That's such a CUTE farm stand!!
Thanks!
Lovely path you have chosen for this season of your life.
@@aplantbasedwife we are very happy we close this path. It's been good for our entire family.
There’s always something to do on the farm! Thanks for sharing your day with us. Ruby is adorable
That is SO true...always something to do. We think Ruby is pretty adorable too. (except when she's getting into trouble...haha)
That's a great day in my book😊
It sure is.....especially since we did get rain. 😊
Looks like everyone had a beautiful day. Rain is a good thing, after you have things put away. God bless y'all and keep growing!!
@@nancyseery2213 rain is an AMAZING thing.... Especially for gardeners/farmers.
My brother had a blue heeler that LOVED LOVED LOVED to fetch her frisbee. She would wear my brother out.😂 She lived a good long life and untill the very end she wanted to play fetch.Love from.Missouri
Yeah, that's probably Ruby's favorite thing. She gets VERY excited when she sees the frisbee come out. 😁
As always, enjoyable video
THANKS!
Lovely video. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your day.
Thanks. We're glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the kind words.
I really enjoyed this video 🌱🌱🌱💚
Thanks!
Brings back memories. Nothing more wonderful than a day on the farm. We had the fun of watching our kids grow up along with that. We had many Rubies too. Love your doggie. She will keep you young even with the mischief. Thanks for sharing.
Since we started this journey later in life we didn't get to see out kids grow up on the farm, but we're able to see our grandchildren loving the farm.
Your garden is looking so good! You might check with the local flower farmers and see what they charge per stem. You might be seriously underpricing your flowers. Around here we expect to pay $1. or more for bigger flowers.
Thanks! Yeah, the flowers are pretty cheap, but I love growing flowers and it's worth it to me. I do charge more for things like sunflowers.
@@waardenburgfamilyfarm4764 Don't undercut your local flower growers too much though.... Coram Deo Flower Farm and Flower Hill Farms are RUclipsrs who have some great advice/tips for flower farmers.
Beautiful just Beautiful all your fruit trees.. I have a 22 year old Asian pear tree that gives me about 200 pounds of pears but this last winter I did a massive pruning because the tree was so above the roof line I could not get to the fruit so we did a massive pruning and of course, like you said when spring came that they shot up everywhere so I don’t expect very much fruit this year. It’ll probably be next year. I see some but they tell me that I might skip a year whenever we have hurricanes the tree goes into a shock mode and it skips year as well. I’m in Houston Texas and you know there’s some hurricanes out there now. 🍐
Wow, 200 pounds!! Hopefully it will bounce back quickly and start giving you a big harvest soon. Hopefully the hurricanes stay away from your area.
Ya, I bought some parsley from you a few weeks ago I think. I make parsley water using Mountain Valley water. It gives me so much energy! There are a lot of bioavailable nutrients to be distributed when you make parsley water. I will be by again to see if you have Curley parsley.
and I didn't realize how much more fun it is to watch content when the family lives right down the street. It adds so much more context to things. You are the only youtuber that I watch that is local!!! We are so lucky!!
Wow, thanks! Glad to hear from a local friend.
Beautiful farm and another great video! Thank you for sharing a day on the farm ❤ Nice to see you guys have fun while you are doing all that work.
Sorry to see the pest issues on the fruit trees. Have you considered Surround Kaolin clay? I tried it for the first time this year and it has worked great on the fruit trees! Also sprayed squash stems and no vine borers so far. For fruit trees it needs to be sprayed right after flower petals fall off.
Thanks! We've just started to look into the Kaolin Clay. We might give that a try next year. I'd never heard of it used for squash vine boreres, but I'll definitely be trying that. I HATE coming out and finding a squash plant that pretty much dies overnight from those nasty pests.
Don and Brenda The Gardening Channel with James Prugioni uses a Kaolin clay called Surround WP made by Nova Source that he swears by to protect his friut trees from those beatles so i just thought you might want to look into it the plum curcullo is what he also called it
Thanks for the suggestion! We did some research and ordered some Surround kaolin clay. We're anxious to give it a try.
We need rain in Grandview, Tennessee. We've had maybe 2 tenths of an inch of rain in 6 weeks. Temps have been in the high nineties and heat index 110 at times.
Oh my!!! You REALLY need rain. I hope you get some soon.
I had the same issue with plums.
All fruit trees are a bit of a challenge. (a BIG challenge) Were you able to get some decent plums?
@@waardenburgfamilyfarm4764 Get Santa Rosa plums, they are one of the tastiest varieties.
When will you guys ship? No joke I’d be happy to pay handsomely for honey and candles! Just a suggestion!
We might have to start exploring that possibility. (especially is all 8 hives produce like those two did)
@@waardenburgfamilyfarm4764 right? You’re in for some serious production! It’s exciting! Just a little thought tossed out there for you!
Do you have any problems with the neighbors beeping so close with smells my step son lives in liberty pa and the new estate oweners complain about farm smells although they built there estates knowing there are farms nearby
@@jeffphillips6795 wow, that's a tough question. We are a small farm so we don't generate as much animal waste as some...but in the summer the barn can smell bad as the steers get out of the hot sun. This farm has been here 200 years and neighbors would rather keep the farm rather than develop the land for a suburban neighborhood. We try our best to be good neighbors.
