced pillow balm at night and after washing my face, and the Summer Fridays balm all day long is KEY 🔑.

I got the fenty and redeemed my ulta points, so I paid $65 for the whole vault set. One of the best purchases I’ve made. I agree though, I would’ve loved to see the fenty minis make a come back.
Oh my gosh! Why do I always forget Fenty is at Ulta now?! That's an amazing deal! I might have to redeem my points for a holiday set or two!
I love the Amika dry shampoo. It's definitely works on getting rid of oils. Plus it doesn't leave my feeling dirty and gross. I love it so much. And I tried alot

I ran out of Milk Hydro-grip so i purchased the set to try the setting spray, as soon as i saw it. Such a great deal there! I also purchased the Kosas lip set and i love the minis. Plus 2 of the 3 in the set were on my Sephora wishlist so now i get to try them both plus one more. I love sets that are a good value 😊

I haven’t tried Sunday fridays and didn’t want to spend $50 on the set. The mini seems like a great options and has lots of shades to try.

Holiday makeup releases so far seem to be kind of a bust. I had waited to buy a couple of things anticipating wanting something from holiday but nothing so far.
Naturium just came out with a nudes collection for the lip balms. $10 each I think they are better than the summer fridays. They have a 4 piece set for $34
The brand semihaze feels like a scam...
I feel like that too. The packaging is definitely unique looking but it seems like they are relying on that to sell their products at a luxury pricepoint!
Two faced products formulations are horrible at Christmas time so they can make the big bucks. I won’t ever waste my money on them!
It’s so sleazy how some holiday kits are just blatantly inaccurate about the value - it’s easy enough to do the math, I think consumers are more likely to buy from brands they feel they can trust and price transparency is a big part of that.
I definitely agree with you! At first I thought there had be some typos on Sephora’s website but with the amount of inflated values attached to these kits, I have to think it was done on purpose by most of these brands. I’m surprised Sephora doesn’t hold brands accountable when it comes to this because it seems like it’s been happening more this year than in the past.

not at all you are right to nite pick price per gram and if we are getting a barging or ripped off I know at the end of the day brands have got to make money but they have already put the prices up as raw materials have gone up at least they could cut us some slack with gift boxes I watch these videos every time you make them as mist of us never take the time to actual weigh things up like the ct setting spray set ❤xx

My favorite holiday set is the farmacy cleansing balm. I love it and It's delicious smelling and great deal. Will pick up one during the sephora sale.

UGH, Too Faced is so ridiculous with the inconsistency in their eyeshadow formula. one of the palettes that sticks out to me that's an outstanding formula is the razzle dazzle berry palette. those mattes are so buttery and the shimmers feel almost like a cream. I don't get how they're capable of formula like that and so many other of the older palettes, yet put out such crap in holiday sets like these.
Oh my gosh yes! I seriously loved that palette so much. I remember it being one of their best!

thank you so much for making this video and doing allllll the breakdowns for us!!! i loveeee the summer fridays lip balms, and i did buy the 3 piece one because i reallllly wanted iced coffee and i’ve wanted the other two as well. my absolute favorite is brown sugar and that’s in the minis set, which i think you will fall in LOVEEEE with when you try it, i promise you!!! you’re not being nitpicky, you’re giving us FACTS!!! i’ve wanted to try simi haze for a while and i think i’d just buy one full size lipstick in the shade i have wanted for so long. i’m sorry, but too faced’s holiday palettes are always garbage with their quality. i definitely picked up the fenty gloss bomb trio on their website VERY recently because they were having an awesome sale, and i picked up the hollagram shade as well. the bigger set looks AWESOME, but i reallllly wish they were minis!!! milk always does a great job with their holiday sets. the lys cream blush set looks awesome, and i plan on picking it up during the sale. ♥️♥️♥️
the CT setting spray feels like you're spraying yourself in the face with perfume 😭

One thing I wanted to note is that I think the Charlotte tilbury setting spray mini duo could be a good deal if someone is looking to put together gifts or stocking stuffers for the holidays! Otherwise the full size is definitely the better value.
That too faced holiday set retail value had to be an error and I think they realized it because they removed the retail value all together. I purchased the summer fridays mini set and I love it. Also got the CT mini spray set bc I wanted travel sizes of my favorite sprays so I don’t have to travel with the large bottle I have. I have a bunch of setting sprays and only use that one for special glam makeup but its nice to have the small for short getaways or to freshen your makeup on the go. Thank you for making these types of videos. I can tell you put a lot of thought and work into it 💕🌷💕

Yes for sure! Value is definitely subjective! Monetary value is only one factor to take into consideration but other things like shades and whether or not someone will use the products makes a difference too!
