- @AdrienRaza and Blair Conklin build a Pool leading up to a ledge at the beach. The whole process of building the pool took quite a bit longer than expected and gave us little time to skim before dark. After all the fun that we had you can bet that we will be trying this again some time soon!

It's great to see Blair continuously fail to pull off this new stunt because it shows he's actually human. Watching him experience the same frustration beginners do who are new to skimboarding and surfing, for example, is inspiring and reminds the rest of us, the beginners, to keep grinding away until we get the results we want. It takes a big man not to shy away from looking awkward while learning how to do something new and challenging. Thank you, Blair.

just bought my first Victoria wooden skimboard for 60 bucks at the thrift store, went down the street to the surf shop to get some surf wax and they were selling it in the window for $140. it's wooden though so it's a good beginner board

That landing looked extra nasty, maybe try a sheet of ply underneath to smooth the landing. The landing was receiving constant impact and sand compacts even more when you add water. The ply would expand the impact from the landing and not harden the sand landing. I dunno I’m high it’s 4 am

I already know how slippery that plastic is on the landing though🤙
the landing is quite difficult. the vertical damping done with the legs needs to be done in a way that doesn't create a lot of horizontal motion on the board. try having your legs separated as much as possible on the board when jumping and landing
It looked like it should have been a little bit more flat for the landing of tarp is that tarp looked really raggedy a lot more water for it look pretty dry but did a hell of a job

Someone really needs to upload B-Rothe’s part from Sicky Rolla. I think it came out in like 2006 -following year he won the biggest flatland comp of the time (Sac Skimfest), and his first flatland comp ever. Dude was so rad.

I got a skimboard today and I was doing good and I got on the board and the board slipped out from under me and the front of my foot landed while I went back and it hurts so bad and it’s only our first day at the beach
When Blair slid bare skin across dry patch of plastic, looked painful. Hope it was not as bad as it looked. Otherwise, some innovative cool fun.
And the tarp should literally be in the shoreline

also.. don't dig the hole on the landing... its easier to dig the hole at the side.. so you don't have to throw sand up hill.
A water pump would work great for this. Then you wouldn’t have to waste good water.

Looks like alot of fun. Too bad you had to waste so much fresh water. How much water do you think you wasted...1week, 2 weeks worth? When with a few 5 gal. buckets, some time & the ocean, you have water all day. As a role model to thousands young people, you may want to think things out a little better next time. I do enjoy your videos. Reminds me of my younger days.

Farmers in California must limit watering to their fruit and vegetable crops so Blair can build a freshwater pond on the beach. That skim set up is killer but maybe invest into a gas powered water pump to fill it with sea water instead cuz those woke cali conservatives could have a field day with this.
