- An inside look into a day in life of a Chief Officer onboard a ship, the vessel YWAM PNG. A typical day at a not so typical location - as the ship operates in one of the most remote places on earth.
My role goes by many names, synonymous with Chief Mate / Chief Officer / FIrst Officer/ First Mate, but pretty much it is the head of the deck department.

@@Myce It may seem a dream for the first contract. You'd be surprised how fast human gets used to things. Good and bad.
@@arudenko87 very true, I once had a contract in the middle easts most luxurious hotel and got to live in one of their best rooms which sell at $3000 a night. Got boring after a while but now remember how amazing it was, what an amazing opportunity I had.

He could technically spend more of his free time sleeping if he wanted to, but even then it's a long work day
He's working on a medical ship, that run by all volunteers, no payment. Only the ones who love their jobs
Come on them Product Tankers mate..at times u work straight up for 36 hrs have a nap for about 3 hrs come back and do another 24 hrs...but then it's satisfying in the end when the jobs done well.

Been working as a photographer for a travel agency and been visiting and shooting at a lot of hotels. To prevent big lines at lunch and dinner they had 2 - 3 different times for the arrivals on some hotels. Like families with children would get the first time and so on... wouldn't maybe work on a boat like yours, since I have no clue whats its like working on a cool boat like yours...but maybe would help to reduce the line and keep guests happy. :) Thnx for sharing, amazing world you live in!

I love those videos of people showing their daily lives. And yours looks like an amazing one to live. It's very scheduled on the one hand (I love structure too), but being there on a ship, looking out over the ocean and weather, I've seen in your 30 day timelapse how beautiful that can be.

Jeff you've come so far and matured so much as I have been blessed enough to have been around for awhile and have witnessed years in the hours that you share.
