Pretty curious, JJ! I use to get much more range with my FlySky FS-GT3C... Up to around 1km in FPV. But I use to put the receiver's antenna vertically using the tube it comes with. But... Go figure. 😕 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I run FlySky, So many questions.. so what receiver were you using? Was the receiver antenna run straight up full length out of the radio box? What software version were you using? What voltage battery are you using for receiver? I have an NB4 with zero issues, definitely a different radio.. the new stuff is pretty solid reception wise.

Get yourself a sanwa TX and Rx brother. Yes expensive but sooo worth it
