HI to all ! how help me ... i not understand the various set-up into the MENU , in this video is not so clear ... how HELP me , what the step by step to se the RX signal on the display of nanoVNA ? tnx 73
Presumably I can chuck this on the end of a VFO to check my harmonics and filter designs? I have just made an Arduino + Si5351a rig but I am very aware that it is probably pissing everywhere right now... Need to clean it up before I send it into an amp circuit (which will be the Ten Minute Transmitter, actually).
Hello Peter! Bob here in Central Oregon USA. Thanks for the video. I wasn't aware a Nano VNA could be used as a frequency spectrum scope. I built a 2 meter Yagi and was wondering how I could test forward gain and rejection and I think you have given me a clue how to do it.
How much TX power are you sending into the NanoVNA? Also, the resolution of the spectrum analyze is apparently terrible. It’s more accurate when you zoom out.
Good video Peter. Just one thing. With the Nano VNA, when you enter your frequency using the stimulus menu, I find it easier to use the touchscreen instead of the wheel thing. Using a clickey pen not clicked or a stylus of sorts its pretty easy with the resistive touch screen. Also I'm afraid of breaking that spring loaded wheel thing. Also touching on the end of the video. Would there be enough gain from s0 output to use it as a crude frequency generator for a DC receiver? Or even a double balanced mixer? Something I've been meaning to tinker with... The other thing I wanted to test with the VNA is if it can be used for testing crystals or even finding the resonance for unknown crystals. i think you could use it to track down interference too with loop antenna you should try it
Thanks Peter, I have not seen this done before.👍🤓

Nice, i will try it,thanks Peter!
that would be nice but it doesn't work for me. what kind of settings do you have in vna. could you show them
Hi Peter, I am surprised that you have not done an antenna noise bridge, as a part of your minimum QRP.

Genius!

I think I might give this a shot to figure out if my mobile receiver is getting RF interference.
Wonder if you could use this to check for spurs on DDS output?
my vna doesn’t seem to be sensitive enough for this or am i doing something wrong

how do you zoom out?
@@justmewdean You zoom in and zoom out by adjusting the frequency range of the scope.
The image frequency and harmonics are not eliminated in the nanoVNA...
Good Job....

I'd like to see it sweep a handful of crystals, then a series of simple crystal filters like we use in basic QRP rigs. Two crystals, then, 3, then 4.
@@Paul_VK3HN Good idea! I'll see what I can do.
Did you plug in antenna cable directly into vna?
Yes
Would a TinySA do a better job?
Wouldn't know.
I can't see all the keystrokes.
hi, I bought a nano nvna and they informed me that this is possible to convert it into a spectrum analyzer this can be done through the firmware?
Hi Oscar - sorry I don't know.
Thanks Another good video Peter. De G0STE
A.M MODULATION...YOU ARE INDICATING BOTH SIDEBANDS OF THE CARRIER.
But the carrier itself was not there?
I didn't slow it down enough to see if it is DSBSC or a single side band with carrier. They may do things differently down under.
dude its a touchscreen
The touch recognition is terrible on those things
🤔 works fine for me, you might need to calibrate touch
