Can't believe there's not like, thousands of comments by now! This is an amazing explanation, probably one of jdsu/viavi's best kept secrets. Second time watching, it's soaking in... can't wait to watch it again. Want to master this RFL understanding, and it's application in the field. YES, I want to read the white paper, how do I get a copy?

Had a hard short on tip and cross on ring side today that I couldn’t locate. That’s why I’m watching this video again

Hi jeff, we got two wires and one red jdsu clipper on faulty one and black clipper on good pair. But green for earth and how we can putt green on cable because we got only two pair cable. We do rfl to find how many meters from our side where we sit on pit or pillar. It’s confusing to connect green clipper on wire. It should be on earth.

Hello Sukhdeep Singh - Since we are creating an electrical circuit to measure an unknown electrical resistance by balancing two legs of a bridge circuit, one leg of which includes the unknown component, the lead connection needs to follow the diagram on the screen for single or separate pair. Either way, the green and red test leads will always be connected to the faulted side of the pair under test. As always, the gauge and temperature must be set also. If you have further questions, please email TAC at viavisolutions dot com.

These days mostly common problem is HIGH RESISTANCE. Like drop out. So could you please make more video on RFL test. For in my JDSU i have three leads. One is Red, Second is Black which we normally plug on every time for any result like. On cable. Third is Green colour that one we use for earth. Please describe us more information that would be appreciated from our company. 🙏🏻
